They will, there will be a Guilty Verdict. What else, I cannot say. She won't be getting out.

in the CA case, for some reason they could not connect her hands to the actual death...what did she do and how. They felt they were missing something.

I know some of you will kill me for this ... well, not analogy but... In that case, you have a mother and a dead daughter. The impact on my life and yours is not directly seen. We can feel bonded and close to the little toddler through video and photos and really felt horrible grief over that. And disdain for the mom if not others. But her deed hurt herself and her parents and siblings and her extended family. She lives with that.

I wonder if in a case like that, it was easier to let the details get blurred because this was her own daughter.

In a case like this, this woman traveled 1280 miles and killed someone else's family member, and it affects his entire family that this stranger destroyed a part of them.

I don't know if that expresses what I mean? And every life is precious, but from a Juror seat... are they all equal?

I do understand what you mean Steph.

The honest truth even though we all mourn deeply here when an innocent child is murdered... no justice is not equal. Most of us are mothers ourselves and it affects us profoundly. But if we have been here as a member for a long time then we know little children do not seem to get equal justice if they are killed by one of their parents... especially if the murderer is their bio mom. I have continously voiced my opinion about how unfair the justice system is when it come to giving justice to the innocent who cannot defend themselves. Moms can do the most horrendous abuses/torture/neglect and even murder their own children and sometime they will even get probation or their sentence is a short stint of a few years. We are beginning to see some cases where the mother is sentenced as harshly when fathers kill their own but it is still very unequal based on the gender of the parent. That is the ones that are convicted and then we have the awful memories of how Caylee was robbed of the justice she so deserved.

However imo ALL life is precious. I dont rate one over the other. If Caylee had been a grown young woman murdered by her mother I would want the same justice for her.

It makes Travis's life no less worthy because he happened to be a 30 year old young man. No one should have to endure the torturous ending he had to suffer. I have been reading and researching crimes for over 3 decades and this one in particular has tugged at my heart strings and brought many tears and prayers for his family. It has affected me as profoundly as Caylee and Shasta and Dylan Greone cases have.

I guess because we saw Travis in photos minutes before he died. We have seen the haunting look in his eyes as he looks into the eyes which had to be pitch black with evil staring back into his eyes.

As a domestic violence survivor I feel a closeness to Travis. I could have easily been a murder statistic like he is. I feel I understand him and what he had to go through while trying to appease a psychopath.

Travis has touched my heart and I will never forget this case nor Travis and his family who have remained so strong in the worst of times.

Justice will come but Travis is forever gone and imo I believe if his psycho had never crossed his path he would have gone on to do more great things in his life. Everyone said that Travis was so loving and would give the shirt off of his back in order to help someone. So many have stepped forward to say that Travis Alexander made a postive impact on their lives. I wish he still had a chance to live and be happy but his life was cut short by a green eyed monster of darkness.:(

Well, she said it was because she was talking to this other guy and Travis "freaked out" because she accidentally sent the other guy's text message to Travis. From the texts between Jodi and Travis, it's obvious he was not jealous because he knew she was lying about the message that was supposedly meant for that other guy (who most likely did not even exist).

However, I think there was something more that he was mad about.

I got the sense it was a "last straw" moment for him, he was angry about her whole history with him, but this fake message is what set him off.

Sometimes Drew acts positively senile. I cannot stand when he interrupts people who actually have something to say. Whatever the opposite of insightful is, that is Drew.

whatever happened to through Dr Drew i loved on Loveline with Adam Corolla? Did he get a lobotomy or something?

She's not in Estrella?

Oh, and, just a thought... you could always send the Toblerone to me instead! :great:

What's the story with the toblerone?
Oh I live next door to Starbucks! Had a strawberry frappucino! I wasn't impressed!

If Jodi is given less than LWOP, what are the chances she can be charged with forging the letters and presenting them as official evidence? Wouldn't that add quite a bit of time as well?

anyone know why I can't chat on the talk show? I have the chat box up but cannot get it to "chat"

I've skipped about 15 pages on this thread but we've been wondering what it was that Jodi did to cause Travis to send that text where he was going to tell her family, friends, etc. what she had done. Perhaps it was the tire slashing, getting into his bank accounts, and that she had stolen his journals? (I don't know when the journals were stolen.):waitasec:

I was under the impression that Travis went to his Bishop about his sexual transgressions when he was involved with Deanna. IIRC Jodi testified that Travis was reluctant to go to the Bishop about their misbehavior, in part, because it would be a second admission. I dismissed Dateline's implication that Travis went back to the Bishop as confusion on their part. Is there any other info supporting the idea that Travis went to the Bishop after Jodi's April '08 move back to CA ?

This is reading like a crime novel. I'm transcribing, but left off certain things...items are in so you can tell the players.

-------------
Officers began to contact the people involved. These people included the reporting party Michelle Lowery, her boyfriend Dallin Forrest, Marie Hall, (Mimi about to go to Cancun), Enrique Cortez (rented room), Zachary Billings (rented room) and Amanda McBrien (Zachary's girlfriend)

They checked Travis’ bedroom door and found it locked. They were able to find a key to the bedroom door and opened it only to discover what appeared to be blood on the carpet leading into the master bathroom. They also discovered large amounts of dried blood throughout the bathroom floor and walls. After a closer look in the bathroom, they found a body of a deceased male sitting in the shower with the door open. It appeared that the deceased was Travis, so they exited and called the authorities. The other roommate, Enrique Cortez, had been asleep in his room so they informed of the situation and he also exited the house.

Before we could determine what had happened to Travis, the subject on scene had begun to mention the name, Jodi Arias. They told officers that if someone had done harm to Travis, we needed to look at Jodi Arias as an investigative lead. The initial information given to me about this Jodi Arias was that she was Travis’ ex-girlfriend. They had lived together for a while in this house and had just recently broken up. Since the break up, Travis and his knew girlfriend had their tires slashed. Jodi had apparently stolen Travis’ personal journals, had his e-mail passwords and let Travis know she knew about the other girls he was currently dating. They had broken up several months ago and she moved back to California to be with her family. As far as everyone knew she was still in California.

As we waited for other detectives to arrive to assist with the investigation, I received information from Travis friends at the scene, that Jodi Arias had called them and wanted to know what was going on. She had also mentioned she wanted to talk to the investigating officers.

Why were the friends/roomates saying that they had just recently broken up within the last few months? Is this whole break up the year before just another JA story? To make it look more like Travis was using her rather than them actual being "official"...in her words. Or because her story had to include that she had broken up with him?
