Why dont the talking heads realize thAt the cross is taking longer because jodi is lying from the stand, playing word games and acting like she's clueless. it would move faster if she just told the truth and answered what is asked of her. they're taking frustration oit on juan when jodi is the problem. she's been on the stand for days on direct, this is his 3rd day. what cant they understand.

Thank You Tinkabella!!! Exactly.

Take the fact we know exactly what her game is with the parsing of all the words JM gives her in a question----Now watch and listen to her---it is a riot--one would have to say she is dumb as a box of rocks, DUH!! UMMMMMMMM!

That is what makes it bearable for me to watch!!

Can someone please tell me whether it is true that JA in direct said that her laptop was in her bedroom when the burglary took place? Yesterday she said it wasn't in her bedroom.

You sound like my DH! :giggle: He always says, she admitted to killing him - There shouldn't even be a trial! I see what you are saying.

For me, I'm just fascinated by her audacity to sit on the stand thinking she is smarter than everyone else, and will somehow get out of this!

If what he manfriend says is true, the killer thinks she will only get manslaughter and will be out in no time.

I'll be honest I really haven't been following this case (IMO there is nothing to follow, it's pretty cut and dry) but I'm surprised it's being followed as much as it is. Perhaps that's due to the nature of crime. I see this trial (and the media attention toward it) as a waste. A waste of taxpayer money and of people's time. The woman killed him, it's not even a question. She's obviously a danger to society, it's not even a question. This trial is basically window dressing for simply deciding if she should get the DP or not, which in itself is a joke because the complexities of our legal system means that's not going to happen anytime soon either if she gets that.

I dunno, I guess to me it's ridiculous how our justice system is tied up with cases like this where the there is no question to guilt but yet the circus needs to be played out 'to protect their rights'.

IMO only.

BBM: This case is "cut and dry" -- a "no brainer" ... BUT ...

- Jodi is the one who LIED repeatedly to LE and gave them the "run around" ...

- Jodi changed her "story" so many times I can't keep track of them all ...

- And NOW her "latest version" is SELF DEFENSE -- which I say BS ! But she is "sticking to it" even though Mr. Martinez has CLEARLY PROVED PRE-MEDITATION !

JMO ... but one important thing that needs to be cleared up in this trial is TRAVIS' REPUTATION -- Jodi has made up LIE after LIE after LIE about this man, calling him an abuser and a "pedo", and she has made so MANY nasty insuations against Travis, it makes me SICK !

Mr. Martinez is doing everything he can to clear this up and is doing a :great: job !

It is reprensible what Jodi and her DT have done to Travis' reputation -- he is the ONLY VICTIM here and HE is the one should have RIGHTS -- not Jodi !

Yes, our justice system is tied up with "circuses" like this case -- the unnecessary information about "sex" and "religion" -- that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MURDER -- have come out in this trial because of the Jodi and her defense ...

Yes, the show must go on ...

I just :please::please::please: that the Jury "gets it" !

JMO and :moo::moo::moo:

Good morning cityslick :-) I agree with you about the DP being a joke, I really see no difference between the DP and LWOP. I'm watching this trial because I've never known anyone like JA. The way she stares, the way she talks, the way she questions every phrase Juan Martinez says, I love watching him little by little tear apart her lies. It bothers me very much that she is saying she is a victim. People like JA make it hard for true victims. I think that's why this trial is important, Juan Martinez needs to do just what he's doing, he needs to show who the true victim is and it's not JA!

Just a few questions JM should have asked yesterday ...

1) Where did you keep this extra 2+ gallons of gas if you returned the 3rd gas can ... in zip locks ? Why did you return it ? Did you return the can to the same Walmart at which it was purchased ? If so, how far did you drive before turning around to return it ?

2) Did the skaters take the license plate screws or did you pick them when retrieving the plate ?

3) If you were nearsighted on 6/2/08 as you say, how were you able to drive without corrective lenses ?

4) On direct examination, you testified that Travis went out and carried your bags into the house on 6/4/08 ... then how is it that you were able to surprise him in his office ?

The devil is in the details ...

BBM Yes!!! She said she had the 2 extra gallons "somewhere", now I'm waiting for JM to ask where. With all of the details she remembers, this would be significant enough to remember. If she claims she doesn't remember, JM can really go after her about it. IMO

BBM

This isn't true... last time I was at DMV (in 2010) I asked if I had to say "corrective lenses" since I have glasses to see "distance". DMV told me "no" because I can see without the glasses, so they're not "corrective lenses".

I think you may have been misinformed.

That's not cut and dried :seeya: Plus I've already said I think he's going to jail but this isn't about OP.

Does anyone believe that JA is innocent of a crime here?

She could still end up with a minimal charge like manslaughter...or cant they acquit her if they believe her ridiculous self defense claims?

I just found this hope it won't blow the margins!

This is an excellent rendition of the debate we have been having on here about the order of the wounds.

I don't know who Dr. Terry is--another medical examiner? But, he disagrees with the ME in this case, and says the gunshot wound was first.

Dr. Horn believes it was last because lack of evidence of bleeding, but decomposition hindered efforts to determine the nature of that wound. Also, Dr. Terry says that if the jugular wound or the vena cava wound came shortly afterwards [which we know it did] there would be little time to bleed into the head, etc.

The big problem for me with the head shot first is that I would expect him to lose consciousness. But, given the small caliber of the bullet and the fact that it was on the periphery of the brain, maybe he could recover enough to make the effort to protect himself with the defensive wounds.

The biggest hurdle for me is how she managed to disarm his abilities to protect himself from her so quickly. The only other wound, other than the gunshot wound, that would so thoroughly accomplish this is the wound to the neck but we know that didn't come first. Otherwise, I think he could have stopped her had he sustained any of the other wounds first.

So, that's it. I'm going with gunshot first and then the toy gun jammed so she switched weapons. And, that, my friends is all you need for premeditation.

IMO

Joey Jackson fan page on Facebook is saying he will be hosting In Session from 9-10am.

I just love him, his views and his NY accent!

Did anyone catch the part in the 48 Hours interview where she talked about how Travis "mirror matched" her the first night they met? Pure projection of the only way she knows how to maneuver in her entire life.

Sure did. Went in a different direction with it, though, saw it as another example of her extreme narcissism and sociopathy. Her words say that she didn't see TA as an person in his own right, independent of her. Even back then, in the 1st hours they are met, she has stripped TA of his autonomy and reduced him in her mind as one who exists to do whatever and say whatever is pleasing to her. .

This alone is what might make the biggest difference between her verdict and Casey Anthony's. Casey's lawyers were smart enough to keep her off the stand. Jodi Arias is making herself look like a fool with her outrageous lies. I lied before, but now I will only tell the truth-under oath!!!

fca also didn't grant interviews--when they noticed that the visitations were released those stopped as well--they knew to shut her up

I have in my mind that on direct examination JA said her luggage was in the car during the afternoon and she thought the camera was too...in fact she didn't believe her camera was used at all on this part of the trip. Now we are hearing about the sex video being made using her camera. I could be sooo wrong on this...just shooting from memory (which is dangerous). Yesterday I kept waiting for JM to refer to her earlier statement that she said her camera never came out of her car in Mesa. Anyone else remember her saying this or am I mixed up???

Yes I remember too. I always wondered if she also took photos of the crime with her own camera. I also wonder if she maybe swapped memory cards from his camera to hers. Ive also known people that carry multiple camera memory cards too and would use other ones when one filled up.

I just wonder if there are more unknown pictures out there that she kept as a souviner of crime. She seemed the type to take a bunch of pictures and save them to gloat over.

I noticed in most (if not all) of her stops involve one person or another. She mentioned in 48 hours that she planned to go to San Diego.

I wonder what's here that interests her? She doesn't seem the zoo or sea world type. It's gotta be a person, and I wonder who it is.

MOO

Mel

She has stated previously either in a media interview or in court that John Dixson lived in San Diego and she had thought about going to see him as well.

Did anyone else hear what I did during Nancy Grace last night? I typically mute the TV when that wack job "friend" of JA opens his mouth, but I heard this this exchange.

NG asked him what JA has been saying to him about the trial. He said that he had spoken to her last Sunday and that the topic had largely been how to "deal" with someone "here on the outside," and of course declined to provide a name.

I obviously could be 100 percent wrong, but my immediate response was -- whoa....He's referring to MM and essentially passing along a threat by JA that he had better stay loyal and keep quiet.

Did anyone catch any of that?

I didn't catch that but from watching her testimoney---she ain't happy with Matt---he did something to pizz her off

I said the exact same thing to DH tonight! I'm near-sighted but I can see license plates and cars. I need glasses to drive because I can't read tiny street signs until I am practically on top of them. If she really needs glasses for driving, the DMV will have it stated as a restriction on her driver's license. Besides, wasn't she wearing contacts back then?

YES! I was thinnking the same thing, contacts! I can't remember seeing photos of her with Travis wearing glasses.

I am having a hard time keeping her testimony straight. She has surely scrambled my brains.
