I'll be honest I really haven't been following this case (IMO there is nothing to follow, it's pretty cut and dry) but I'm surprised it's being followed as much as it is. Perhaps that's due to the nature of crime. I see this trial (and the media attention toward it) as a waste. A waste of taxpayer money and of people's time. The woman killed him, it's not even a question. She's obviously a danger to society, it's not even a question. This trial is basically window dressing for simply deciding if she should get the DP or not, which in itself is a joke because the complexities of our legal system means that's not going to happen anytime soon either if she gets that.
I dunno, I guess to me it's ridiculous how our justice system is tied up with cases like this where the there is no question to guilt but yet the circus needs to be played out 'to protect their rights'.
