Yeah, maybe they can duct tape her to a handtruck a la' Hannibal Lector and roll her to the funeral under guard, but that is the only way she is going to the funeral. I think she will have to watch the funeral on tv along with everyone else. She made her own bed.

Oh I quite agree that she made her bed... I was more interested in the legal aspect of it. She is, in a court of law, presumed innocent. So if she's "hypothetically" not the perpetrator until proven to be, even with no bond, would the law look at the funeral of her daughter as something she would be allowed to attend, even with escorts/custodians/guards?

Let's assume [for a just a second ;) ] - that there was indeed a nanny, and that the nanny is responsible for Caylee's death [I know :shakehead: ] - and KC wasn't allowed to attend her child's funeral... could the defense argue this point to a court and have them let her out to attend.

I agree 100% that she is responsible for murdering this precious baby, I'm just curious whether or not [legally] the presumption of innocence extends that far, to something as highly important as the funeral of one's child. Would there ever be such a motion? Precedence for such a motion? During a request like this, would the prosecution argue it's case against her [essentially laying their cards on the table prior to trial]?

It's not the emotional reaction to this question I'm after - I'm right there with you on that - just wondering if there are any legal eagles out there who know this portion of law.

I guess I got some part of it answered and maybe this is the crux if I'm understanding it correctly? Due the fact that she is held without bond, she has no rights. But is anyone charged with murder [innocent or guilty] held without bond? Or is it just this case? And did they have to set out the evidence to get her held without bond, or is everyone charged with murder [innocent and guilty] held without bond?

Thanks for the input! :)

Ditto
I thought that it meant they updated findcaylee website about discovery. The topics are all over the place.

I confuse easily though.

I thought it meant that the thread was discussion about the family after the remains were discovered, and that someone added their "statement" as an Update.

I'm so glad the statement didn't include "We will be looking tirelessly for the person who did this to Caylee."

Are they finally going to give up on the zanny story? Dare to dream...

(WHOOPS ETA I see others have already said this. :) )

I think that the Anthony's are truly mourning the loss of their granddaughter and maybe they don't want to go see Casey. They knew from the beginning that she was lying about something. I read through the docs yesterday and found out that GA made a trip to see law enforcement w/o CA knowledge. He knew KC had done something terrible to that child. Maybe its not the lawyers telling them not to go see KC, maybe at this point they don't want to have anything to do with their daughter bcuz they know she's guilty.

That picture of George just got me. It's time for them to let this all go and begin to grieve. The time I spent with him, one on one as he shared personal stories and cried, showed me who he really was and now he can let everyone else know as well. Flame away at me but I think he is a very good person lost in a horrible situation. His early tapes with investigators show his true colors too. Honest and desperate.

I'm more moved to tears just watching John Walsh on CNN. They finally closed Adam's case and he cried, hugged the investigators, said a lot of "God Bless You's".

That was the image of a man grieving - one who has grieved for 3 decades now.

I do not think CAsey will be allowed out for the funeral - one she is a flight risk, even with guards anything can happen, look at the case so far! And second, there won't be enough security - the same as the SP case, too high profile

I don't think kc should be allowed to attend the funeral, when she threw her child into the woods she had already said her goodbye. I feel so bad for the A's family. Do you honestly think they would want to see their daughter at the funeral? She's the reason that there will be a funeral in the first place.

Honestly, do you think even if allowed, kc would want to be at the funeral? I think she would refuse to go even if given the chance.

I think GA has known something for a while, he seems to be ahead of C in the greiving process.

KC has less chance of being at the funeral than Zanny showing up with her step sister in the silver ford focus.

OMG , this is so heartbreaking. I am really worried about George's mental state. Remember he purchased a gun and contemplated suicide in September?
I know his heart is broken. God bless him.

ditto, he knows what is ahead in this game for his whole family...........everything is gone now...........IMO

why is he all alone in the car? where was C and LA??? no support system???
