I'll never understand why a parent would ever think that killing the other parent is a solution to their problems.

Did he really think he could get away with a horrendous murder and then go on to live life and never look back?

Yes.

IMO people who premeditate a murder are not hard wired like normal people with a conscience. They also usually think they are superior in intelligence and can run circles around the rest of us and so good looking that we will fall under their spell. They think they can plan the perfect murder and fall back on their irresistible charm if in a jam.

I wonder how much they were spoiled as children? Always getting their way? Being the center of attention? Never having to work to get what they want? Never learning to share? Never being denied or hearing the word 'no'?
I wonder how many spoilt brats grow up to be self entitled, ill equipped adults like Casey Anthony, Jodi Arias and Brett Seacat.

But I do think this type of murderer (planned) will look back FONDLY on his/her crime and relish how he/she showed the victim who was in charge and never to cross him/her again.

But, I absolutely do not believe he tried to pick up or move his wife at all.
He would have had blood on him if he had, and he had no blood on himself.

QUOTE=Melanie;9558645]That got to me too. running up the stairs, through fire, opening the door, pulling and pushing on Vashti, running downstairs to get cloth, putting the kids and doggies in the car, buckling up the kids.

ALL while having the cell phone in his left hand.

Makes me :floorlaugh:

Morning all!

Love the scent of verdict watch in the morning...smells like justice. :)

This has always astounded me. Who thinks 'I don't want to be married anymore. I know, why don't I come up with a plan and kill my husband/wife?' I could wrap my head around killing someone in a heated argument maybe, but these cold blooded, premeditated murders just amaze me. I don't understand why this would seem like a good idea to anyone.:banghead:

I know...it's demented.

I don't want to pay child support and move out of my house so I'll kill her, burn down the house and then me and the kids can live happily ever after.

Instead these clowns take both parents away from their children they supposedly love so much leaving them to be raised by family members if they are lucky.

I hope the jury reads the text messages the defense pointed out. She filed for divorce because of his problems. She wasn't cheating. She says to her friend that HE had to change. She didn't do anything wrong.

It is really amazing how many murders are committed following a filing for divorce. It can indeed be a fatal decision. There are many wives who "run" away or committ suicide immediately following a separation.

I read a book called "Erased women, murdered wives" or something like that, that deals precisely with this kind of murder. It was pretty sobering.

I've been away since Friday and I'm so glad I came back to verdict watch!! I hope we have one today but I'm thinking more likely tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone for comments and recaps on yesterday's closings. Are they available on youtube?

I don't care why she filed for divorce...it could have been for leaving the toilet seat up for all I care. She wanted to divorce and she had the right to leave the marriage and go on with her life. I don't even care if she was cheating.

Agreed and I just cannot understand it. Who in their right mind thinks it's a better decision to KILL a person rather than divorce?? Who decides that is a good idea?

Yeah, prolly shoulda chosen another option, moron.

WORD

I have on HLN and the CNN reporter I think his name is Ted Rowland that is camped out in front of the court house. Anyway he said there will be a long buzzer when a verdict is reached.

Lwop is hard 50 in KS which means BS would get out at age 85. The kids are with Vashitis family.

I hope this jury is not out to long or I will be worried.

ITA, in fact, if he thought that she was cheating that just enhances his motive, IMO

I won't be around tomorrow. I sure hope we get a verdict today! I have nothing but contempt for this man and his cavalier attitude towards the woman he claimed to have loved.

I must admit that I thought that the jury would come in this morning, finish the paperwork and announce a verdict by now.

I know, it seems soooo open-and-shut to me. Hopefully they're just making sure they cross all the Ts and dot all the Is.
