I feel like the second she opens her mouth, you would know that she was 13, no matter what she looked like. Luckily for her, she has that "damsel in distress" look so there will be plenty of sympathy.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I don't think she looks 13 at all. Her SM pictures show a girl that looks much older, imo, as do her mannerism and the way she carries herself. Not exactly a refined young lady, but she has the confidence of an older teenage girl. This girl will be lucky if she spend the rest of her childhood in juvie. She's far too happy in those surveillance photos to pretend to be a victim when this is over.

It's SO easy to cake on the make-up, do your hair and strike a pose and look so much older (or, not at all what you really look like in person) on social media. I see some of the pics of my daughter's friends online and for the most part, almost none of them actually look like that in real life, on a regular basis. I agree though, there is no way she's going to get to play the victim card, if she even makes it through this insane adventure she's on.

Can we change the title of this thread? This is not a normal missing persons case.

This is a young girl on a crime spree with her adult boyfriend.

OMG!!!! the STUPIDITY of some people, I can't even believe this guy is the sheriff of the county they are missing.

FFS they ARE criminals............

BBM: "We are a local, tight-knit community here, we just want them home ... other agencies see them as criminals stealing cars. They would be treated differently than they would be in our county."

I'm not defending the boyfriend but I'm curious as to when he turned 18. Was it during their 3 month relationship or before they started seeing eachother?

I don't understand what these two are trying to accomplish other than ruining their lives.

They need to update the photo of Dalton, The photo that the media keeps on showing and the pictures of him at the walmart do not look like the same person.

This could get ugly really fast.

I feel sorry for the people they encounter if they decide to hitchhike.

ok, someone else talk........... i'm done for a while.

I am sure the Sheriff is doing his best to get those "two crazy kids" home safely. Lull them into a false sense of security. They are dangerous with no impulse control.

I have a message to MSM: QUIT glamorizing these two with monikers such as Bonnie and Clyde. STOP reporting about them. They are getting off on their game-playing, except these two need to be locked up. With action, there is responsibility.

These aren't bad seeds as much as products of their (lack of) upbringing. Disgusting, really.

Good point, 'hawkeye! I think they grew up (or he did, she's just beginning) in the same town -- if he had asked her about high school teachers she may have had that he also had, t'would be a problem. A 10--20 minute "getting to know you" type conversation would bring it all down for her in a hurry. No way he didn't know. And why would he care anyway? She's over there drooling, STS, at him, so he can do or say just about anything, IMO. She has found in him something she has wanted & never before had, IMO. When (not if) they are captured -- if they are captured alive -- regardless of her charges and sentences, if they are both found guilty, his sentence will prolly be about ten miles long, and I think her sentences will be shorter unless murder on her part is included. Will she wait for him? I don't think theirs is the Romance of the Century... Oh, she has truly thrown her life away for quite a while, I would say. This in no way is meant to mitigate anything she has done or will do, BTW.

BBM: Speaking to the Lexington Herald-Ledger, Grayson County sheriff Norman Chaffins said the authorities’ primary concern is getting the teenagers home safely. They don’t believe the couple has malicious intentions, but they worry about what could happen.

SERIOUSLY????? no words...............
SABBM

*cue major sarcasm here* Sooo... apparently stealing vehicles ,guns, and etc., ; and breaking and entering aren't "malicious" anymore.
And here I was under the impression that theft and B&E could land you in jail for a while. Thanks Mr. Chaffins for clearing that up for the public. *rolls eyes*

"They are in strange territory," Chaffins said. "We are a local, tight-knit community here, we just want them home ... other agencies see them as criminals stealing cars. They would be treated differently than they would be in our county."

Emphasis mine

Maybe the reason Hayes has disciplinary issues is because he was "treated differently" in his own town ?
Correct me if I'm wrong---but I always though auto theft and B&E were serious offences ?

"They are becoming increasingly desperate and we just hope they have enough sense to do the right thing," he said. As far as "doing the right thing"; ahem. I wouldn't hold my breath.

What if some homeowner or cop is forced to shoot them in self-defense ? Have these teens given any thought to how much worse this could get ?? Smh. :gaah:

:moo:

I think these kids are living in the moment with no thought for tomorrow. I imagine each hour, each day of their "spree" only reinforces their confidence in each others' love and increases their determination to never be separated. I think their entire focus is on themselves and they haven't given a thought to how others have been, are and will be affected by their behavior. I hope this ends soon with no physical harm to anyone.

Okay who besides me IMMEDIATELY suspected this dynamic duo when the news of the mall shooting in Florida broke earlier today? :(

I just don't see it ending well for these two at all. Even IF it doesn't end in a hail of bullets, they've both already trashed their lives. AND FOR WHAT? Nothing...
