Madden was wearing ankle cuffs during the court appearance. There were videos of him being escorted out of the police station after he was arrested and I don't recall seeing any noticeable limp.

Gee I hope he didn't have an "accident"

I don't think the scariest part is that the daughter is sitting next to her mom and grandfather for an interview, but rather that she has lived with a father who kidnapped, raped, sodomized and murdered one of her 7-year-old friends.

Still, she should not have been in the room during the interview and certainly not in view of the camera.

This reminds me of Castro. Iirc, Gina Dejesus was friends with his daughter.

Does he usually have a limp? Saw it also on the video when he was leaving room after his jail house interview.

I wonder if there were witnesses who described to LE a 6 foot tall, bearded male wearing brown coat with a limp who they saw GD leaving area with?

I don't remember him limping during his perp walk.

How about how he didn't seem to show any reaction at all? All I saw was him appear to shake his head slightly towards the beginning but I didn't notice anything during that awful recitation of charges.

Ugh it really was. I heard the judge cracking early on but missed the beginning and the end; she could barely keep it together at the end. Most of these people probably know each other.

Marking my spot , and would imagine we are all hoping for harsh justice for the monster who stole little Gabriella's life.

Thoughts go out to her family..... from now on all they have is pictures, maybe some video, and memories of fun and 'goofy' times together.

All because of a depraved and evil person. The severity of this crime makes me think he has other offenses in his past -- maybe not murder (unless he has gotten away with it ?), but more than likely he's abused children in his past ?

She did; you can hear her while the judge is talking. Yes, the wife is in the blue UK sweatshirt.

Oh Lord....how unbearable. I couldn't help but cry. It is just gut wrenching. In just a few moments of time, a little girl's life was violently taken from her...and look how many people will never be the same.

I am surmising that Amy Doolin is most likely medicated to some extent. This is very common in tragedies such as this. God bless her and help her.
