I just read the depo.
I want to scream.
I want to scream.
I just read the depo.
I want to scream.
So...I'm looking through DeDe's depo for clues:

I noticed that she first gets sensitive about the questions and takes the fifth when she's asked whether Ms. Hockensmith paid her for the gardening work she did at Ms. Hockensmith's house to get ready for Ms. Hockensmith's event (p. 12-13). So that seems to be something that she sees as "dangerous territory" for her. It isn't the work itself that's sensitive, because she talks about that for quite a while after. What could be sensitive about whether she got paid for the work? She had already said she was paid for hostessing the event but not for gardening, so this was really just a throwaway follow-up question that shouldn't have set up any red flags. Also, before she took the fifth, she answered "I don't remember" and then changed her answer to take the 5th. So we can assume that she does, indeed, remember whether she got paid but DOES NOT want to say. Why not??
ETA: Oh, I see on p. 44 she says it would have been a violation to receive her unemployment benefits and not report income received.
Asked about her own whereabouts on June 4, Spicher says was at a 38-acre nursery preparing for a garden tour the following day. "I never left the property that day," she says.

Can we take some hints about what DY (and by extension LE) thinks happened by a few of the questions asked in DS's deposition? It sure seems like a few were designed to say "gotcha":
Questions about weightlifting and steroids, communication with TH, TH having a boyfriend, Michael Cook (sex with him and TH!), TH financial problems, KH & TH extramarital affairs, pregnancy drugs, drinking, marijuana, bisexuality.
The most interesting is a series focusing on how DS got to her job site on 6/4/10, and whether she owned a car. Very interesting.
I think we can sort of piece together what is believed to have happened or at least what caused this to happen based on the above lines of questioning.
Any guesses for how long it will be until a verdict is made?
Gosh, no way to tell. It could be more than a year before it ever even goes to trial. It could be lost on summary judgment beforehand. We will just have to wait and see.
I'm late to this re: the DedeS deposition, but I'm wondering if you can assert your 5th amendment privileges to guard against perjury as well. So could Dede legitimately plead the 5th to avoid perjuring her previous statements? Or future ones if it should come to a trial?
It enrages me to read the last batch of questions. All I can picture is a mother asking a woman who either has information or could be eliminated as someone who doesn't have information the most basic question: is my son alive? and dede declines to answer. So enraging.
Wait....it hasn't gone to trial yet? :waitasec: I thought that DS pleading the 5th happened during the trial. Also, what does "It could be lost on summary judgment beforehand" mean?
I have removed the Sanchez discussion. I am not seeing him named in any MSM or LE reports. Can anyone link him up for me? If so, I can reapprove the discussion.
I'm not familar with this case, so I will alert for the Kyron mods to review.
Thanks,
Salem
http://www.katu.com/news/local/104507829.htmlPeter Bunch said he's asked for Terri Horman calls to 9-1-1, back to Dec 26th [Note: the Decemeber request my have been mispoken]. But was denied by Sheriff's office saying it's part of "ongoing Investigation." He's tried to serve the landscaper, Rudy Sanchez with subpoena for deposition, but prosecutors wouldn't give him contact information because of the "ongoing investigation." Bunch said Terri called 911 when Sanchez showed up at her house wired "trying to talk to about something". He also said Rudy Sanchez is an AKA (alias).
Nope, this is still in pretrial mode, currently taking depositions. DDS plead the 5th during her deposition. The judge has not even decided if it's GOING to trial yet.
Gwen will have to explain the Summary Judgement comment!
Wanted to also ask Gwen about the calendar again. I hate to keep bugging you but thought I saw something on another website about a Dec 15th date for case review or something? I might have the day wrong but thought there was something about Dec. Also, anything look interesting on the docket that might be related to the divorce hearing (should be November right?)
...For the Young/Moulton civil case, the next thing is a hearing on the motion to compel testimony from Dede which is scheduled for 12/14/12...
