You were very smart and on the ball Linask. thank goodness!

I only looked at the first 4, but right away noticedethat they all looked like Glamour Shots. Glamour Shots weren't around yet I don't think, but the same idea.

Not smart enough not to have given him my home phone #, but enough not to have gotten into his car or be photographed by myself with him. I talked to my neighbor about it and she suggested my boyfriend 6'2" go along. I did think it was wierd he thought I could be a model since I'm short, I am busty though, seems thats what Bradford liked!

OMG! I just looked at the photo of the link on this page and the guy who approached me I remember as being a brunette with a mustache, and his age is in the right range for the guy who approached me! This is really creepy!

He was parked in front of the Junior High. Trolling???

Missing women cases linked to prisoner

Jul. 26, 2006 at 7:42AM
A Los Angeles Police detective said a man on death row for the killings of two women in the 1980s may be connected to at least 50 other missing women.
The detective said the missing women, believed to be from Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Culver City, Inglewood, and nearby California beach towns, were photographed by convicted killer Richard Bradford, KNX-AM Los Angeles reported Wednesday.
Bradford was convicted of first-degree murder in the slayings of Shari Miller and Tracey Campbell in 1987. Both women were strangled after Bradford took them to his home with promises of taking pictures to help their modeling careers, prosecutors said.
Bradford had asked jurors for the death sentence, saying, "think of how many you don't even know about," the radio station reported.

Remember the poster who was looking for her sister Tammy who disappeared from FL? Didn't she do some modeling or acting? I'll have to look through past threads. I think the poster's name was Suzzane. I remember her sister was quite beautiful and blond and several of these pictures reminded me of her.

Florida links. First thing I thought of after glancing at the pictures was Tammy. Going now to look at #8.

I think misterallgood's match looks very promising.
Me too! This is crazy.

Any ideas what years he was in Florida? There were a few cases attributed to Christopher Wilder who also used the photo shoot mo to lure in victims. Some bear resemblance, but don't want to waste my time if he wasn't even there then.

This case automatically made me think of Tammy Leppert... It is thought that he was once in the MI and FL areas.. this could really bring alot of closure to many families of missing women..

On a side note.. don't #16 and # 17 look IDENTICAL? (it feels awful referring to them as numbers)

DOes anyone remember a case about a girl who went missing.. her mother launched a huge search for her for many many years.. it was believed she was kidnapped by a motorcycle gang, the pagans or something?, i believe? I think, from my memory, I could be wrong.. that she resembles # 24.

eta: new question

"In the 1970s and '80s, Bradford, now 60, posed as a freelance photographer in the West Los Angeles area, taking photos of women he met at bars and "car race events," according to information on the department Web site, which showed photos of women striking poses." http://www.620ktar.com/?nid=45&sid=151503

"Wilder was a race car driver who frequented the Miami Grand Prix racetrack ... sometimes attempted to lure young female victims by offering non-existent "modeling sessions" http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/g/gonzales_rosario.html

Resembles #7

I think so too...
i also noticed in reference to Wilders possible victims that Mary Optiz (http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/o/opitz_mary.html) bears a strong resemblance to # 40 in the slideshow.. http://www.nbc4.tv/slideshow/news/9573778/detail.html?qs=;s=40;p=news;dm=ss;w=400

I wobnder if there is a possibility that these 2 "photographers knew each other? or hat they had some kind of link? Mary Opitz was kidnapped from a mall in Fort Myers along with a friend Mary hare. Mary Hare was eventually found murdered.. but Mary optiz was never located.

I went through the girls that Anthrobones submitted to the thread.. and I think I found some resemblences!

Wilma Vemaas- #49
Lynn Connes- #23
Cynthia Hernandez- #13, 22
LouEllen Burleigh- #40, 52
Sylvia Carlson- #10

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I really think that we're all on the right track! My girls may not be matches, but they are possibilities.

Wow strong resemblance between the photo of Rosario and the girl on the right in slide #53.. seems like its feasible that Bradford was followng the race car circuit just as was Wilder.. similar modus operandi and same tates in women.. seems like its feasible these 2 could have known each other or worked together in some capacity.. or maybe its just that they have attributed some of these crimes to the wrong guy all these years..

Seriously, I think there was a connection between the 2. Just too many similarities. Wilder is dead after a cross-country killing spree. I'm thinking Bradford just took over his mo. I also saw the resemblance in 40 to Opiz, but then figured we should try to find out when he was in Florida. I have a feeling after looking at so many of these, they are going to all start looking alike =P I'm pretty sure about the Rosario one though. Very unique look.

Very possible they have attributed them to wrong killer all these years. I'm shocked these pictures are just now being brought to light and considered. WTF??? They were just tossed in a file and forgot??

I sent this info to LACountyMurders@lasd.org?subject=case#: 006-00038-3100-444, Multiple Victim-Sexual Assault re the possible connection between Wilder/Bradford and Rosario. I also asked for a time frame when they believe he would have been in Florida. Not that I'm ever going to hear back.

There is another thread going on this at http://websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41404&page=1&pp=25

I think we should combine the 2 threads and keep this all together. I sent links to both threads in my email (in case they are interested in the matches we are coming up with).
