I dont know and im not a subscriber either, IS ANYONE IN HERE??????????? I would really like the details on his prio conviction. I have tryed searching for news articles etc, there has to be something, but I come up empty

I tried also but it wont let me either!
I did read a comment and the guy said you can read the poor girls name under the black magic marker so much for annonminity if i spelled it right lol

Also, I do believe this would be a capital murder since he is charged with aggravated kidnapping as well as 1st degree murder. Committing murder and another crime qualifies for capital murder in most states that have the death penalty.
-----------
Doesn't capital murder = federal crime?

I thought it had to be kidnapping across state lines coupled with murder.

Maybe it's different in LA.

I 100% believe this is key. I think it had GPS and I think that is #1 how they found the 'stolen' truck and also how they put his truck @ WB.

Hate to break it to everyone: GPS records are tracked. All they had to do was ask the GPS folks who was in that location at that particular date/time and boomshakalaka. Same with mapquest, google maps, etc. If you ever look up a certain location and use those services, it is trackable. Please understand this: ALMOST EVERYTHING YOU DO IS TRACKABLE. Flush your toilet. Go to a casino. Pump gas. Go to church -- it is ALL monitored and tracked. You have cable? Do you know the boxes on top of your tv? They can fit them with cameras so they also serve as video/security cameras. Very few things are private. Very few.

You can read that, and the address, and her mom's name!

I didn't find out anything new from the news conference, except a date or two, that had not already been posted on TD.

LE was extremely lucky to get the call from the guy whose SIL was dating the perp and to recover the GPS from the truck.

I don't know that I'd hope my child was still alive after this many days and after a RSO has been arrested for their disappearance.

As a mother, I'd know in my heart if my child left on their own accord. If I knew they did not, I'd hope their death was as quick and painless as possible.

I wouldn't want to think that my child was assaulted repeatedly by a monster for weeks. How could a person really ever recover from that? And I wouldn't want to think my child was viciously attacked and that was the last thing they knew before death.

my cousin is a welder offshore. they do make good money, especially if they don't have a wife and children. BSL was a bachelor, so he was able to spend his money on himself and his girlfriend. His house note couldn't have been too much, so I don't find it unreasonable for him to buy a fancy truck. He supposedly drove a Dodge Stealth before the truck at some time - from someone who was in teh military with him

Oh, I know. I was surprised she put the low end of the salary range at $2500. I don't know anyone who goes offshore and earns that little! And $6000.00 a month is VERY LOW for a top end value.

I would think he made in the 3500-4500 range in his position, and way more than that if he got bonuses.

I'm not surprised at all that he could afford a nice vehicle.

FWIW I just checked the sex offender registry, focusing on BSL's location, and found 3 other registered sex offenders within a one mile radius of his home.

No, capital murder just means it is punishable only by life in prison without the possibility of parole or death (in states with the death penalty).

In Texas, you commit a capital offense if you commit another crime during the commission of the murder. For instance, if a person robs a convenience store and kills the clerk, that is a capital murder. If you kidnap and murder someone, that is capital murder.

If you murder a public servant (i.e. policeman, member of the military, judge, etc.), that is also capital murder.

I believe the law in most states is the same.

I'm afraid I'm going to get roasted for this, but he sounds like a normal guy (obviously, i know that he's not) and he's attractive and had a good job etc. Why in the world would he destroy his own life via destroying a sweet innocent young woman's life? My point is that he had a life too, why did he DO this??!!!

My sister in law is a criminal psychologist with PHD and she says that many of them don't want to be rehabilitated. She worked with prisoners that were pedophiles. She said that as their sentencing came to an end, many would admit that they would most likely do it again, but they still set them free??!!

OH dang!!!!!!!!!!
He also told her that if she told anyone he would come back and burn the house down with her and her family in it
Sounds to me that the rumor of him burning down a house when he was younger could be true. He clearly graduated from rape to killing to hush his victim. Also how bold to enter the house. Even if he did know this girl, it shows his desires were strong. Now this was in 1999.

How can you afford TWO $50,000 trucks but cannot afford a lawyer?

that is what I was thinking..... how can you be soo stupid to do the things this man has done.. and what is really scary is that he is a normal looking guy that if I would have seen in public would have never thought he was a RSO and would probably find him very attractive.... very sad that our justice system allows monsters like these go free... OT.. but it is sad that in the last month we have 2 cases of murders that have perps identified as RSOs... makes me sick... and fearful for women.
