I lied! I'm not sleeping yet!

I'm so confused. Here they state it was the 27th: http://www.lafayettela.gov/Police/Press_Releases.asp?PR_Id=4677

But I shall assume we should go with whatever was said in Thursday's presser?

There are two pics of him on his mom's FB page. One of him alone (which was posted here) and the other of him with his mom.

I think there is more than two.... I stalked her page earlier, and there is a couple of pictures also of a man that I assumed was him, with a woman and two small children. Maybe its not him, but sure looks like him

Also i think there was one of him and his younger brother

I think it is important to distinguish between a psychopath and a sociopath. People have a tendency to use the terms interchangeably but they are very different.

i found it. oh my. he really doesn't look evil. so scary. i can usually see evil in people, but i don't see it in him. we know it's there, however.

I seem to recall it was the Sunday morning when everyone was made aware that the bike was found. But, it's possible they DID find it on Saturday and just didn't go public with it. Don't know if anyone else remembers but there was a poster who said something about the fishermen who found the bike called it in way earlier and LE didn't get out there to check it out right away and that evidence had possibly been compromised b/c of this? Does anyone else remember that?

eta:

Ok, yeah, so someone else does remember.

I remember hearing that they called the tipline, not the 911 dispatcher. So who knows how long the tipline had it before anyone actually heard it.

----

It was announced to the public Sunday afternoon the 27th, the same day as The Givers concert. That was when all the activity at WB was going on. I did not go to the concert that night after hearing that news.

That is when the police actually arrived at the scene and released the news to the public. The rumor says the bike was actually found and reported on Saturday. Police, unfortunately, delayed investigation of the report until Sunday. That is when they descended en masse at the WB exit.

My information is from a VERY credible source, but I cannot substantiate. So it is hearsay.

I can tell you without a doubt that he rented a car in Spring, TX on the morning of 5/31 at 9:51 am and returned it on the afternoon of 6/4. He rented the car through on insurance theft claim through his personal auto insurance. And yea, the police aware he did rent the car.

Wat your source

Apparantly, it was found the day before they searched & found it. Maybe we're being nitpicky over the day it was physically pulled out of the water. Which is all that's been made public.
Thanks for your patience with me.

I believe you. I'm just trying to get an accurate timeline :)

Go look at my earlier post. I copied and pasted texts sent to my phone from KATC about the bike. It was on May 27.

Everyone has been picked on at some time, didn't make killers out of them. This guys eyes creep me out. Hollow, blank, devoid of emotion.

That poor girl could have been put down a well hole and never be found. My guess is he set her on fire too somewhere. O my, I hope they have the evidence to break him down, find all the girls, because I doubt she was his first kill. Poor Mickey and her family. :twocents:

I'm pretty sure this is what happened.

Do you think bl's gf/fiancé will eventually make a statement? Just curious

Her BIL stated on TD that he was always giving her gifts, IMO LE needs to obtain those items and see if they belong to any of the other missing girls/women and/or Mickey.

The recovery of the bike as reported by the police to the MSM did occur on May 27. I believe KATC was the first to break it the news and it did occur during the first benefit concert.

But, the bike was actually discovered and reported to the police on Saturday, May 26.

I would go with LE's most recent statement. Here it says the fishermen found the bike "today", but honestly, I think the fishermen spotted it and called it in on the 26th, and LE went out and recovered it on the 27th.

Two fishermen found the bicycle of missing Louisiana student Michaela "Mickey" Shunick today, more than a week after the 22-year-old woman went missing after leaving a friend's home on her bike.

Police found the bike early this morning under a bridge at Whiskey Bay on the Atchafalaya River, after being tipped off by the fishermen.

When you get the timeline complete, it would be great if you'd post it in the media thread.
