Hey ya'll...
Just catching up...wondering some stuff about BSL's injuries & going to the hospital in NOLA. Are these rumors from the Cajunet (which has been extremely reliable, IMO) , a WS member w/ inside info, or MSM? And what exactly is the whole story with his injuries/going to NOLA? Did he file a police report that he had been attacked in NOLA? (BTW if so, this guy has a serious issue with filing false police reports)
Thanks. :)

msm, yes he was questioned by police at the er 11pm on 5-19. more details up thread

Sorry just encouraging y'all to put down the pitchforks and keep an open mind, that's all, until after the trial. And please nobody gather outside for the grand jury, because that's a little ignorant.

I understand your feelings on waiting to form an opinion, and the innocent until proven guilty standard our justice system uses as a standard... However, I'm not a juror, and won't be... I'm just a housewife from the Midwest who is not in le, not a tv pundit, not a politician, etc., therefore I don't have to use the word "allegedly", or be politically correct, or believe someone is innocent until someone tells me otherwise, and thank God for that because I think this guy is a punk who should've never been out free walking the streets in the 1st place, following what he did to his first victim. I personally, am sick of all the protection and consideration we give to the perps!!! IMO, he's guilty and I won't even put in writing what I think his consequences should be. I'm here for the victims, the future victims, and their families... I'm fed up, and have no desire to play nice or worry about what's fair to these non humans that could take the life or innocence of our precious children and not even bat an eyelash over it. The cry baby little momma's boys deserve nothing from me!!!
And this rant is by no means directed at you personally. Your post just popped up and hit a nerve when it comes to the way our justice system keeps letting these fools back out on the street, to time and time again get to our babies. We need to stop em!!!!!!

I keep thinking maybe the one thing he didn't lie about was the 3:00 pm stabbing. I don't think the wounds were self inflicted especially since he had a stab wound in the back. Maybe he had MS for a longer time that we realize and she was able to gain his "trust" allowing her the chance to grab the knife and that's when he ended her life. This would give him enough time to hide her and make the trip to New Orleans.

His clothes would have been bloody, imo..

BSL, would have to go home/somewhere to clean up & change clothes before being seen. Maybe whiskey bay or a nearby lake...but unless he had a change of clothes it would be futile..
Prolly went home first..

RE: up all night..
Was he tweeking/meth?

For me, as a Christian, I think it would be worse to be the mother of a murderer. If my child was a victim it would hurt immensely but I'd have to trust that they are in a better place. If my child were a murderer I'd have to live with the fact that I would never be with them in the after life.

Do you believe there is no divine forgiveness for murderers?

I'm guessing I did indeed make no sense?

I think you made plenty of sense. I think the thread is just moving so fast right now, a lot of times folks are reading and just silently agreeing/not agreeing, whatever, and reading on without posting a response.

I would love to get a look at that Jefferson Parish police report...did BSL say that he was stabbed while sitting in his truck? wouldn't the officers want to get fingerprints off of his door/window to compare to local data base? did they look at his truck that night?
Or, did BSL say that he got out of his truck at the gas station to ask for directions? no witnesses? gas station attendant didn't alert LE of a crime being committed at their store?
If he was in the vehicle, how did his back get stabbed? I could go on and on.

Also, how long had he been at the ER (confirmed that he was at Oschner Med Center, right?) before detectives arrived?

How many wounds? Did they photograph these?

I know that we don't have these answers, just realizing that there were so many footprints (across 2 states) that BSL left during the days following Mickey's abduction -- so many documented actions (ER visit with police report, insurance claim, car rental, vehicle purchase, court proceeding to remove RSO status) that will build a case of involvement and give LE the ability to trace his steps.

But the #24 could mean something else and that is why he said it....24 miles away....Hwy 24...Exit 24...Ave 24...something with 24. I'm not local so I don't know if there is anything like this but it's just to "random" of a number in my opinion. It means something, the question is what?

HWY 23 goes to Venice where he sometimes goes offshore from.

Yes it does. I personally do not believe in the death penalty. JMO. I believe only God has the right to take a person's life. I also believe that all offenders should be made to work for the common good of the community and pay back to society for all they have taken away from it..although one can never compensate for murder. :moo:

It was God who authorized the death penalty, Genesis 9:6. He has never withdrawn it.

I'm wondering what condition (bloody or not) his clothes were in when he appeared at the ER. If he had been assaulted as he claimed, his clothes should have been quite bloody. If he went home to change first, I wonder if it struck anyone in the ER strange that they weren't terribly bloody? Also, if he was stabbed in the back, were there holes in the shirt he showed up wearing?

But we don't know that they didn't....just that they didn't have enough to arrest him at that point. What are you gonna do, arrest the guy for a missing girl in Lafayette when he is in NOLA and has reported he was attacked? RSO or not, you still need more evidence - which they now apparently have.

Maybe they could have searched his truck, but he was not admitted...he had left the hospital. Who knows where he went from there. And then the truck was burnt. Remember the 3 trucks and 2 were cleared - I bet they were waiting to talk to him and he just never made himself available (another red flag).

I dunno, just thinking and going around in circles in my mind.

that's true. i keep thinking they can just arrest a person if they think they are suspicious. my husband has to keep reminding that they have to get warrants. :slap:

I'm guessing I did indeed make no sense?

Exactly what I first thought when I heard he said his wallet/dl was stolen... He had to say they were stolen so they wouldn't see he was a RSO... Didn't want the er staff to have any suspicions, and/or doubt his story... Guilty conscience...
JMO

Just happened to catch Fox 8's (nola) coverage of the latest update... sad how briefly they mentioned the whole Ochsner/BSL event and DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR TIPS?! Seriously, I would hope they'd be encouraging the people of Orleans and Jefferson Parishes to call in and report if they know or saw something while he was here.

initial triage report when being admitted to Er will have all of the pertinent info in it.

Did tears in his shirt line up with wounds? Did police take any evidence from this 'crime'?

Does anyone know if they are checking Hwy 190 or 975. If BSL took MS to his home with her bike, to do his dirty work, then it may make sense that he would take her and the bike thru Krotz Springs, down 190 to 975 where it intersects with I-10 at WB. If he put her somewhere on that path prior to dumping the bike, that gives him time to clean up his truck, make his way to Jefferson Parish to be treated for his wounds at 3pm.

One possibility is that he wasn't very seriously injured, but instead visited the hospital to establish an explanation for his injuries.

One thing about the very description of his alleged robber. That's a lot of detail there. Oftentimes a person who has been through a violent attack may have difficulty recalling minute details about their attacker -- the adrenaline signalling the fight-or-flight response. After the initial threat, the victim may recall additional details.

On the flip side, a person who is deliberately lying often over-embellishes, adding more details than necessary. <----- so says someone close to me who is a former LEO and insurance fraud investigator. I'm sure there are exceptions (someone who is a trained observer might natually notice/recall greater detail), but I thought it was worth noting.

It reminds of a movie that I cannot recall right now. The "victim" described a fake perp that they never thought police would find. It was like a red curly haired man with a big scar. His description does not fit anyone I have ever seen.

They say Lavergne was unsure where the gas station was, so both New Orleans Police and Jefferson Parish deputies interviewed him at the hospital.

Two different parishes should have reports. Both parishes would have been aware of his RSO status if he used his real name, with or without his drivers license, don't you think?

As well as the gas station video.
