I think a boat might have been used to enter into the body of Lake Borgne, but still close enough to shore that the water pushed the remains more westward than south into the open GOM.

Anyone familiar with the water along the Mississippi Sound knows that objects wash ashore. Think of the oil plumes and dead animals that lined the shore from LA to FL after the BP catastrophe. Considering the distinctive tattoos and piercings, dismemberment did little to disguise Jaren's identity, so I don't think that was the purpose. It's occurred to me that the remains were meant to be found and identified as a warning to others. OTOH, maybe the perp is just dumb.

I'm familiar with the waters and such in BSL & PC - please forgive me if this has been covered, I'm only about half way through the thread. The possibility of sharks consuming the body is almost zero. Yes, there are BITES, but never repeated attacks on one victims. Believe me, sharks would much rather eat other things. The waters in the area get really deep, especially in the intracoastal waterway that runs along the coast, and the barge shipping channel from Mobile to Houston.

It is logistically possible for her to have been disposed of in New Orleans East and wash up in PC, BSL, etc. Just speculating, but I think 2 things could have happened: the murderer works offshore on a workboat/oil rig, and dismembered to "drop off" on his way out to sea, thinking they would be washed further away or never seen again. 2) the murderer disposed of the body in NOLA east in an abandoned marsh area (much more likely, plenty of opportunity) and never expected her to be found for some time. BUT, then it rained so much, area got flooded and washed the remains out into the gulf. Who would go to that trouble to dismember then just let them float?

And I agree he's most likely a hunter/fisherman. We fish often, and some of the fish bones are really hard to cut through, and requirement automatic filet knives and such.

Wait. I thought a relative said she didn't have a HS diploma and that's why she couldn't get a job elsewhere? Now they say she graduated from Hammond in 2007.....which is it? So much misinformation out there!

TICKFAW---The tragic story of a murdered woman whose dismembered body washed ashore on the Gulf Coast this weekend began with a childhood here in the piney woods of Tangipahoa Parish.

The paragraph BBM bothers me!
If he couldnt contact her after he saw her getting into a cab why didnt he go to where she worked or call the club.

I believe i read they have her on video from a cam of her leaving the club.
Sooooo why didnt BF call the club? It seems she was there!

Before moving to New Orleans, Jaren Lockhart grew up in Tangipahoa Parish, attending midparish schools and graduating with the Class of 2007 at Hammond High.

Wait. I thought someone said she didn't have a HS diploma and that's why she couldn't get a job elsewhere?

I think someone was speculating she never finished HS
Many of these dancers are college girls....
Has nothing to do with an education or lack of its all about MONEY!
Some of these girls make over a grand or two a week.

Eileen- I agree. There is a lot that bothers me about this case. Some reports continue to say BF was last to see her on the 5th, others say she was seen leaving work in the morning of the 6th. There is no sense to what is being reported. We are only getting 1/4 of the story, I believe.

No you misread the earlier post someone said Maybe she did not have one.

Oh don't I know it. THAT is why they won't work at Walmart.

I agree!
But they say they have her on a camera leaving the club...

and for BF to say he couldnt contact her and if she was at work it just seems odd.....He should have been able to call the club to see if she was there.

Its not like he said she didnt come home from work! He was trying to contact her maybe she wasnt ans his calls...

Nice post. So are you thinking the body was disposed of in Bayou Sauvage and flushed out with the rain? We did have a good bit of rain Thursday, so it's possible. That still makes NOLA the location of the crime, which I, personally, believe to be true.

But then why was she living in a flea bag motel?

Oh don't I know it. THAT is why they won't work at Walmart.

Heck i wouldnt either, id do it in a new york minute! but im not that brave LOL
she was a very pretty girl its such a shame i cant even imagine anyone doing that to another person.

I agree!

maybe she wasn't answering his calls because she had plans after work. It was reported that she left in a group of people. Maybe she didnt want to argue with her bf , or lie to him, so she ignored his calls. JMO

I've seen headlines like "Pastor Murdered", "Real Estate Broker Suicide", "Downtown Business Woman Killed"...what's the difference?

Valid point. A person's occupation is often listed in news articles.

Mechanic robbed at gun point. Dentist involved in DUI.

LIVE UPDATE: I live in the area - police on the beach found something in front of White Harbor Road.

All of the marsh is so low and easily flooded. Even if he buried her, she could have eventually come up because there's so much water in the soil. That's why the NOLA cemeteries are above ground. Maybe he didn't know this?

Did he often call her at work, I wonder. If not, why that night?

I think u have to ask BF that one they usually controll the funds!
Maybe he controlled Her also!

My sister's BF sure did! He refused to work, put her on the street then shot up and snorted the profits. She ended up in a Mental Institution on suicide watch. I'd rather work at Walmart any day.
