:seeya:QuarterRatty and welcome to Websleuths!!

I keep teetering back and forth as to whether there was premeditation. After reading the interview with Sheila Nand it sure seems like those 2 were dead set on acquiring themselves a victim though. I guess robbery could have been a motive but I mean really, how much money could they have gotten off Sheila or Jaren? I get this sense they were after more than money, drugs or sex but perhaps I'm just over thinking their true intent.

I do agree with what you said about MAS being TS puppet. Did you know him by his real name or did he go by Alan as someone mentioned to us a couple of days ago? I guess him taking her last name was his attempt to keep LE from locating him since he was a wanted man even prior to Jaren's death.

ETA: We got a little glimpse of his cockiness I guess just by him refusing to give LE his real name when he damned well knew they would find out anyway.

Someone said these girls can make $2,000 a week...who knows how much she might have on her.

New information:

"A surveillance or security video shows murder victim Jaren Lockhart with Margaret Sanchez and Terry Speaks in Mississippi at a point in time after a video showed the three of them leaving a Bourbon Street strip club together, according to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office."

In MS!!! No wonder they want her over there. Dont forget guys that if she makes bail for the traffic charge she will be held on a material witness warrant (which can be upgraded too) as per an article upthread.

I'm now firmly grounded in the belief that the worst happened in Mississippi. That's a huge development.

So Jaren made it to Mississippi with them, and then she was killed, most likely in Mississippi, somewhere within proximity of where her remains were found.

I wonder if she knew she was riding toward her death as she was being driven out of NOLA. Heartbreaking.

She's not going anywhere... once she checks out of the Amite jail, she'll have a chauffeur waiting to transport her east, I would guess.

You guys are some fast. I can't keep up on my phone, as reading and typing on on a tiny screen is akin to eating soup with chopsticks.

Tell me about it! Ya'll are FAST! I'm not to great to begin with but also on a road trip and I keep losing coverage on my iPad. Ugh

Agreed. Hancock County has some info that the public doesn't know yet it seems, which is understandable because MAS and TS have not been interrogated in Mississippi yet. Keep in mind Mississippi has dealt the death penalty four times this year with another two scheduled this month, all for capital murders. This state doesn't beat around the bush.

I am not sure where Bay Oaks Dr is, I was near Old Town at St. Stan's, is it near there? There were many people in the area at that time, walkers and such. Workers were still on the beach when I was down there at at 5:30. I know where the Wash pier is and there is a lot of sand there! But was down the beach, as you said.

Bay oaks dr is roughly a half a mile from washington street pier going west. Too hard to go to the beach there because of all the pile of sand that they are spreading. It's basically a mess so no one has been going there lately except for walkers and bike riders. Hard to see the water line in most places because of the piles of sand. You have to drive down a little ways going west towards Waveland if you want to enjoy the beach without bulldozers all over the place.

I have friends that follow sites/post from their phones too ... don't know how y'all do it lol. It's a struggle for me to keep up using a computer with a 15-18" screen. Jaren's case is pretty high profile right now and lots of info coming out so the threads tend to move at lightening speed in those types of cases.

I don't think the original plan included MURDER. I think they wanted to lure a girl back to their home, and so they lied and offered $. They had no intent to pay her, but they were going to get her home and start the party, and then deal with that problem later. They probably hoped there was nothing she could do about it, if they did drugs with her and did not pay her, or told her there was a high paying party job, and there wasn't. What could she possibly do about that? So they were probably not concerned about that.

But Jaren was probably angry and was not going to accept their lies and deceit without doing anything. Maybe she wanted to call her boyfriend or someone for help and back up. And things went sideways. :rose:

eta: the reason I don't think murder was premeditated was because they were so obvious and so visible on the camera. They could have done it more secretly if they had this murder planned, imo.

Huge development, but what about the things that would have been needed to dismember the body?

The new video kinda raises as many questions as it answers.

I dont think these ppl did this crime!
Just my 2 cents!

They were bar hopping!
many ppl knew them.

I think if they were going to do a crime like this they would go somewhere where ppl dont know them or be on camera leaving with the victim.

I think its someone close to her!

Obviously we don't know for sure yet, but the fact that they are seen on video WITH JL IN MISSISSIPPI later that night (or later that morning depending on how you look at it) leads me to believe differently than you.

This is knowledge that I would not have had, were it not for the Magnotta case, but a rather large, sharp knife is all that is needed.

I am wondering if the "party" in Mississippi was held at someone's house who was expecting the three to arrive--if the crime scene may be at a house in Mississippi and if there's another person involved.

NEW ORLEANS - A surveillance or security video shows murder victim Jaren Lockhart with Margaret Sanchez and Terry Speaks in Mississippi at a point in time after a video showed the three of them leaving a Bourbon Street strip club together, according to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.

Word of the new video by the sheriff's office comes as the investigation into the murder of Lockhart, a New Orleans woman whose body parts were found on Mississippi beaches, continued Thursday with a court appearance by Sanchez, one of two people described as a suspect in the case.

The new video hasn't been released yet.

Sanchez, 28, again refused to sign extradition papers that would send her to Hancock County, Mississippi.

She and Speaks, 39, have been in custody

So there is a surveillance video showing the three somewhere in Mississippi, Hancock County and has yet to be released. Perhaps a gas station, hotel, casino, etc.?

Anything is possible!
And we dont know!
I just said what i thought!

I wonder why Jaren didn't call her boyfriend once it became obvious that she was leaving the city and might be gone awhile... the big draw on the MS gulf coast is casino alley along 90. People fly in from all over the world to gamble there. But, if the three were at a casino, there'd definitely be video. Otherwise, I wonder if it was a stop at a convenience store or something of the like.

Wild.

Would a Mississippi local please post a list of Bay St. Louis/Hancock County local news websites? Thanks in advance.
