What would one do if someone else approached though when they were in the act/middle of dismembering a body?

I wonder that too. Maybe they just got lucky when nobody approached them. Maybe it was late enough and secluded enough and they were far enough away from shore with an approximate 9 mile visibility range to the beach and parking area and any approaching vehicles. Who knows?

I just don't think you can rule out things in this irrational crime by using how a rationally thinking person would behave while committing this crime as criteria. JMHO of course.

ETA: Also, people that are looking for flounder at night keep their distances from one another--one group is usually not going to approach another group, they usually spread out. A bunch of people stomping around in the water in close proximity kinda defeats the purpose of fishing at night like that.

Well, I'm going climb in bed with my hubby my baby girl is kicking me....I want to leave saying this I really hope for the safety of everyone on the gulf coast that the people responsible for this crime are sitting in jail right now bc if not it is a little freaky knowing that a sickko is still out there doing only god knows what...I will be back first thing in the morning to read up on this case! Maybe they showed her the $700 or whatever the amount they supposedly offered the other girl...that would pay a lot of bills and we know she was short on money, since the room had to be given up very shortly after she was taken. We just don't know what they told her, showed her, or offered her. JMO

Tuesday June 5-
8pm - This is the last time that Jaren's boyfriend sees her. She leaves the Capri Motel in 2400 block of Tulane Ave in a cab which delivers her to her place of employment, Temptation's in the 300 block of Bourbon Street.

-According to HCSO(Harrison Co. Sheriffs Office, MS) , Grannan states that they know she made it to work and was there throughout the remaining late night hours of Tuesday(6/5) and into the early morning hours of Wednesday(6/6) . Grannan states they know the exact time that Jaren left her place of employment early morning hours of Wednesday(6/6) and that Temptations video surveillance also shows Jaren leaving the club with an unidentified man and woman. According to Grannan Jaren left with people "who are not known to everyone".

Tuesday June 5 late night/Wednesday June 6 early morning hours-

Before Speaks/Sanchez entered Temptations at 1:47am Wednesday June 6, they were next door at the club Stilettos with seeming the same agenda on their mind.. that agenda according to MAS, herself was to bring home one of the girls from the club as a "treat" for her significant other, Speaks. Sheila Nand was heavily pursued by MAS that night while working her shift at Stilettos..she says MAS appeared to be hungry and desperate to have Nand agree to accompany the couple home for a private party. MAS told Nand that she reminded her of a girl that they had taken home with them before.. Nand declined but MAS continued to pursue even at one point offering a completely different reason for Nand to leave the club with them and going to work an unexplained event across town and that they would pay Nand $700 .. Nand declined and says she was unsure of what it was exactly that these two were up to.. when Nand declined the final time when MAS was waiting outside of Nands dressing room, she says at that point MAS returned to Speaks and the two left out of the Stilettos club..

1:47am<technically June 6>-
the couple then entered into Temptations club next door(as seen on surveillance footage) ..it was now 1:47am and the couple stayed in Temptations for only 17 minutes

Between 1:47am-2:05am-
Jaren is overheard asking to leave early from her shift that was due to end at 3:00am, so that she could go and make some extra cash(according to Detective Grannan they are not certain what job was offered to Jaren to make the extra cash in those early morning hours)

2:05am-
On surveillance video Jaren Lockhart is seen leaving the club with Speaks/Sanchez. The 3 walked 3blocks and then were seen rounding the corner of the 3rd block believed to be en route to MAS car which she is known to park off of the 100-200 block of Bourbon Street. . rounding the corner the 3 of them are seen for the last time on available business video surveillance footage a little before 2:30am of that early morning of Wednesday June 6. Jaren Lockhart is never seen again.

**We now know of 2 females that were approached and propositioned by Sanchez/Speaks that very same night, Tuesday June 5/June 6 early morning hours that Jaren was last seen leaving the club with Speaks/Sanchez

-According to LE it is not only Jaren that is not seen after the video shows the 3 turning the corner off of Bourbon Street at 2:30am Wednesday June 6, but also Speaks and Sanchez were unable to be located. After LE released the footage clearly showing it was Speaks/Sanchez that left the club with Jaren they stated that the couple was well aware that LE were looking to speak with them and that for whatever reason they were choosing not to do so.. less than 24hours after the surveillance footage was publicly released NOPD along with US Marshal's arrested the two and took them into custody where they remain.

Wednesday June 6-

When Jaren's boyfriend grew increasingly concerned due to the fact that he could not establish contact with her.. its at that time that he went to NOPD and an official Missing Person's Report was filed for Jaren Lockhart.

Thursday June 7-
6:00pm-
Cleaning crews dredging along the beach in Bay St. Louis, MS found a woman's torso. Coroner, Faulk stated the torso was from age 15-22yoa female, it had 3 piercings(2 chest, 1 navel) and that especially the navel piercing was of importance due to it being distinct. It was a long chain, with a long triangle shape with rhinestones on the bottom of it. Faulk stated that their was one stab wound to the chest of the torso.

According to HCSO(Harrison Co. Sheriffs Office, MS) Grannan says that by Friday they had joined forces with NOPD and together investigators spent all of Friday and that night interviewing "witnesses" as well as those close to Jaren. In fact it was at this early point that investigators knew the exact time Jaren was last seen leaving her job.. as well as investigators had already viewed Temptations video surveillance and seen that Jaren left the club accompanied by a man and a woman. Grannan said that these 2 individuals seen leaving with Jaren were "not known to everyone".

Saturday June 9-
6:00am-calf washed ashore on the Beach in Pass Christian in front of Emerald Avenue

7:30am- thigh was found in front of Holiday Drive in Pass Christian

Just shy of 8am- head was found on the beach by Picture Point in Long Beach.

11:00am- calf was located floating in the water in the harbor at Pass Christian.

Harrison Co. and Hancock Co. Sheriff Office's mobilized a search which recovered the head and pieces of limbs..this further verifying the remains to be those of 22 year old, Jaren Lockhart of New Orleans, LA due to the limbs and head matching up with the torso and identifying the known tattoos and piercings of Jaren.
They are going to continue with the DNA matching process, but are already in the phase of identifying those responsible for Jaren's murder.

I have been thinking maybe she was dismembered in the horrid manner in which she was to transport her body in bags or luggage...I know when I danced in N.O about three years ago it was not uncommon to see girl pulling luggage suitcases....I also thought the hair looked like it had been dyed with kool aid...not by Jaren. I have been proposition many nights when I worked to go home with couples for sex, or by men who believe me did have the money to pay me also for parties such as bachelor parties etc....I personally having two boys and a boyfriend at home never thought twice about going home with anyone even if they looked fit to be able to pay me. I once had a nice very well dressed man who rented a V.I.P. room for an hr with a bottle of champagne offer me $3000 just to hang out with him and show him around N.O. no sex involved just as a companion ....someone to show him around while he was in town....someone local to hang out with while he was in town who knew of things to do in the city.....I never would and I dont believe Jaren would being a good mom.....I truly believe she knew this guy and he earned her trust before and that is why I believe she went....He walked her to her car many times....If he approached her and said he knew of some girl doing a bachelor party for say an hr. and he would take her and he would be her security she trusted him..........and although I never would have went......If this were the case that were presented to me I would have never had any reason to not trust him and I could have just as easily ended up like Jaren...I think she was under the impression there was a party....maybe these two or TS drugged her or she and MAS had an argument....maybe they were supposed to bring her home and when poor Jaren realized something was not right she was either stabbed or drugged and these two had their way with her and after mutilated her and stuffed her into some sort of bags or something bc I just dont see any other reason to cut her up the way they did it was not something I believe they planned out very well it was all in the heat of the moment. but then again IMBW I am just speculating here....I just wish the LE would let us know something the only real thing we got today was a pic of the scum bags car....which also apppeared to be scrubbed clean on the outside!!! These two surely know something to run die their hair etc etc is not just bc they were scared bc they were the last to be seen with her.....they ARE hiding something!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE LE give us something!! I'm local out of Pearl River and I'm so outraged......IDK if it even matters but the morning that LE pulled the duo over I got an intresting call it could have been mere coincidence......I havent danced in three years been married for two and I got a call and this male apparent by the voice he was african american asked if Id be intrested in doing a bachelor party and about the time i went to tell him I no longer dance and that im married and 7 months pregnant he said its a party in BSL and I froze and was like uh uh uh ......And he said I will let u think about it I know its early (it was 8:30 a.m.) which I also thought to be odd that paired with the fact this person had my number he said he got from one of the dancers that I had given a ride home one night after work....just odd odd to me...made me feel like some serial killer was out there trying to lure someone in my opinion but then again it could have been mere coincidence.....I'm just beside myself about it tho and I did report it....However now that these two have been made suspects I think it was mere coincidence ........but it does seem odd that I havent worked out there in so long yet I get this phone call just days after a Dancer comes up missing and a torso washed up in none other than BSL????? IDK maybe I'm just over worrying the whole coink-a-dink but it did scare me and now im following this case like a hawk!!!

Speaks claimed to be Leslie Allan Rice, a man who is from Speaks's hometown. Investigators have spoken to the real Rice who said he had no idea someone was using his name.

Not unless someone else gave it to them, but I don't think anyone would front that kind of money to TS, so he probably didn't have it to show. But, if TS and MAS were the only two involved looking for a girl to "party" with, why the big rush? One girl was approached while she was dancing onstage. Jaren asked to leave work early. Hurry, hurry, hurry. Why? For locals who work in the Quarter "the real party" starts after the bars close, or slow down, and not too long before the sun rises. Two o'clock is not that late. Having another drink and hanging out for twenty minutes until Jaren finished would not have been a big deal for TS and MAS, imho. Just another reason I believe a third party was involved whom we haven't heard about yet. :moo:

As much as I didn't want to say this, I'm going to... I was a dancer for over 10 years. The majority of strippers do not blow all the money they make. They pay for college, they support their children, they help their families. Not saying that there are none that spend money on drugs, there certainly are. Drugs and alcohol are sometimes necessary to be able to do what they do. Anyway... the vast majority of strippers I have known (& that's a lot of them) did not blow their money. I wonder if the BF didn't have money to stay in the room because JL had all the money with her. It's a possibility.

The next thing is that some people have implied that dancing and hooking go hand in hand. Absolutely untrue! The clubs I am familiar with would fire any girl immediately if it was discovered she was prostituting. Dancers are not prostitutes. They are dancers. Again, I'm sure there are some clubs that look the other way when it happens, but I can assure you, that is not the norm. IMO, prostitution is a long way from dancing.

Lastly, I cannot get with the theory that there was a big wig somewhere waiting for a girl. I don't see anyone with money and power dealing with these two for any reason. If the man has money, why would he need a stripper pulled from a bar in NO? All he'd have to do is pick up a phone and call any number of companies that send girls to dance for you privately. If he wanted sex, call an escort service. That's far easier & cuts out the middle man. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
The other problem I have with it is that if MAS and TS had a legitimate private party for JL to go to, then why lie to the other girl(s)? Look at them... I would think inviting a girl to go do a private party for $700.00 would be more likely to be accepted than going to go have sex with those two! I think they were just trying to get someone, anyone, to leave with them. I don't know why... what they wanted from her, but they just wanted a girl. I don't think there was anyone else involved. Yes, I have wondered the same thing. The comments on her RIP page don't reference him,either. Jaren's BIL, Benny (bless his heart) has been writing about her. Same with Lance, and we saw her parents interviewed, but nothing at all about the BF, including his name. Jaren's daughter goes by her last name.
