That is exactly what I wanted to do when DTL was on the loose, wear my gun on a holster for all to see. I wanted to be a heat carrying home health nurse, but the company wouldn't allow it. So, until I could get pepper spray, which was sold out for a few weeks, I carried a large can of Aqua Net hair spray (ever get that in your eyes?)!

Sadly, mickey's mace didn't get her out of this scary situation. How effective is mace, really? Can we just assume she didnt get the opportunity to use it, or did the perp just barrel through after being sprayed?

Is it 100% certainty that the person on the bike in the video stills is MS? I know her sister said so, because of the blonde hair and lights on the bike. Are there no other blonde haired persons that ride a bike with lights on it and travel the same street/s that captured the video of this individual. I am beginning to question whether MS is really the person in that video!

What I can't figure out is why was FBI in Lafayette and on the case almost immediately. A kidnapping would be the most likely explanation but at that point how could they assume it was an kidnapping -- enough to justify involving FBI? That's why I believe they know more than ...well, bupkis.

Actually, the FBI is always in Lafayette. They have an office on Versailles.

You never know if that little can of mace is gonna work because there is no way to test it!

I, for one, cannot make heads or tails of her outfit. Charlie may have wanted to recognize Mickey because of the urgency of the situation, in her mind she wanted to believe that was Mickey, to her it had to be Mickey! Just considering others comments about things they 'think' they see in the video stills.

Also, I can't see her face, or skin color. I do see a light area at the head and that could be blonde hair, but it could also be a light colored scarf. I can't see what color the bike is or what type. I am not convinced that was Mickey in the video stills. I know that Mickey's bike was found at WB, but that also doesn't confirm that it is Mickey in the video still.

I've tested pepper spray (lightly) on myself just to make sure it works. Not saying to do that, but that's what I did.

Also, I always buy a couple canisters of the same thing. You can use one for exclusive testing to get an idea of: How far it shoots, how wide it shoots, and how many seconds it shoots.

The second canister at least test it for a short spurt to make sure it works. That will be the one you definitely carry on you.

ETA: And always replace before expiration date.

Nothing on KLFY either. So not surprised, but extremely frustrated. He had better not use Mickey's name again (as he did in his "letter") to tug at the heartstrings of this community for his betterment. She's not a pawn.

That is a possibility that MS didn't test hers and it didn't work when she needed it. During DTL I carried mace and didn't know I was supposed to test it until months later. When I tested it, it didn't even work.
