I kind of wondered about that myself. By reading the statement, it makes me think that someone did actually knock on the door, and as calm as can be presumably, she walked out the door?? According to what we've also read, and I'm sure that Websleuther extraordinaire Nolita will confirm, "Look around, theres nowhere to go...." So it's a desolate area, so that would tell me that the person or persons that knocked on the door allegedly, may be known by the family. Am I way off on that?
Yes ma'am, you are correct. Our community is small - everyone knows everyone. So I would strongly believe she would open the door to a familiar face. In St. James there is just a sense of safety...I mean we don't lock our door to my house - ever. So right there tells you how safe we presume our community to be. There are very many desolate parts in St. James. I'm sure you can google map a road it's called "3127" which I believe they are searching there. It's VERY creepy & literally has nothing for miles. No houses, no business if your low on gas then you better pray you make it to the gas station (as I had to back when I wen to high school) there's no lights. Nothing. And then there's a road called "Bayou Chever Rd." that is even creepier - it's basically swamps on both sides the road. Of course there is cane field everywhere & we are surrounded by water. So if she ran away, no she wouldn't have anywheres to go. I don't believe she ran away. I just can't believe something like this would happen here. I had a false sense of security - I hope you all can kind of understand the picture I'm trying to present...I'm not the best with words, obviously lol.
