I wonder where Mr. Wayne Millard was when Laura was killed?

Wouldn’t be shocked if he was home. I’ve read ABro’s book roughly a dozen times and it sounds like he left his ‘kid’ to his own devices. He was also a drinker and I know plenty of those that could sleep through an earthquake after they’ve tied one on.

I’m not sure how it works, but if that’s in play, I’m sure that’s what they’ll go after.

I am skeptical, though. There will be no mention of TB in this trial, so I don’t know if that would be something to take into account like it was in the Garland trial earlier this year.

It appears the crown has a slam dunk here, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We’ve seen 3 witnesses and 2 pieces of evidence have been made exhibits. Nothing’s been proven, yet.

TB won't be mentioned during the trial, but he will be mentioned at the sentencing stage when previous convictions are stated.

They said he was sick today, maybe the reality hit him of another murder 1 conviction and made his sick.

Tbh, DM was often sick at the TB trial as well, and it seems like perhaps he is a real whiner. jmo.

I find CN fascinating. On the one hand she's this super studious, super ambitious student on a path to med school....and on the other hand she's smoking pot and giving DM road head, with a wanna-be art house instagram page somewhere in between. I know that everyone has multiple sides to their personality--I know I do. But there is something about her that makes zero sense.

She is smart but I wouldn't say "studious" or "ambitious". She stumbled through a relatively easy course of study at a University that is pretty easy to get into. We have no idea what her final marks were. She is not attending a top med school, or any med school in this country. The only ambition she likely had was to be the wife of a millionaire and blow off her studies for a life of travel and leisure. She is probably still trying to accomplish that.

As for the IG "artsy" stuff? She loves the attention and fancies herself as an artiste. Some of those pics were ripped off and she's had plenty of time on her hands (with a note from her parents for a while) to be moving about looking for more photo ops to post up.

IOW, she's just average, not exceptional in any way. She uses her sexuality to get what she wants. Interesting that her number one "boyfriend" is now setting himself up to slam her "friend" LB for doing the same thing. In fact, IMO, CN likely wanted her "eliminated" for doing it.

With the notoriety DM and MS got in Hamilton, I think that&#8217;s the last place anyone associated with them would go for work or school.

They're not on the same side though. True, both are trying to raise doubt in the crown's case. But Dungey just needs to show distance between MS and the crime. He'll likely do that by trying to shift likely fault onto DM.

Whereas DM's strategy is probably to suggest that she committed suicide, someone killed her because she was an escort, highlight that her friends/family didn't know her as well as they thought they did in order to make his escort theory hold more water. And, if all else fails argue MS did it because MS had the iPad

Yes, they're not on the same side but for some of these witnesses they are on the same page. Raise doubt that LB was ever near 5 Maplegate at the time of her likely demise.

Is it possible Laura s body was in the tarp? I did not know CN was in the picture when Laura went missing, all of them are just really bad people and CN people said is in another country to study and become a dr. god have mercy.

I think it's very likely that Laura's body was in the blue tarp, or rug as another person has described it. Especially since our poster who was at the trial today seems to think the picture was possibly taken at the farm.

Ugh it is tough to read that the sewar scum bag is allowed to question the father of the gf that he murdered!!!!! I feel for LBs father and the rest of her family who have to re live all of this.

Not surprised that DM is representing himself. I feel the crown has enough evidence to nail DM for this murder. I remember reading that DM would not qualify for legal aid.....so I guess this is DMs way of not wasting what is left of his empire.

I'm sure it's pretty tied up pretty good in a mess that only many years worth of investigation by lawyers and accountants are going to be able to finally sort out.

And if he's convicted of the murder of his father, a good portion of it supposedly will not be his any longer. Just another mess to figure out.
