The jury has arrived, Justice Michael Code apologizes for the delay.

He explains the next witness is a substantial one, and his testimony is lengthy and complex.

A picture is shown of the blog of his British passport too - he is dual citizen.

Crown Ken Lockhart calls Det. Sgt. Jim Falconer, a retired OPP officer, with 30 years of service. He was a forensics analyst in the tech crime unit.

    ov 7 2017 3:16 PM
Crown Ken Lockhart takes Det. Sgt. Falconer through his resume, what units he's worked with and courses he's taken.

He also murdered people.

Ugh - it's just the way he portrays himself, or has been portrayed, as this wealthy aviation heir. Pretty bizarre and horrifying to see these photos of his lair. Ugh

This is a flipping long statement of facts :waiting:
Never mind on to the resume now

Nov 7 2017 3:28 PM
Lockhart now begins the testimony in chief.

There is a large bound document in front of Det. Sgt. Falconer, a hard copy of his powerpoint slide he'll present to the jury.

Nov 7 2017 3:33 PM
Each of the jury members gets a copy - it's a huge stack of papers, 350 pages.

Crown Lockhart says he'll likely be asking questions of Falconer for at least a day.

man I want to get my hands on that book!

"The quantity of data we attained was large in volume," Falconer explains.

He received all of the exhibits on July 8, 2013.

On several large screens, we see the first slide of his presentation. It explains "an original exhibit is never directly examined. This can modify date and time settings, alter or overwrite the data contained on the exhibit. Forensic quality copies or 'images' of the original computer data are created using specialized forensic software and hardware."

Nov 7 2017 3:47 PM
We see photos of three computers seized from Millard's home. Falconer says "within the computers, there will be some data that we see." On the computers, were 5 iPhone back ups and 1 iPad back up.

Forensic analyst Falconer shows the jury this photo, taken from the main floor office of Millard's home. One of the computers he analyzed.

Falconer explains some of the very preliminary findings on the first computer - mainly it was registered as "Dellen-PC." There was no password required when logging onto the computer.
