Well that press conference was short and sweet. I guess Dungey has nothing to say and DM's lawyer...oh wait.

Bwahaha......that’s a great ending!!! I’m sure it was a beautiful smile that just pierced right through DMs chest. I’d say heart, but I don’t think DM has one of those!

Like the smile DM had as he murdered her beloved daughter.
What goes around comes around....you who are beneath contempt.
Respect to Linda Babcock.
You are strong and courageous and we are smiling right with you!

Just saw Clayton Babcock on TV and thanking so many people, including the press. What a wonderful, classy man.

A flashy Toronto-area defence lawyer who formerly represented convicted killer Dellen Millard is linked to the smuggling of clandestine letters Millard sent from jail to his girlfriend in an effort to sway witnesses at the Tim Bosma murder trial, according to court documents.

That lawyer, Deepak Paradkar, denies any involvement or knowledge of how letters between Millard, 32, and his then-girlfriend Christina Noudga were passed back and forth — even though he is directly named several times in the documents, and his name is written on envelopes in which the letters were found.

"I had no involvement in that," the lawyer told CBC News. He has not been charged with any crime, and several documents filed as part of the case state there is "no evidence" linking him to the alleged offence.

Court documents say this envelope containing a letter from Dellen Millard was found inside Christina Noudga's home. (Court exhibit)

A story I've been waiting to tell for almost two years: Lawyer linked to illegal smuggling of killer Dellen Millard's jailhouse letters http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/hamilton/bosma-babcock-millard-letters-1.4416125 …

Wow! It looks like Paradkar was working for the prosecution, spreading evidence as thick as peanut butter out there!

In closed sessions during the Bosma trial, then-Crown attorney Tony Leitch (who is now a judge) said that Noudga understood Paradkar would bring letters from Millard to his mother, Madeleine Burns, and Burns would pass them along to Noudga. Court documents filed by Smich's lawyers assert the same.

Though both parties described the same scenario, neither would commit to it as a direct accusation against Paradkar.

"The Crown is not asserting that Mr. Paradkar did this," Leitch said, adding that Noudga made around "100 contacts" with Paradkar.

Well everyone- until we meet again! I couldn't be happier with the Jury's decision. The Babcock family now have closure- Shawn Lerner has closure and he can be proud for the rest of his life knowing that goodness trumps evil. He never turned his back on his Laura. The Babcock family now has closure and they can lay Laura to rest. Shawn can move on with his life and I wish him much love, success and happiness in his journey forward.

Millard and Smich will only be able to dream about their freedoms as they settle in to Millhaven "forever". Welcome to the Bernardo/Williams club boys. I hope DM has many haunting dreams about what his life could have been like. I hope MS enjoys writing jail house raps.

Merry Christmas my fellow sleuthers and mod's! Christmas came early for all of us!!! :) :) :) See you in 2018 in the WM Forum! :)

I sincerely hope I can find a recorded version of it somewhere tomorrow, no matter how short it was! I wasn’t able to live stream. From tweets, what Clayton Babcock said broke my heart. Truer words were never spoken. How lovely to have such a supportive crown attorney. There’s still good in this world amongst all the tragedy.

I knew it!!!! I called it during TB trial that DMs lawyer smuggled the letters!!

Until recently, his Instagram username was "@cocaine_lawyer." That account has since been deleted.

A Toronto Sun story detailed some of the posts from his account, like a shot of his yellow Lamborghini with the comment: "Cocaine pays lol!!!" as well as photos of police-seized drugs and guns with the caption, "100 kilos of K 4 kilos of cocaine, 5 guns, Uzi, glock — NOT GUILTY!"

And a big thank you to Deepak and CN for the iron clad evidence ensuring M1 in both trials.

:fencefall:

Aren't you all glad I told you all patience is needed while waiting for the verdict? The jury took their time and did the right thing. So happy for everyone involved. :)

Deepak Paradkar is the same lawyer that is known as the cocaine lawyer (or something similar)? He has (had, think it might have gone poof) an IG account that was flashy and IMO questionable for a lawyer. He seems the type that doesn't play by the rules and flaunts it. I always picture the flashy shoes when his name comes up. I believe he is representing the Yahoo hacker from Ancaster as well....
