Letters to Casey from Cindy and George

I noticed that in writing this letter, GA did not refute the allegations. Me, I would have said something like, "Why would you say something like this? Why tell such lies? You know this never happened!". But he didn't. He merely asked why she was destroying family members. Strange. JMO but perhaps he was more angry that she "told".

No, in my mind he's just missed off the first line which could have been 'You lying little b****!' its not true and she knows it.

She was not writing them, they mention it, please write even if it is one word, please let us know you got these, they even mailed her a self addressed stamp letter with one blank page and a stamp and begged her . She was not writing them at all. Or at least that is what we are led to believe reading this drivel. I just cannot take stock in any of it, zero.

So in light of the fact that KC wasn't writing them and wrote to her BFF in jail about how ticked off with her mother and her "blood related" family she was-what do you think the exchange at the 5/11/10 hearing was about? Isn't that where Cindy passed her a mother's day card or was that another time? Is KC still mad at mom and cried out of frushtration or is KC warming up to mom?

WFTV’s Kathi Belich also noted that “Casey broke down and cried during a break in the court hearing today after her mother appeared to try to communicate with her, possibly mimic a hug.”

Central Florida News 13’s Mark Perkins said Cindy Anthony attended the hearing, but George Anthony wasn’t there. “You could see Cindy a couple of times with her hand over her face, her head down, just kind of praying, as the judge was reading out his orders,” Perkins said. “We did see her as she came in. She mouthed the words ‘I love you’ to Casey Anthony as she was sitting with her defense attorneys.”

Thanks. I was over at the other thread about the letters and read about it. I will need Cliff notes on the As one dimensional life to keep my brain cells together on all of this. Thank Heavens for you and others who bring the past back to remind me.

....after checking dates....there's a 6 month gap - from 31 March (208) to 19 Sept (210) ... so is that the time-frame when letters we being passed by hand. On page 219, (date obscured) Cindy laments 'I guess you know now that Jose cannot give you or read you my letters anymore'.

I know every word they wrote was for public consumption and this was Cindy's way of hanging Baez out to dry by divulging this little gem, knowing the prosecutors were reading each and every letter.

I am laughing about the law school requirements, does being a six or seven time convicted felon hurt one's chances? Is that correct, he deferred adjudication on eight and convicted on six or seven and she indeed is a Felon now? Cindy is proud of Casey that she stood up to the prosecutors, refused their deal and let the judge decide as if Casey won some victory. The young lady was convicted of felonies. There is nothing to be proud of! She did not skate, those are on her record, forever and are generally frowned upon by employers, mother in laws and colleges. Perhaps not in Anthonyland where folks can live in a home for a year and never pay the mortgage, go on cruises and feign shock when the foreclosure letters arrive. We see where Casey gets it. Regardless of the number of felonies, that is the moral teaching she wants to put in the letter regarding the check fraud, stealing from her friend , wiping her out...she didn't want to instruct or correct her at all, her focus was ha ha on the prosecutors. In jail or not, I would write my daughter that she should be on her knees begging for forgiveness and reflective about the far reaching problems she caused for Amy who never did anything but try to be best friend and trust Casey with all she had. The poor child was working two jobs trying to make her way, and sleeping on friends couches, while Cindy's daughter was stringing her along that she would have a new home to move into very soon. The moral instruction coming from mom in the letter is literally zero. No wonder Casey has no compass, growing up Anthony she has never been held to task or taught right from wrong. It is painfully obvious.
When we were little girls we stole some little ten cent candy from the drug store, my mother hit the roof. She marched my sister and me right back up there and we were made to tell the manager what we did and pay for the candy. He gave us a very stern talk about jail and scared the daylights out of us. I am sure my mom was winking at him all the while encouraging that. It is a little thing, but it is an example. That crap was not going to fly in our home and we better not even think of it ever again. I do not think these day to day teaching opportunities were ever handled as normal parents would with Casey. Here we are at age 23, she is convicted of felonies and mom is focused on the nerve of the prosecutor. Frankly I am surprised Casey lasted this long without being jailed for something. Uncle Rick assessed the situation alright, and Grandma Shirley sure called it what it was. Casey hated Cindy more than she loved Caylee.

I believe that Casey being isolated by her lawyers will somehow be brought up on appeal if it is within the scope of ineffective counsel argument, they will say she was not able to think straight and participate in her own defense properly having as Cindy suggests "developed" psychological impairments based on the isolation. I don't think it will fly, but I can imagine this topic on the laundry list of what her prior lawyers did wrong.

Makes me wonder how on Earth this guy Mort can ethically be searching(?) for Caylee after she is dead and cremated. Wasn't there DNA evidence that showed it was in fact Caylee's body? This is sickening.

bbm
Yes.
Dr G, medical examiner, positively identified the remains found as belonging to Caylee Anthony and announced it in a presser.

The entire Anthony family has my head spinning. I am no closer to understanding them now than I was since day 1. What I can't for the life of me figure out is this-did mom and dad make KC the way she is or did KC make mom and dad the way they are!! What came first-the chickens or their rotten egg!!:waitasec:

I think a lot of folks here were right in their assessment that Casey herself was refusing to see them and wouldn't even look at them in court. And every time she did look at them in court, it was preceded by Andrea or Jose grabbing her and whispering to her to do it. And after reading George's letters, I think he has deliberately not been in court since The Letter was outed.

I'm not saying this to be mean or glib but in all seriousness, I have to really question CA's sanity. I mean to pursue a fantasy of a live Caylee and actually ask an investigator to follow up? I wonder if this will have an effect on her credibility as she testifies? I seriously do not in all seriousness understand how she is not institutionalized for a period of time. I think she could be dangerously delusional.

I can't help but wonder if CA's thoughts were really truthful in these letters, or if she was just taunting KC to jerk her chain (passive aggressive). I mean, just because she writes it to KC, doesn't necessarily mean she believes it. Could it be part of a game she's playing?

Her goal could be two-fold - knowing the letters are public info she wants to appear as never giving up hope and never giving up on KC, and at the same time, to taunt and emotionally/mentally torture KC in the process (retaliation). Sad to say, but it is a possibility - anything's possible. From everything that's been released in this case to date, it's apparent that mind games were/are a way of life in that household.

Along with the other instances that appear to be passive aggressive (many have mentioned earlier in this thread), she also makes a point to focus on KC's photos of her back that were released. Writing about how bad it looks and that she doesn't want it to turn into MRSA or staph, etc. I think she even sends KC a photo of her back. (I'll search for the page # in the PDF.)

If you hadn't seen or talked to your daughter in ages, would you use the time to write something like that that you know will make the average person (and especially a superficial person) feel badly about themselves and give them something else to worry about?

Would have been nice to see one normal instance of empathy from a mother to a daughter even under the circumstances. When compassion is shown, to me it's overshadowed by comments relating to how badly things are for CA.

Lastly, isn't it ironic that CA and GA are begging KC to write to them and let them visit, yet she is instead writing to fellow inmates? (http://www.clickorlando.com/download/2010/0406/23069328.pdf) Speaks volumes.

Perhaps it was just the "perfect storm" ... all the necessary factors came together and everyone played a part? Boggles the mind!

Sorry to ramble ... perhaps I should wake up before I post! LOL!

I have a OT question. I have tried all day to download these letters. I end up with stuff I don't understand. It looks like a different language! So, my question is, does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am sorry to go off topic, but I would like to read these letters and I can't get them. Thank you!

Some of the files are extremely large and take forever to download. They are PDF files, so of course, you need to have an Adobe Reader installed on your computer. Also, which browser are you using? I normally use Firefox, but for these large files, I use Internet Explorer which downloads very fast without disturbing my computer. The large files can take quite a long time to download, sometimes 15 minutes or more. You'll need patience. You might encounter gibberish while the file is downloading, so don't try to read or scroll too soon, let it download as much as possible before working with it.

Amazing...even after they have been wearing Caylee's ashes, gotten tatts in Caylee's honor, they still insist she is alive and well...Is this their only salvation? To believe their precious grandchild is alive and well somewhere in this huge universe in the custody of someone, anyone?? I think this is more than just denial, they are delusional, IMO....CA writes of getting the one responsible for taking our Caylee away...I think you've been writting her for over 2 years now, CA...please you need to come to terms with your hurt and heartache and see who truly is the responsible party! CA sends ICA photos of Caylee and signs her name to some...I wonder if this is a ploy to get her to have that guilty conscience ICA is missing..IMO

Is this why GA has been absent from court???

ICA has destroyed everyone she has come in contact with...IMO

She has some support, has lots of hate mail and most took GA up on his request at Caylee's memorial...they did write his darling daughter as his request..I wonder what ICA thinks of that???

They just suffer to get a glimpse of her. They long to hold her, kiss her...they constantly tell her how beautiful she is. My daughter is written way too much, almost to convice himself this is his daughter..IMO

I do hope ICA thinks long and hard for her own good. She can end this now, if she chooses..as Papa Joe states, you are the boss, you are in control..JMHO

Justice for Caylee

I've been reading the letters as time allows and wanted to throw in my two cents. Probably someone else said this already and if they did, forgive me for not having the time to read the whole thread and consider this an "ITA". :)

Not only would GA be upset that KC accused them of abuse, but now they can see she is not afraid to write letters to people she hardly knows. They begged her for nearly two years to write even a NOTE to them and she refused, yet she was writing long letters to others in the meantime.

Double slap in the face.

Quite honestly, I found GA's letters just a little bit creepy.

Creepy and TOTALLY desperate. Strange. I found the last one where he confronted Casey about the abuse allegations especially sad.

Cindy's only magnified what I already thought. Although I must say, I don't know if it was just the act of reading her handwriting or what, but I found her to be certifiably nutso, without a doubt. So passive-aggressive and still the control freak, but the whole 'Caylee is still alive and living in the Bronx' thing, left me more than a little bit

. I try to keep in mind that she may have written that knowing that the public would see it, but still....

The main thing I was left thinking after reading CA's letters was that she is going to be a total DISASTER on the witness stand. I think back to her civil depo where she tried to school the attorneys on the definition of 'relevance', recall the hearing where she raised her hand and stood up in JS's courtoom to chime in and now read where she doesn't understand how Ashton got away with his eloquent statement opining the details how Caylee was murdered....Oh my. She has so much to learn about law and courtroom decorum. It will be impossible to make enough progress to make much of a difference before May 2011.

Good for Lee that he did not indulge in this PR stunt of writing letters. Mallory's high hopes and romanticized image of a endearing brother sister relationship aside, Lee's absence in the courtroom, each and every time, without exception, is in my opinion, public ,overt and it says loud and clear...I am not with you, you are on your own sis. He knows Casey is responsible for Caylee's death. If you don't believe me, review Mark Furhman's account of his lengthy talks with Lee.IIRC He pretty much empties the bucket.

I understand that Florida has the Sunshine Laws - do the laws cover the publishing of letters written to inmates and would the average person know that if they write an inmate that their address could end up published in the media?

Just curious.

I don't live in Florida but do business there with several government agencies. On their forms there are notices mentioning Florida's open records policy, warning especially that e-mail addresses can be make public, so they advise using other means of correspondence (snail mail, telephone, fax, in person). In the case of criminal investigations and prosecutions, anything is game.

It's been said on air many times how anything to do with the prisoner can be made public, including correspondence, telephone calls, and visitations. I'm afraid many people didn't realize non-family members would also be scrutinized. Judging by the contents of many of these letters, I'm afraid some people weren't able to understand the consequences of sending mail to the jailhouse.

These letters make River Cruz seem like Mother Teresa.
God bless that couple that come to court with mom and pop.
That cannot be an easy friendship.

BBM - do you have a link to that?

The only truth the Anthony's have told was on the 911 calls.

I'm thinking one of the purposes of this discovery is that it shows that CA can appear to be delusional. That she is still trying to throw other people under the bus, and that she is "fighting" against the "conspiracy" the State is engaged in. The letters from CA with the backdrop of the 911 calls make the calls seem all the more like an excited utterance, and casts a light on CA's reasons for going on the air and downplaying them. JMO MOO IMO

BRILLIANT!! I agree, I think that Cindy is definitely using any contact to take chunks out of Casey while being 'Just a caring Mom' its full on passive aggression! Also agree with the 'perfect storm' scenario...what a psychological goldmine this lot turned out to be...who knew?

And the shirts she is sending to Casey to wear in court..its child abuse really. God knows what she's going to fit her out for trial in. Baez get Casey a stylist or something! Cindy cannot be trusted!

I can't work out where Cindy's madness ends and her outright nastiness begins.
