Oh, wow. What a loser!

My daughter loved her in all those Disney movies. Now she can see for real what happens when you make bad decisions like drinking in excess, using illegal drugs and driving on top of it all.

Mine too. :(

I am confused. Now which party girl was wearing the alcohol ankle bracelet again?! There are just so many of them at the moment.

I do not understand for the life of me why these wealthy, young women do NOT have drivers!! They NEED them desperately! Not ONE of these girls has an excuse to EVER drink and drive when they can well afford a limo or just a driver to haul their drunk @zzes around to party. Stupidity must run in their circle because the solution is so very simple. "Don't drive" is not a difficult concept especially when you can always afford not to!

EXACTLY! I am glad that they have to face up to their demons because they DID drive (and even more grateful they didn't hurt an innocent party), but geez, really?? Even I can afford to take a cab when I hit the town! If I ever get her kind of money, here are some of the other things I will never be charged with....CUI - Cleaning under the influence and IWI - Ironing while intoxicated.

Throw the book at her and toss away the darn key this time!! There is no excuse. She needs to be in jail for a stint. I hope it is much longer than Paris spent in the slammer, too...so they will shut up about that!

i thought she had some kind of monitoring device on??...how do they work??...maybe they don't:confused:

She did have some sort of monitoring advice on, but I'll bet they're not too tough to fool. They are supposed to scan your body sweat and detect alcohol if it's there and then send a report to the porbation officer.

I would suspect that the bracelt was only looking for alcohol..if she was doing any other types of drugs then it was likely not detected.

I hate that TMZ site. People post such hateful comments making fun of her face and the marks on it. Maybe she drinks because she is lonely, depressed and possibly insecure about herself.

She is definitely flirting with danger and death.
I hope she gets on the straight and narrow.
She can become a better person.

Ya know, you never hear anything bad about some stars. Like Christina Aguilera.
But some of these other stars just keep making the same mistakes :(

I think that from a young age, Lindsay's only sense of self-worth has come from the only love for her being communicated from her parents as being what she could *do* financially for them. I don't think she's ever been told she is loved for who she is, for being Lindsay, and for having worth as a human being, for simply being their daughter and not a meal ticket. Now she's on a continuous downward spiral b/c her failures are making her drink more, which are causing more failures, and her dad's words of love for her may be too late, although I hope not, and I pray he is sincere and that Lindsay would listen to him if he is. The mother is worthless and I think the further Lindsay is kept from her, the better. Dina Lohan may be even berating Lindsay behind the scenes for what she's done to her career, endangering Dina's meals and party tickets. When the PA quit, which I can't blame her for, it probably felt like just more abandonment to Lindsay.

I think if you pray, you should include this girl in your prayers. She needs them desperately.

The girl in my signature is my neice, she was killed by a drunk driver in May. The driver of the other car was killed also... It was not the first time he was drinking and driving. He had a record 4 DUI's, 2 driving under suspended licence, Any way I have absolutely NO sympathy for any one that takes the chance to drink and drive.

From what I've heard, the drive of the Escalade LL was chasing was being driven by the mother of LL's personal assistant. What that was all about, one can only imagine......

They just said on the radio that LL's assistant quit last night and had her mom come pick her up at LL's (I'm assuming - house).

What a freakin' mess. Sounds like she will definitely do some time with these new charges.

If her mother would grow up and start acting like her MOM and not her gal-pal, maybe Lindsay would have better morals and be able to make better choices.

Lynie...I like your idea about the horse ranch, but think she'd find a way to get high on horse manure:silenced:
This is the whole bottom line-Mom's can't be buddies to their kids when there are illegal things happening. A mom is not supposed to stand for any of that crap. Lindsey & her mom probably have the same drug supplier on speed dial and they like to PARTY together-Well that lifestyle is headed for the toilet real fast- or should I say jail cell or funeral home.

That's is so sad. I can't imagine why we are not stricter on drunk drivers. I have always contributed to MADD.

I wonder why she isn't still in rehab - I don't know much about rehab, and I don't mean to blame or be disrepectful of the professionals who work there to treat addicts. But can't they see that she is not yet well enough to get out of rehab, can't they tell she is likely to use again right away?

I have a SIL who went into treatment, and at first, it was expected to be a short term thing. Later, they advised her to stay another month or 2, that she was not ready to leave. They didn't say "okay, your 30 days are up. See you!" They recognized she needed further treatment, and that is what they recommended. This treatment saved her life.

Why the rush to get out of rehab? Why not stick with it until you are truly well?

imho

Places like "Promises" isn't a real rehab center... it's a spa for the wealthy who want to pretend to by "drying out" and "getting clean". If these people really wanted to get help for their addictions they'd go to a reputable rehab facility and not some spa that caters to their every whim.

Promises is actually considered pretty heavy duty by rehab standards.

Most people don't have the time, money or inclination to hang out in a treatment center for the years it can take to get a handle on addiction. All treatment tells people is - if you want to get better, here's what you have to do. Whether or not people choose to do it when they leave is another thing all together.

I am certain Lindsey, like every other graduating addict of rehab, was told what she needed to do once she was "out." Chances are, hanging out at parties and clubs (with or without the booze anklet) was NOT one of the suggestions made to her.

I'm of the opinion (and have been since she oput herself in treatment a second time) that Lindsey's not ready yet. And there's not a treatment counselour in the world who can make her ready.

Does anyone recall what finally worked for Robert Downey Jr.? He had a number of rehab failures before he seemingly got it right, and seems to be getting his career back on track. It would be nice if he reached out to LL and shared his own experiences, advised her on getting her addictions under control.

The only thing that ever works for any addict - he got sick and tired of being sick and tired - he hit a bottom and got into enough pain to want to do something differently. Every person's path with "too much" is unique.
