Question about the doc dumps. First of all... why are they coming out at all? Why are the records in this case being made public in big chunks? Are they being made public when they're released to defense as discovery? If so, how can prosecutors hold certain documents back (i.e. interviews with Annie, etc?) And how do we know beforehand that one is coming in a few days?

The sunshine laws as they are called in Florida allow for evidence released as discovery to be made available to the public. If evidence is still being investigated it can be withheld until such time the investigation into said evidence is completed. Why the defense has to motion for release all the time has me baffled, and why certain things like interviews show up upon motion from the defense. The FBI is not beholden to the Sunshine laws and if they are still putting together final reports, OCSO has to wait to then investigate before the discovery is released and I think part of that is the reason for holding up certain information.

I was just wondering if we have ever been informed exactly WHY Cindy's dad is in a nursing home. My train of thought is this, is he suffering from Alzheimers or dementia? Is he there for mental health reasons or physical health reasons? Not that a mental health defense would matter to me I think all people should be accountable for their actions....I just wondered if this might be an issue?

the defense gets it first. it is within a day or two of being received by the defense that it is released to the public. i think there are some who would argue that information is released simultaneously but i don't believe that.

ETA: The information seems to have originated from CA's brother, Rick, when he was posting on another forum. He was asked who the elderly gentlemen in the photo with Caylee was and replied that it was CA's father and that he had suffered a stroke in January, 2007.

i was under the impression that a defendant could not watch ANYTHING relating to the case against them. IIRC when LP found the bag in JBP, casey was watching tv, but was removed from the room and escorted back to her cell when the news broke on local tv.

in the last jail visit that was released casey talks about watching NG. how is it she was allowed to do that?? and if she is not, then could that lead to another investigation by the bar??

Has anyone heard that fingerprints of KC on the tape (evidence found with Caylee) etc...have already been released to Baez and will soon be made public? I was in my car a few minutes ago and listening to my XM radio and I am pretty sure that is what I heard.

Any idea about how the defense will prove KC's innocence?

If they plan to stick with the Zenaida kidnapping story, would they not have to produce a Zenaida that fits with the details that KC has provided? And which Zanny will they go with? The one with no children or the one with 2 children?

Or will they say that the real killer was the one-armed man who made her make up the Zanny story

Lets face it everything KC has said can be explained away on the non-existent one armed man.

The one armed man made me wrap Caylee up in a blanket and put duct tape and a sticker on her mouth. The one armed man threatened to kill Caylee if I called the Police. I partyed during this time to hide my pain and horror and to make everything look normal in order to save Caylees life. The one armed man made me put Caylee in the trunk, take garbage bags from my home ...


I wonder if they defense is going to throw out so many zany (pardon the pun) ideas, that the jury will become confused. I worry that the jury will experience the same craziness that comes when you try to make sense out of the spin of a woman with a personality disorder.
