And the skinnier she gets the more they look like the grim reaper's skeleton hands.

I posted before that I watch cartoons every night before I go to sleep after watching the trial coverage all day.

Her dead eyes and creepy hands...she scares the bejeezus out of me and just knowing the horror those hands wreaked, I can't stand to even look at them. I can barely stand to look at her - she's so disgusting.

And she's forever ruined one of my most beloved Christmas songs, "O Holy Night". I'll never be able to listen to it again without seeing her soulless eyes.

I'm not sure when she sang that but she sure has lost weight since. Her face was so round then I could hardly recognize her. It really wouldn't have fit with the persona she is trying to portray, IMO.

This is true. Everyone says he left to doors unlocked, and yet Jodi testifies that she KNEW the front door would be locked so that's why she went in around back.

Hummm??? So, Travis said he'd wait up for her, then he locks the door.
Very i n t e r e s t i n g!

She also knew his garage door code

Mmhmm....it started early.

Jodi testified that her father slapped her after an incident in which she was caught sneaking out and staying out all night. Upon her return her father questioned her about where she had been. She responded “I don’t know” whereupon he allegedly slapped her twice, knocking her to the ground. [Emphasis mine]
I believe in an earlier trial, that was called "mistruths", however, Arias just calls her lies, "I don't knows". What father would not be upset to catch their daughter breaking the rules, and then lying about breaking the rules?

IIRC, TA did not lock his house, there was a keypad on the garage door though. It is interesting though, that after all that time not being there, she apparently let herself in somehow cause she said she walked up behind TA and Naps and watched him on his computer.

And the dog just ignored her as if she wasn't there? That is hard to believe. Another fabrication by the defendant.

MOO

I agree, but I also wonder what he knew about something she had done. He was about to expose her if she refused to come clean on her own.

From the text it sounds as if it was something REALLY bad because he threatened to tell EVERYONE - her parents, their friends, their church admins, etc. To me, that text makes her look terrible and speaks to motive.

I must be missing something, though, because the DT are the ones that brought that text up and had the killer read it from the stand. #scratchingmyheadatthatone

That's one of the things I want to know most of all. What was the fight about? What happened? I wonder if we'll ever know

lol, that raw data statement blew up on him, eh? That raw data can get tricky, especially when you have to:

  • score it
  • lose access to it
  • re-do it
  • rescore it
  • pass it off as defendent's in a court of law
  • get caught in a lie
  • etc. cause JM isn't even done with this issue yet
Oh My, yes there is a very good reason to not give attorney's raw data, the problem is they can analyze it too well....:floorlaugh:

IIRC, he said he hadn't given any raw data to any attorneys, yes?

What if JM has evidence the DT did, in fact, get the raw data! :what:

I understand that and I would not want the jury to read them because even though they are made up BS, if that gets planted in their minds, who knows what could happen.

However, I wish Mr. M could bring up the fact that the defendant tried to submit "forged" evidence, WITHOUT letting them read them. (I know someone else said here that they weren't proved as forgeries, but I thought some sort of scientific analysis was performed on them. ???)

Nurmi filed a motion to admit the letters, but JM pointed out that since they weren't originals they didn't mean anything. JM then asked for the originals, and Nurmi withdrew his motion to admit.

The only "analysis" I've heard of is that Chris Hughes said that Nurmi said an expert had determined they were genuine.

JA's mom tried to sell them to the National Enquirer and they said they weren't interested, which is pretty telling in my view -- when the NE laughs them off, they must be pretty laughable.

IIRC, TA did not lock his house, there was a keypad on the garage door though. It is interesting though, that after all that time not being there, she apparently let herself in somehow cause she said she walked up behind TA and Naps and watched him on his computer.

That's right,, I forgot about the keypad.

I think the text he sent on the 26th (?) put her over the edge. He was on to her. He was done with her, for good this time, and she couldn't accept that. She had to get rid of him because she could no longer control him. She wanted to hurt him and be the one to take him out of this world because then she would forever have that connection with him, forever have control.

Don't forget he threatened to tell EVERYONE about her. That was on the 26th, and didn't her grandfather's gun disappear on the 28th?

Coincidence?

Nope! There is NO COINCIDENCE when it comes to MURDER!

just sayin'

Do you (or anyone) know the date (approximate) of the tire slashing offhand?

I believe it was December 2007, and Lisa received in the email in February 2008. That's my recollection, anyway.

I thought the bottom line on those letters was that there was not enough evidence as to their authorship for either side to use them. Someone correct me please if that is wrong..

I'm fairly certain you are right. No one can authenticate those letters except for the author...which is likely MM. Now, if he wants to take the stand and authenticate them, well, then I'm sure JM would gladly move for their admission. Otherwise, the other alleged author cannot authenticate them, for obvious reasons.

I think the only things keeping Jodi's mother from saying anything is respect for the ailing father and respect for the other Arias siblings. Isn't one of them young or looks teenaged? If that's the case, then good for her, why drag family members whom have nothing to do with this case into it for public curiosity? As long as Travis Alexander gets justice, why drag the family who didn't commit the crime into it? Some people make bad decisions.

And the skinnier she gets the more they look like the grim reaper's skeleton hands.

I posted before that I watch cartoons every night before I go to sleep after watching the trial coverage all day.

My grandmother passed away 2 weeks before Christmas several years ago and that song was sang at her funeral. When they play a clip of JA singing that, I have to mute my TV; I refuse to let a monster ruin such a precious thing for me.

IIRC, the statement was that JA received copies of the letters, not originals, which made them suspect from their introduction. Ridiculousness, just like the 2 notes JA said she received in jail from the ninjas when she was going with that story. Bah!
There were, however, handwriting experts on both sides. As soon as Juan's actually admitted her findings, the defense dropped the whole thing.
The fact that they were copies, and she could never produce the "originals" was only PART of the problem.

Each side is required to turn over everything unless it's work product. Work product includes anything that contains case strategy, theories or tactics of the attorneys. It's often hard to determine what is, and what is not, work product because many times there are test results or other testimonial evidence (discoverable) and strategic info (not discoverable) within the same document. So, it sounds like the judge found a few of the notes contained both.

Often the Defense tells their experts NOT to put anything in writing. Therefore the Prosecution has no idea what they'll be testifying to. Dirty trick but totally legal.

Hmmm. Come to think of it, it's hard to believe that Travis wouldn't start locking his doors after the stalking and tire slashing started.

So all we have is the word of a pathological, psychopathic liar, and what reason do we have to believe her about this when she has lied about pretty much everything else. None. So she either broke in to the house, had a key, or he did in fact leave his doors open. If he did, I think it's because he was feeling comfortable with her hundreds of miles away in Yreka. Which is why she went back to Yreka, to take him off guard, and to carry out her plan. I'm sure he never dreamed she would come back to exact her vengeance. He thought she was gone, that he was finally rid of her...

I don't believe that he knew she was coming, nor invited her in or even willingly let her in. I believe that however she got in, she was not supposed to be there.

Hi everyone,

Busy weekend tryin g to get things done and I swear there is never enough time in the day. So now I am playing cacth up.

neesaki I have thought so too. He no longer wanted to have anything to do with her and I think conversations between the two of them had taken place saying as such which we know nothing about.
I think he told her to hit the highway at some point and she knew it was over.
Her answer? Kill him because if I can't have him no one can.

Oops... Can't believe you made the reference to Nurmi's wurmi!

Shouldn't have told me about Maria. I just found her city/state/zip, email address, and phone number.

She worked with Sue Stodola in Adult Probation @ Maricopa County before Sue's retirement from that department.

Here's what she's been doing since 1999:

Capital Mitigation Specialist
Self-Employed
May 2006 – Present (6 years 11 months)

Probation Officer
Adult Probation Department
June 1999 – May 2006 (7 years) Maricopa County Arizona

Victim Advocate
Maricopa Office of the Prosecutor Office
November 2004 – May 2005 (7 months) Phoenix, Arizona Area

Yet someone just posted this on another message board.

Justice 4 Travis ‏@Justice4Travis1 7m
TO CLARIFY:

The lady sitting behind the def. table in court is Wilmott's paralegal, not the Mitigation Specialists...

That is kind of what I had thought, and what we have to consider when placing the May 2008 phone call in context. This was not a guy battling down the hatches because a stalker was afoot.
