I think they should. Round em up and get their dna. It's a longshot but worth a try.
Maybe worth it. But, wouldn't this suggest LE has the killer's dna?

I often thought they had a sample.....maybe hair left on/in the burlap
I just finished reading Kolker's book.
I had always assumed Hackett did come into contact with Shannon that night, even if brieflly, since her mother is suing him.
Kolker presents it as completely unknown whether or not the doctor even saw Shannon that night (it all seems to be hear day).
Am I understanding this correctly? How do you sue someone saying they could have prevented a person's death when you can't even prove he saw the person who died that night?
I would love to see the raw/uncut footage as opposed to the edited and polished version of 48 hours. You never know what the context is or was. You don't even know when the video was taken...was it old or is it from a recent interaction...we are not given those details. The Kolker book is sympathetic to Hackett, but the recent 48 Hours episode included new footage in which Hackett came across very poorly. At best, bumbling. At worst, extremely suspicious.
I believe National Geographic will air a show called Americas Secret. Its about the sex trade in the US that apparently most Americans are still unaware is happening in the good old US of A. Young girls are kidnapped and or forced into prostitution everyday. Those that are responsible should be lined up and shot dead. Instead they only serve a few years IF caught. The sentence for this crime is indicitive of the prevailing attitude toward the crime commited and its victims. I guess that wont change unless the crime itself happens to the family members of lawmakers and member of the judicial system. Pathetic.
IMO, Kim didn't come off too well in the book (neither did Lorraine or Mari, come to think of it). I felt though, that his portrayal of these women was authentic- they were portrayed as people, not angelic mothers to the victims, if that makes sense.
I'd always accepted that Kim put up escort ads to try to catch her sister's killer (as that's all over MSM), but after reading the book, that's not why I think she's still in the business from time to time.
Thoughts?

I never believed that Kim posted her ad's to catch the SK. Maybe a part of her was hopeing she would bump into him. But this is a girl who never even reported her sister missing. That says a lot to me.
And that's all I have to say about that.
