"Mr. Kennedy, it's Aaron. I'm writing to you, and Pure (Kennedy's prison name) doesn't know. He is my brother and he always will be," read one letter to Kennedy's father. Army said Hernandez wrote letters to Kennedy's stepbrothers and stepsisters as well.

my guess is Kennedy's family helped to get stuff into the prison for the "boys"...promises of expensive presents for everyone always helps.

Darn, I missed it & can't find a link yet. At least there is a clip in here...thanks!

Why is it that Baez always runs to TMZ for an interview or comment?

I've wondered the same thing. I think he and Harvey Levin have some kind of PR deal! Everybody else seems to head to the Daily Mail. :blushing:

Here's a YouTube link to the presser. Let me know if it doesn't work!

**So I guessing that AH went back to the Prison ea night? Not kept at the local jail? Disclaimer not sure where prison is in relations to the court, and his close friend speaks of suicide and he doesn't say anything to anyone?**

“My client has also relayed to me that he and Aaron Hernandez were close friends and spent a great deal of time together in prison,” Army said in his opening statement.

Kennedy, who’s currently on suicide watch, is believed to be the last person Hernandez saw before he hanged himself in his prison cell last week just before 3:00 a.m. Army said Hernandez told Kennedy he was thinking about ending his life three weeks ago. “I think I’m going to hang it up. LOL,” the note allegedly said.

Army also claims Hernandez gifted a $50,000 watch to Kennedy on his 22nd birthday. The whereabouts of the piece of jewelry is unknown.

Army said he’s requesting the note in question be released to his client. The content of the letter is apparently unclear, because it was written in code. But Army says it was meant for Kennedy, citing the closeness of their relationship and a prison source. Hernandez’s attorney, Jose Baez, insists no such letter exists.

In an apparent effort to prove Kennedy’s friendship with Hernandez, Army read aloud one sentence from a letter the former Patriots tight end purportedly wrote to Kennedy’s father. “He’s my brother and always will be,” it said.

In September 2006, Hernandez and Kennedy asked to live with each other, Army said. But the request was denied. **TYPO trying to be so fast? ^^ 2016! **

“Aaron Hernandez was one of the most powerful forces as a person [Kennedy] has ever known, Army said. Aaron could took any situation, no matter how bad it seemed, and turn it into a positive.” http://mashup.weei.com/sports/2017/04/26/kyle-kennedy-lawyer-press-conference

Sorry but I am going to call BS on this if this is a direct quote. (real life happened at time for press conf hate when that happens)
Letters are read, and I feel sure AH letters for sure. If he had said that someone should have known. As in prison/jail personnel

Kyle Kennedy is a liar. The tall tale that he and his lawyer our spinning has changed significantly over the last week.

Earlier the tall tale was that Hernandez had the 50K watch delivered to the Kennedy's and today it's "Kennedy also wants possession of a custom, $50,000 watch he says Hernandez promised to give him, Army said. The watched was promised last August on Kennedy’s 22nd birthday, the lawyer said, conceding that the promise was only made verbally." [Source]

Last week it was reported with certainty that the third suicide note was addressed to Kennedy, today the story is completely different:
The note does not have Kennedy’s name on it, and is at times “incoherent,” but Kennedy believes it was meant for him and uses a jailhouse code that he would understand, Army said.

Kyle Kennedy and his attorney absolutely disgust me.

I'm no fan of Aaron Hernandez but I am a fan of the truth; something Kennedy and his lawyer know nothing about.

People in jail/prison like to get mail/send mail. This is nuts, how would AH have the father and siblings address, unless he got it from KK. Unless the father and siblings also wrote to AH. So if they write in code, is that code for something.

Conflicting reports that KK is then isn't on suicide watch. He was reading true and untrue reports allegedly. He may not want to read what people are saying now. jmho

Excellent point!

Btw is it just me or has anyone else noticed that both this tragic lawyer and the media are presenting the idea that life in a maximum security prison is no different than life in a college dormitory? Frankly, they have to present it in the college dorm manner because this tall tale becomes so implausible when you present life in a maximum security prison in a accurate manner.

You make an excellent point about people in prison's affinity for the US postal service.

As far as the letter, I think there's a logical and innocent explanation: IIRC Kennedy's dad was instrumental in Kennedy finding himself in prison. Aaron Hernandez was a "problem" inmate, probably didn't get along with most people (based on the incidents we are aware of). Perhaps one of the folks he did get along with was Kennedy. The younger Kennedy probably thought that a letter from a famous football player could be a bridge to rebuild the relationship with his dad and Hernandez agreed to do it. It wouldn't surprise me if it comes out that Aaron Hernandez wrote letters to the families of other inmates that he got along with.

Based on your excellent point about prisoners and the US mail, it seems plausible. And maybe Kennedy thought "he doesn't know I'm writing this to you" would somehow help redeem him in his father's eyes?

Thank you for the link scorpio!

A whole lot different when you get to watch it. KK was sent out of general population on the day AH committed suicide, but he was the last to talk to him?? I would assume that they are keeping him segregated on suicide watch with a babysitter for this length of time trying to break him down and make him talk. Where and how did they get the drugs... but Army said he couldn't go to his drug program..HA!!

I bet there are a whole lot of unhappy people in that prison right now as everyone is on lockdown locked in their cells 24/7.

K2 is relatively easy to smuggle into prisons, as it can be soaked into paper and mailed under the guise of a letter, Newsweek reported.

Two law enforcement sources said that there has been a 'shakedown' at a warehouse used by SBCC and a neighboring facility, which serves as a holding place for dry goods before they enter the facilities. Inmates and prison staff both are employed at the warehouse.
An investigation at the prison following Hernandez's death has led to the paid suspension of at least one prison official, who reportedly missed his 2am round roughly an hour before the former Patriot's body was discovered.
Inmates reportedly told investigators that they believed Hernandez was high on K2 at the time he died.
The drug is known to be harmful and has caused thousands of hospitalizations from overdoses since its creation.

You bet your writing tablet there are! And word get around. Especially those inmates that told AH may have smoked K2 on Tues the evening/night prior to being found at 3 am. Could be they are keeping KK wherever they are to keep him safe at the moment. They brought in extra LEO and special unit at that to shake down the prison and warehouse. I doubt they tell the public what they actually find. This is a max security prison nothing to joke about. They really going to be mad if they got their stash taken. I would assume no radio or tv privileges on lockdown?

What I don't get is anything with murder - how could someone kill you and get out but still lock the door from the inside with cardboard and stuff.

It's a prison it's not like the murderer could have gone out another door!

I just read on an earlier post that they knew each other before prison. IMO that is significant. Can anyone tell if it is Aaron in the left of the pic

obviously, they are not in jail in this pic, so if it is Arron that seems to make that true??

It was also three in the morning he probably slept naked why get up dress to kill yourself??

JMHO until they prove someone else did it, I am going with suicide. As to what caused it I am not sure. Reading about various things and K2 and possible brain disorder could contribute to it. Just so many wonky things going on.

I was watching video and reading about that Druce guy killing the priest that did all that raping of young boys/men. He tore up books (cardboard) and also put fingernail file and toothbrush in the elec door track. **but Druce was inside the room jumping on his vic and strangling him** Video should show if anyone else went into his cell. Plus there was a report that his door window was covered up. *which a guard would have seen had he made his rounds I am guessing.

Exactly, and the soap on the floor. Baez is notorious for turning the truth in a different direction, like now on this.
