OT but I'd be surprised if this guy ever pulled the kinda crap Hernandez tried

http://www.buzzfeed.com/ryanhatesthis/houston-texans-jj-watt-proposes-to-6-year-old-g

It all started when Watt saw a YouTube video of 6-year-old Breanna crying because she wasn’t old enough to marry Houston Texan J.J. Watt....

J.J. Watt is a great guy!

You can bet AH would never waste his time like that. Heck, he couldn't be bothered to make friends with his teammates. Maybe, after seeing how this turned out, that was a good thing..

JMO

I don't know about learning disabilities because he did have three years of college but I definitely think his attorneys will bring up 10 years of football and hard hits to the head as well as any concussions he suffered

:banghead: I hope not.

That is so cute. I love the huge JJ Watt jersey she can use for a nightgown. :giggle:

When she's eighteen and JJ is going through his mid life crisis, you never know. :blowkiss:

$1,500 that's sick. I'm guessing they'll be tres chic amongst gang bangers.

Oh, I am sure...Makes me sick. Kind of like OJ's stuff that he sold, autographed footballs and cutlery while in jail awaiting his murder trial.

JMO, IMO, :moo:, and all other disclaimers.

Hodgson says that Hernandez has never asked to get hitched but if he does he won’t be allowed to. “We don’t do weddings or baptisms or anything like that,” he said. “I have had a policy like that since I started as sheriff 16 years ago. It is not something we feel we need to reorganize our schedules for.”

From JerseyGirl's link above: the sheriff dosen't marry anyone, not just Hernandez.

Hernandez did not hide who he was. He reportedly threatened Wes Welker. Matt Light, a former Patriot, made it clear in a newspaper interview he could easily see Hernandez’s character flaws. A dozen NFL franchises took him off their draft boards based on their investigation of his behavior at Florida.

When he stood in chains before a judge at his arraignment, in a white T-shirt and his arms decorated in ink, Hernandez did not look out of place. Guilty or innocent, he looked like someone who had prepared for this moment. He didn’t look like an athlete. He looked like an ex-con.

Like nearly everything else in this society, athlete culture has been hijacked by mass incarceration and the pervasive gangster culture it has produced. Mindless rebellion is not a part of sports culture. Sports culture is steeped in patriotism and the ideals and values we claim make this the greatest country in the world. It’s not by accident the national anthem is played before every sporting event.

yep, yep...that gangsta' life sho be glamorous.....

Excellent article, TexMex, thank you for posing it.

Also from your article:

Aaron Hernandez is not Rae Carruth or O.J. Simpson. Carruth and Simpson were accused of committing crimes of passion, emotion and greed. They had motives. Hernandez is being described by police as simply violent, volatile and dangerous. He’s Joe Pesci’s character in the movie “Casino.”

Yep, that about says it all.

IMO

Urban Meyer won't take blame for Aaron Hernandez's troubles

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...eyer-denies-enabling-aaron-hernandez/2494937/

Meyer, now coach at Ohio State, said neither he nor his Florida coaches should be blamed for Hernandez's behavior – then or now.

"Prayers and thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim," Meyer texted. "Relating or blaming these serious charges to the University of Florida, myself or our staff is wrong and irresponsible."

Meyer said stories about Hernandez's days with the Gators have contained inaccuracies.

"I just received an email from a friend where there is an accusation of multiple failed drug tests by Hernandez covered up by University of Florida or the coaching staff. This is absolutely not true," Meyer texted. "Hernandez was held to the same drug testing policy as every other player."

He added: "He was an athlete at Florida 4 -7 yrs ago and there are some comments being made that are not correct. Our staff, myself and our families worked very hard to mentor and guide him.

He said typically clubs do not hire private investigators but instead rely on their area scouts, some of them young and inexperienced, to obtain background information on prospects. Often, that information comes from the player's college, which might not be forthright.

"Some of the schools will tell you what you need," Sundquist said. "But if you don't have the relationship built, if it's a young scout that goes in there, they're going to protect their reputation and their head coach, and the fact that they recruited a knucklehead."

At Florida, Hernandez was coached by Urban Meyer, who is close friends with Patriots Coach Bill Belichick. The presumption is that Meyer gave Hernandez the thumbs up.

If the couple does choose to legally marry and is able to do so while Hernandez is behind bars, Murphy says that could have the potential to influence the ex-NFL star's trial in a significant way. He says Jenkins would then be allowed to use the spousal privilege and opt out of testifying. According to Murphy, the privilege is valid in Massachusetts even if the couple was not married at the time of the incident in question.

He says it seems plausible Jenkins would know information regarding the case.

"They lived in the same house together. You would imagine she would overhear or see something," Murphy told Crimsider.

Earnest Wallace to be arraigned in Attleboro District Court this afternoon

Under the Massachusetts joint venture law, anyone present when a crime was committed, had knowledge that a crime was going to be committed, or in any way aided or encouraged a crime being committed is subject to the same legal penalties as the person who committed the crime.
