Good Lord i hope no one starts a Go Fund Me page for Bio Dad. Im sorry but the afterthought of good intentions are not good intentions at all. He had almost 3 years to save this baby yet he only crawls out of the wood work when the media arrives. Every adult in Bellas immediate circle made themselves and their habits the priority instead of the little life that depended on them INCLUDING bio dad. This whole situation is shameful and heart breaking.

OH...and just feels the need to come out and say it now FFS! WHY, WHY, WHY does it appear everyone is coming out the woodwork now to say how it was with Bella and how they seen this they done that but it appears thy never cared enough to Stand up and report incidents!

What a nightmare, living hell!

And that godmother, if it was my god child and I helped to raise her I would be over HOT coals and finding any little thing to find to report or make sure my poor child was more thank OK, who she does on the tape class us 'ours' as in hers and POSs, was more than ok, wouldn't only just report twice! Something here doesn't sound right IMO, course it's not her fault, I'm just venting because I'm angered at the blasé reaction, this is a child Ffs!

Godmother might claim she reported it. Police say they had no such report.
“Throughout the investigation, every tip that contained a name, address, or other actionable information was recorded and followed-up,” he said. “We received no tips naming Bella, her mother, or the location of their apartment.”

There were two cases, in 2012 and 2013. Both were closed. I don't think they have anything to do with MM or his friend. Bio dad claims he is the one who called DCF.

Thank you I had forgotten that. But we would not know if he called and they didn't open a case based on the past files.

What makes anyone think DCF wouldn't just have done the same thing they did in 2012 and 2013? Which was closing the cases.

Me either. Thanks for clarifying the years. Well his claims will surely be proven when/if this goes to Trial. If admissable. Or when he sues. I cant believe he faces no charges for hanging on to what he knew. Has the nerve to tout he broke the case. Blaming the only entity sueable. Is sueable a word LOL

I keep seeing that bio-dad claims he called DCF.

While the source of calls to DCF is normally kept confidential, I sure want to know if his assertions are valid or not.

My sense is that this guy is exploiting the situation to the max right now.

The judge tries to hide it but he looks absolutely disgusted by this

I think it is possible MM was so strung out on heroin that he does not know what happened. I have heard that they fall asleep on heroin.

RB could have told him that he did it. She looks so evil that I cannot see that she would allow anyone to do something to " her kid."

Interesting that she does not want to lose her housing, So Bella was her meal ticket.

Where is MM's dog?

Did they use the frig for food while Bella was there?

One would think RB would be a straight jacket mess if she cared that her daughter was dead in the frig

There was no link or citation for the information in the post I quoted. It's still not appropriate in anyway to discuss the criminal history of the bio dad who had nothing to do with his daughter's death.

He may not win father of the year awards but his calling in reports to child services and still more than anyone else did for this poor child. He also attempted to go in person to check on her welfare. There are plenty of bio dads who walk away and never look back. He attempted several times to help Bella. It may not be enough for everyone on this board but he still tried many times. We have no idea what his life situation was/is. Traveling to another state, hiring a lawyer and trying to gain custody is a very expensive undertaking and most likely he would never have been able to gain custody due to his record and inability to get child services to intervene on Bella's behalf. Cases like this play out in court and in the child welfare system everyday. I see heavily drug addicted women get to keep their children all the time even after having then removed and returned over and over again. The facts are he called to make reports as soon as Bella was born and later as well and then traveled there to try to see Bella. He may have been too poor or too stupid or a combo of both to get a lawyer and try to go through the court system. He may have been frightened and afraid of retribution from the people in RB life. He may have a distrust of police and the court system. He may have been afraid Bella would be removed from the home and he would not have been able to get custody of her or see her. I'm not saying he's some sort of Angel and what anyone would consider a good father by any means, but he didn't kill Bella and he did a lot more than most fathers who leave thousands of children in bad situations everyday and never even think about them again. To me it sounds like his constant pressuring and questioning of RB, along with the questioning by the friend staying with her, did end up being the catalyst that caused RB to confess to several people. Without this we would probably never have known Bella's name.

I agree. We are holding amoroso to our standards. But if we consider the people bella had in her life, he was one of the better ones. He did speak with her on the phone. He said she could say kitty cat because she loved hello kitty. He did call CPS to check in on her. I'm assuming his recent trip from Florida to boston was to check on her well being. Did he do what I'd expect a man in my life to do. No way, but I'm not a heroine addicted prostitute. Some of the men RB surrounded herself with were down right scary. Maybe he feared the grave digger. Maybe he was threatened. Is that a reason to abandon your daughter? No. Do I think he is truly saddened by her death? Yes. I think this will be a maturing point in his life. He seems VERY immature- probably due to delayed development from abusing drugs during times of important brain formation - the teen years. So yes, he's immature and certainly not father of the year. But he seems to care somewhat

Maybe I'm being too soft hearted. But at the moment, I see him as just VERY immature, but not a despicable evil person.

Really wonder if the lifelong friend hadn't come through with the tip when we would have known this is Bella. I don't know why the bio dad didn't notify LE the moment he knew she was dead and I wonder if they thought they had gotten away with something. The checks were still coming in. RB didn't look like she was scared of MM to me. She looked angry and worried about herself, not an abused woman standing beside her abuser.

Oh yes that would be the one clutching Bella's stuffed duck. How did she get her paws on it? Oh and the one escorted out of Court after her bravado including an F bomb. This poor child never had anyone in her life with a lick of sense or respect for anything IMO

Stuffed in a freezer? Jesus, if that's true, any inkling of sympathy for that woman is gone. And I really didn't have much to begin with. You can only blame the drugs so much. If you loved your child you would have gotten her out of that house and away from those toxic influences in your own life. Leaving her with a known domestic abuser on top of your own drug problems? I just. Wow there are no words.
I pray that on Monday that turns out it be false, same thing with the stomach punching. I don't care how high you were, anyone who can do that to an innocent 2 year old is possibly the lowest of the low. Same with helping to cover up that crime. I'll be pissed if a Homolka- style plea bargain is given to RB. MM will be locked up for life no doubt, at least.

When my daughter was 1 year old, her dad's attitude toward me shifted dramatically. He became angry and violent, throwing things at first, escalating to pushing and pinching, and threats with guns and knives. Drugs were not an issue, and I became convinced that leaving my job and staying home with Lauren would improve the relationship with her dad. It got worse. He was openly belittling me and she picked up the habit from him. I eventually ended the marriage when it became clear he was not going to change (for the better).
When Lauren was a year and a half to 2 years old, I once THOUGHT I saw him punch her in the chest. I saw him pull back, swing, and her start to cry. He swore he did not HIT her, just scared her, and it left no mark. She was too young to answer questions. I stayed with him. It was mainly because I was not CERTAIN of him having hit her, and still don't know if he did, although I later heard he had a history of anger issues.

I would like to think I am a pretty good mother, but I did not leave her dad when I thought he might possibly have struck her one time. If it had happened again, i would have left.

This reminder falls at random

DO NOT sleuth or post information about the unnamed lifelong friend discussed by the prosecution today at the arraignment who assisted in baby Doe being identified as Bella. As before, you may discuss what is said in the MSM about the individual(s) involved in leading to Bella's ID. But do not sleuth them.

Zero tolerance. There will be no additional warnings and discussion that even suggests or implies sleuthing could result in the loss of posting privileges.

I wasn't able to catch the hearing today. Having trouble finding a link. Does anyone have one?

I just went to youtube and entered both their names and arraignment. It's there. I'm still having probs with adobe flash so could not watch online or view the link.

Someone help me out here. How could MM have been 'standing over her with his hand over her abdomen' if Bella was on a mattress on the FLOOR?

The guy isn't 3 feet tall FFS! He would have had to be on the FLOOR WITH her or on his KNEES to have his hand 'over her abdomen!'

I think RB is lying through her teeth! I hope the prosecutor goes back through her statement with a fine-toothed comb. Stupid heifer just gave herself up with that one statement.

At 2:32...she mouths something to looks like bio dad...looks like "What's the matter?"

After the child was killed, Bond told police, the couple remained high for days, according to Deakin. Bond believes her daughter's body was stored in a refrigerator until the couple drove to Deer Island, put her in a bag and weighted it, she told police.

When the friend asked last week where her little girl was, McCarthy and Bond both initially insisted the child had been taken into the custody of the Department of Child and Family Services.

Bella was finally identified after the friend told his sister about the missing girl, and the sister tipped off police.

Deakin said the medical examiner's office has ruled out all natural causes of death for Bella, and there were no signs of trauma on the girl. The examiner hasn't ruled out a manner of death that includes asphyxiation and suffocation, Deakin said.
