But even if it is one of Bella's hairs, it doesn't mean PROOF that she was absolutely placed in the fridge, dead. Her hair could have transferred from a sippee cup that was put back in the fridge, or something like that.

If there was more forensics besides that, like MMs fingerprints on the bag or something, it would be more damning.

Your correct. DA has no evidence other than RB's word. DA sure is trying hard to get a conviction.

I was extremely confused by Scott's testimony about semen/sperm and I did not get any clarification on direct or cross exam.

The summary from NBC Boston (http://www.nbcboston.com/news/local...a-Bond-Case-to-Return-to-Stand-428134563.html) said:

She also testified the zebra print blanket Bond was wrapped in tested positive for saliva and semen, and that she tested two stains on the polka dot leggings Bond was found wearing.
"The stain on the knee area was positive for the presence of semen and I took a small portion of the stain on the knee and the stain in the rear crotch area of the pants that was white and extracted those for sperm cells and what were the results of those extractions – those were negative,” Scott said.

----

So what the heck is the difference between testing positive for semen and testing positive for sperm?? Can anyone with a science background help me understand this? TIA!

Not a lot going on, they were having a boring testimony on cell towers etc and now nothing seems to be happening.

All sperm will test positive for semen but not all semen will test positive for sperm. Semen is the fluid sperm are suspended in therefore the "vessel" for sperm to leave the body. However, if a man has a vasectomy, they still produce semen but the semen will not contain sperm.

Sounds like the 'emotional' friend of MM (I think) will be the next witness at 2:00...interrupting this cell phone witness.

I was thinking the same. On clothing and the blanket, could have been transferred. Grosssss

Other people stayed at the Apt like Sprinsky so who knows who it belongs to. When they showed the video of the apt there was piled high laundry everywhere so I don't think much got laundered.
