What a mess this trial is becoming and it's only still in jury selection! So the killer is banging his head on the floor, he doesn't like the trial. This does not bode well.
 
Wow..wonder if this is all an act.
Earlier in the selections on of the networks mentioned trying to get it streamed once the trial actually started. Methinks this might be a ploy to keep cameras out of the courtroom?

He has attacked someone before. I can't remember if it was a guard or another counciler. I would be scared to go in there with him also.

The lawyers,court psychologist are due back in front of #PhilipChism judgeat 3 pm, EST.

Chism attacked another female clinician, no wonder this doctor doesn't want to go into a room with him. Maybe the court needs to assign a male doctor. Chism is only 16 yo, he may think this will stop the trial permanently. The prosecution seems to think this is a delaying tactic by Chism and the defense. At this point I really don't know what to think, we haven't heard from any doctors yet on Chism's mental status so I hope we get some insight this afternoon.

A delay tactic is likely. I don't trust this monster one bit.

Or they want to have him declared unfit for trial?

I don't remember whether the death penalty is a consideration in this case?

But maybe he is just now realizing how serious this all is and has a breakdown. I couldn't care less. Hope they can continue jury selection soon and start the trial.


ETA: scratch the question about dp, it's never given to minors anyway, right?
 
As an aside, I want to say that I feel very sad for PC's mother. This must all be like a nightmare for her. We all too often forget the parents of murderers, they suffer tremendously too.

(Of course, Colleen's parents suffer much more.)

So sad all around :(

It sounds like the doctor didn't make another attempt at the evaluation today, I wonder why? So they are bringing him back to court tomorrow for the evaluation. I also wonder why they can't do it tonight at the jail? This is when trial by tweet fails, we just don't get all the information. I'm hoping there will be an article with more information.

BTW - if Chism is having problems coping now with just jury selection he isn't going to fare well when witnesses are on the stand. Could be an interesting trial.

I thought about that also today after reading the tweets of her coming back from the hospital and her crying. My heart did break for her, I hope she does not blame herself.

But with that said, I have always wonder how much advise you are allowed to give to your client if you are their lawyer in a trial, by reason on how to act and whatnot. I have seen seats be lowered, hair colored and pulled back, clothing changed to make them seem more innocent or docile. I mean, how much can be suggested, or is it no-holds-bar between a lawyer and their client. Or is it a lawyer throwing out hints as to what could happen if certain 'things' do happen, and have the client ride with it?
 
Smart move on the doctor's part to not enter his cell, although I am concerned that she would have gone in there if he acted calm.

Well funny - he didn't flip out the night he was arrested. In fact he arrogantly stated that "after she insulted me that's when I became the teacher."

IMO if this little soap opera was a script sent to a producer it would get dropped into the shredder and sent back.

I Hope that's what the judge ends up doing.
