So, a lot to read! I see I am not alone in my thoughts that she could have possibly walked away. Possibly. A LOT of people feel this way. A LOT. Also, if you read under the most recent post, there is speculation that she went to Rite Aid to pick up insulin. Appearently, the clerk, said so. Read through the comments to see. Of course, like anything on SM, may not be true.....but it may be. I know, people say, she wouldn't leave her child, but she wouldn't be the first to do so. I am not certain this is the case, but I am now going to explore this possibility. I think LE is for certain. Why? They haven't made any statements in a long time, have never implied that they thought she was a victim of foul play, that the had a POI/suspect. Everything about foul play has come from the family. Not sure why? Families hold out hope forever even when they are told the evidence shows other. Sorry, but it pains me reading that they say she was murdered.

Oh and an admin stated they don't understand why the dad is calling him the husband bc he is not.

I totally think it's plausible that she ditched town and that idea should not be ruled out. Maybe she was planning this. Maybe she finally reached her breaking point and decided to escape her stressful life for one a little more free. I know I've felt this way before. What better way than to fake your own death? Get some money from dad, leave your meds at home to make people think you were coming back but get more once you have some cash, call some friends to make it seem like you are in some sort of danger, then toss your stuff out in the open off a road in Salem. Poof, you're gone. Who knows, maybe she has a friend who knows the truth and is just covering for her? Or maybe no one knows (like the Brenda Heist matter).

I dunno guys. I guess it's possible she left on her own, women with children do that as we know from cases here.

BUT, I just don't see that being the case with Jaimee. Just a gut feeling, and I'd LOVE to be wrong!!! Another thing that points otherwise, at least to me; LE has invested a considerable amount of time searching for Jaimee. It makes me suspect there is evidence that points to some kind of foul play.

Is that the "searching for Jaimee Mendez" group which is private?

No, the Find JM page, but you have to look using your phone app in order to see the post for some weird reason.

I agree that, if LE thought off the bat that she left on her own, they probably wouldn't have spent so much time investigating this and searching areas. But maybe the fact they have spent so much time investigating this and aren't any closer (at least from the looks of it) could be leading them to believe she's not actually dead. It seems like they just gave up after the pond search. If the clerk did come forward and said he saw her getting insulin the same time she was supposed to pick up the western union, that could have made them change their course of action. If she had enough insulin at home, there was really no point for her to get more while out. But, again, anything is possible at this point IMO. I just like thinking through different scenarios to see if something doesn't fit.

Agreed, sadly.

How many Saturday mornings, now? Her son has no idea, mom is gone. Everyone around him thinks she's dead, no peace for the living who want her back.

Jaimee Mendez, her son, sister, mom, father, partner, friends and community are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope LE succeeds in their pursuit of justice here and help bring Jaimee home to her own. It's Christmas for these folks and the ones who may know more or brought her to her end, I hope that means something too.

I was also thinking of Jaimee today after taking a little leave from the thread. I saw the Missing FB page and all of the comments show now and all I can say is just WOW :-/ I also hope LE is close to finding justice for Jaimee and bring her home. The search with winter conditions will dwindle which makes me sad. I'm a west coast gal and know nothing about hunting or trapping activities in MA or in the Lynn area. Does this occur in the area at all?

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year All. I for one will count my blessings tonight and say a prayer for Jaimee and her family.

Two bodies found in Brockton in wooded area

Remains of woman were dismembered, DA says

Wow! Also from this article:

Cruz urged anyone missing loved ones who fit the description of the woman found Sunday to call State Police at 508-923-4205.

Here is a list of some of the missing from the general area. Sorry I couldn't find a way to fine tune it to just Brockton and Lynn, MA. I would think that LE has reached out to the Mendez family to advise them that bodies have been found. There is nothing new on the FJMFB or her families personal pages at this moment.

ETA: I'm surprised Jaimee isn't listed on NCMEC.

The local news starts in 5 minutes.
If anything of significance is reported I will post.
