I don't know if it's helpful and I think the FBI assistance has to be requested, but the Violent Crimes Task Force of the Boston FBI has partnerships with any local LE that needs them. For instance, was any DNA testing done on Jaimee's belongings when they were found, was JF's van returned to him or is it still impounded, etc.
From the Boston office, Keiran Ramsey is a man who really impressed me during the Nathaniel Kibby kidnapping of a Conway NH teen. He never let up. But Lynn PD and Swampscott PD would have to request them.

I have Google alerts set for "Jaimee Mendez" "Swampscott mom" and "Jason Fleury" with no hits since end of January.

The Mendez posted as recently as yesterday on the FB page. They seem very frustrated with not being able to lay her to rest. I'm hoping that means there is more information coming that will help the case for justice for Jaimee. Hopefully, Spring will thaw some information out of somewhere.

A little while ago, I was thinking about the night Jamiee's sister caught this RSO at his home with scratches on him.

Alyssa is such a hero of mine, seems like a perfect a sister as possible.

I wonder if he was examined that same night when she was reported missing? She was last known to be in fear of him. I wonder why still she was in fear of him before she disappeared and was murdered? She could not have left her phone and things in one place and then walked for miles and jumped in on her own, when she had made calls to try to get home.

Or had he cleaned up his scratches, and what would that have taken, after disposing of her right there in the ocean where she washed up with a storm, months later? He self-reported that he went to his ex-wife's that night. Did he clean up there the first night, certainly may have cleaned up by the time police may have examined him after Jaimee was reported missing?

Jamiee is found, not yet at rest, and justice will come to this RSO with time, I don't doubt it for a minute.

Next month, it'll be Jaimee's son's first Mother's Day without her, that's what I was wondering about, and I'll never forget Jaimee's mom waiting outside his house and the day they found her.

The medical examiner's office appears to be a mess. Here they report finding a body that had been misplaced, and mistakenly labeled as a different person and buried with a funeral. The pain and anguish both families must have gone through is unthinkable. No wonder why the father wrote the longer they have her, the greater the chances are they will lose her.

I have talked with the ME's office on many occasions. The people who work there are just as frustrated in many ways as the family...I was looking for (graphic) set of limbs that had been discovered in MA in order to have the DNA compared to a MP and they just couldnt find them. This was when they first had their shake up a few years ago. It is a terrible situation and my heart breaks for Jaimee's family. They cant hire someone to conduct the autopsy themselves-most people cant anyway. It is extremely expensive.

But I tend to think this means the ME's office simply released her body under pressure, not that they actually have evidence to convict. Do they have any evidence at all?

I agree with so many others here-why is this guy not named a POI? Pure incompetence?
