There's nothing to suggest that the suspect procured children for others. He assaulted children and possessed child *advertiser censored*. It makes more sense that he abducted her, abused her and then "exterminated" her and all evidence of her.

No there isn't. He is known to make videos. Maybe he made one for himself and sold it when the case got so much publicity. I suspect there would be a huge amount of kudos for being involved from paedophiles.

Looking at his criminal history, there's a good chance he met like minded people and contacts in prison. In 2006 he moved out of his apartment and was staying in this van in 2007 ,that means to me that he was really down on his luck ,he was known for quick rich scheme's ,I think he either planned to abduct a child and had contacts who would pay for her ,or he went to burgle the apartment seen a little girl and thought I'd get £10,000 for her.
I listened to a podcast the other day on hunting warhead ,and there's videos on the dark net changing hands for £20 thousand a go ,I wonder if there is a film out there that the police have knowledge of.

I really think there is a video.

If true, wow!

''According to the witness, Madeleine was seen at 11am on May 28, 2007 – three weeks after she vanished – coming out of popular local restaurant Tunnels in Alcossebre, some 600 miles from Praia da Luz.

At the time, Leicestershire Police Detective Constable John Hughes issued an international Interpol alert with a ‘risk to life missing person’ warning demanding that Spanish and German police investigate.

He urged Spanish police to check the location for CCTV and witnesses and asked for the German vehicle keeper details. It is unclear what checks were made.

The police report, issued as part of Operation Task, says: ‘A caller has reported a possible sighting of Madeleine McCann, 11am, 28th May 2007.''

I'm not sure about this at all. She would have been abused. I can't imagine she would have voluntarily got into a van with him quietly after just three weeks with him. She would still have been asking after mum, she was only 4.

When someone does something wrong and are guilty, I always try to understand what their intentions were at the time. What was in their heart when they made the wrong choice?

The parents in this case are guilty of leaving the children unattended. Everyone knows that, even the parents themselves. Ok can we get past that. But they didn't have evil intentions that night, they had a false sense of security, were relaxed, and they paid the ultimate price for this poor judgement. In my eyes they the absolute victims here, after Madeleine of course.

The person who took her, now this persons had the worst of intentions. They had evil in their heart and mind when they stole a tiny innocent.

This is where the blame should be. The anger and spite, aimed towards the evil that took her. The finger pointing and snarky comments, directed at the people most in pain is just another type of evil in my eyes.

Thread is open again.

Very major cleanup was required. Posts have been removed, but too many to provide individual explanation (
victim/parent bashing, general off topic, images with no link, irreparable broken quotes or quoted post was removed, etc).

Please do not bring up all the old discussions unless you can state how you think it relates to this current discussion of CB as suspect #2.

Thank you.

The UK media is being totally irresponsible (as usual)

They are contacting potential witnesses and publishing their stories - with dashes of hype and misleading claims. This could compromise an eventual trial.

I question what the German prosecutor is doing with this approach

This is interesting... But a bit annoying since they’ve all been talking about how he fled back to Germany. Hardly fleeing if he was here for months.

Could evidence in this house lead police to Madeleine McCann? | Daily Mail Online

From the link:

Brueckner had been arrested in Portugal in 2017 and extradited to Germany to serve 15 months in prison for child sexual abuse and possession of child *advertiser censored*.

He was eligible for release in August 2018, but the German authorities were desperate for him to remain behind bars for drug trafficking. Under extradition law, Portugal had to give its consent and it is claimed the Portuguese authorities did not do so in time – meaning Brueckner was released.

Detectives first tried to covertly track his movements but he soon realised that he was under surveillance. The officers then began openly following him.

‘We stood in front of his house at night, walked beside him when he was out, and talked to him,’ said an investigator.

Brueckner went to the Netherlands, where the Dutch police who took over surveillance lost him. From there he fled to Italy, where he was arrested a month later and extradited back to Germany where he was convicted of the 2005 rape of a pensioner

Wow. They really kept a tight leash in this guy.

This guy appears to have no MO. His mentioned potential victims have been in all age ranges. His crimes are also numerous. This is a strange one for sure. Totally unconventional, for want of a better word.

There are psychopaths and there are psychopaths that go beyond. He's definitely the latter.

Desperation, because they think he's committed other crimes. He's due to be released back into public at some point soon and they know he's dangerous; they want as much information as they can so they can keep him inside. Even a couple of more minor misdemeanours might buy them a few months.

Having said that, has anyone got a list of what has actually been released by the German police? Which photos and facts have officially come from the police?

Not to mention following and photographing his poor mother who has nothing to do with any of this

Wow. They really did take him seriously. For LE to be so concerned and for this unbelievable amount of press and information released recently without an arrest, I am assuming there is very little hard evidence or DNA against him. I so wish the resort had surveillance cameras. "CCTV" is so prevalent in Europe and seemed to happen earlier than here (speed cameras, street corners, I remember being amazing in England at the prevalent use). This whole thing feels so hail mary and desperate. I hope it all works out and he's nailed if it is in fact him.
