Well that was an interesting day full of nothing relevant to LM's state of mind when he murdered the young man who was maligned in court all day. I hope whatever lies LM has told his lawyer, and whatever defence tactics he thinks might work to make LJ less sympathetic, bite him in the a$$.

Also wanted to mention that today's witness was answering his questions in Mandarin which was being translated. With three different languages involved in this trial, kudos to the news people tweeting this out for us.

I honestly think Bernardo was a rapist and Karla was a killer. That having been said, if I can help share #Magnotta tweets at a certain time during the day, I am glad to help.

**Edited to add: I was trying to quote someone who compared Magnotta to Bernardo, and I was putting my two cents in, but screwed up my post...
 
Catching up. Disgusted with Leclair's line of questioning of this witness and his attempts to disparage Lin Jun. Grindr, Craigslist, gay *advertiser censored*, so what? ... nothing there that any unattached hetero guy wouldn't do and has zip to do with some SOB taking the life of an innocent victim, and puppies and kittens that had nothing to do with anything.

Leclair would not have won any points today with the jury with his sorry attempts and draconian style on behalf of his client.

IMO, the better man won today. Feng Lin stood up well. I particularly like the ending sentence from this article:

What that dignified man went through was disgusting and I sure hope there were many good people following his court appearance who bolstered his spirits. He deserved huge hugs and a lot of support.
 
I thought the attack on Lin Jun's character was appalling yesterday. So what if he spoke to men online, so what if he looked at semi-nude photos, so what if he watched *advertiser censored*, even if it was S&M between consenting adults in a controlled environment? What relevance at all does it have on what Luka Magnotta did? Does anyone at all believe that Lin Jun would say that he wanted to be hacked to death with an ice pick in a snuff flick, to have his body parts mailed around the country, to be beheaded, to be stuffed into a suitcase and black plastic bags and dumped like trash? It was awful to hear his memory being tarnished in the way it was.

I totally agree. And the most confusing part of all is that LM is 100 times more likely to be involved in much more than what little dirt LeClair tried to fling at Lin Jun so what does this prove? If you want your client to come off as NCR due to severe mental disorders then it would bode well to make his victim appear to be squeaky clean and there is no reason for LM to have lured and killed him other than he is insane. Really scratching my head on the point of yesterday. It just reconfirms for me that LM was deliberately trolling those sites for a victim. :confused:
