Next search plane should be leaving within the next hour. We still have another hour before the first plane arrives at the search area:

A Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) P3 Orion departed for the search area at around 9.15am AEST.

A civil Gulfstream jet and a second RAAF P3 Orion is due to depart for the search area at approximately 11am AEST.

A third RAAF P3 Orion is due to depart for the search area at approximately 1pm AEST.

The United States Navy P8 Poseidon aircraft is due to depart for the search area at approximately 4pm AEST.

One merchant vessel is currently in the search area. A second merchant vessel is due to arrive tonight.

#China’s icebreaker Xuelong is in #Perth and ready to set off to a suspicious spot in S. Indian Ocean where the debris is located. #MH370

I hope they publicly release any significant if at all info they find from the deleted files from flight simulator hard drive. It's probably nothing more than freeing up HD space. Certainly he was smart enough to know if he was planning some huge terror plot involvement deleting files does not completely erase.

So nothing new yet. I guess the day is just beginning there for searches. Hopefully they'll find something soon.

I think so.

I just quickly scanned the Wiki article, so I might have missed some details.

But I am pretty sure I heard that from someone/where.

I think China has the right idea. IMO

By the time Martin Savage climbs out of that simulator he is going to have his Pilots License

Bravo, Bravo!
Everytime I turn on the TV, he's at the simulator along with the 'pilot'. lol!

Oh my that is great and the reports are just not that enlightening!!!!

Impressive search that's for sure. If not a favourable outcome it wont be lack of trying

I never watch CNN...last night was the first time in years. Does AC do that late stuff normally or was that a call-in for breaking news? He was very comforting to listen to...lulled me to sleep, eventually.

How the search could unfold:

If no debris is found, a submarine will be sent out to search for the 'ping' emitted by the black box.

If the sub fails to find the black box, an automated underwater vehicle will be sent out to sweep the seabed, taking pictures that will be analyzed for anomalies.

He does have an evening show AC 360. He was filling in tho for special coverage-I guess that's what one would call it.

I am by no means a conspiracy theorist, but, IMO there is a reason we know about the simulator, the fake passports, mr.ali, "all right good night", instruments being shut down, flight plan change, and now the phone call. I am not placing blame on anyone, yet. I think we are being fed crumbs to ease us into this very harsh reality that this was not an accident. But again MOO.

I just thought of something!

Maybe the Captain/FO used his cell phone (innocently of course) and this disrupted the interfere electronics like communications equipment or the navigation system?
