I believe this is so tragic, with all the technology we have today, we would lose an airliner in a non hostile territory. This shows that it's not a perfect system. I hope the FAA takes this as a serious flaw in the system and figures out a way to stop this from ever happening again. The strain on the families must be unbearable. With over 13,000 satellites in orbit only one is capable of tracking airliners?

Malaysian military says they haven't ruled out a terrorist attack or hijacking. Some Information held for security concerns. #Live #MH370

JMO MOO I'm very uncomfortable with the slowly progressing media inferences about Captain Shah.

And that's all I'll say about that.

I just thought of something!

Maybe the Captain/FO used his cell phone (innocently of course) and this disrupted the interfere electronics like communications equipment or the navigation system?

I dunno. I have sat beside many who make calls before take off. I just don't see it but anything is possible at this point I suppose.

I never watch CNN...last night was the first time in years. Does AC do that late stuff normally or was that a call-in for breaking news? He was very comforting to listen to...lulled me to sleep, eventually.

He is going to be on again "live" at 11:00pm ET.

:)

The British satellite company, Inmarsat, says it had indications the missing Malaysia airlines flight may have crashed into the Indian Ocean as early as two days after the aircraft disappeared.

“Inmarsat shared their data with a partner company the following day, on March 11, and with Malaysian investigators on March 12,” ABC News reports.

It was a week before the search moved from its initial focus on the South China Sea and Malacca Straits to the Indian Ocean, which would have given any debris from the plane lots of time to drift from its potential crash site.

makes sense ... they probably spent the next few days searching satellite images, eventually stumbling on these images on Sunday.

BBM ~ See? I never said the government lied. There is a reason they are holding back information, and here we go - security.

Is it going to be televised? Or on the net?

I am not sure if this is the meeting going on with the families?

For the first time, senior Malaysian officials will address #MH370 passengers' families at 10 am BJT at the Lido Hotel in Beijing.

Oh. Well the paper stated before take off. I suppose it would be easy to prove exactly what time the call was made and when the plane actually left.
