Giving details regarding passports
No mention of plane whereabouts yet !

Photos on passports DID match passengers !

Holy cow! This could actually be a test for the technology!

Lets get a grip here guys, they have not secreted 239 people plus 12 crew as a test of technology. Where would you keep them for decades as they can't get back to family or the test is no longer secret. Kill them all? I know U.S. companies have done some bad things but again where would they be now and I don't think they could have done it without someone leaking, its not like hiding an iphone in a large company.

IMO something catastrophic happened, either a hijacking that went bad or explosive decompression and they just haven't found the debris yet.

I do believe we aren't hearing everything but again, not because they are trying to hide the bodies. The airline and the two governments (three if you include vietnam) want this found as badly as the rest of us.

19 year-old Iranian man held one of the stolen passports. A musician, not believed to be a member of a terrorist group, trying to migrate to Germany. I didn't catch the name.

One believed to be 19 year old Iranian
No terrorists link.
Believe he was trying to migrate to Germany.

Has PC finished or have Sky just cut it ?!

Right which I understand. But big companies NEVER allow everyone to take the same flight. That is a huge nono. Because if something like this happened then it could potentially take out the higher eshelon(sp) of the company which could in turn be devastating to the company. So when whoever is setting up the flights, they are always told to make sure that they schedule people on different flights. Even if they are all meeting at the same place. That way if a plane were to go down, only a couple people would be affected rather then 20, therefore ensuring that the company would still be able to function.

The company employs about 16,500 employees, so I'd think that 20 on one plane is deemed as acceptable risk. If they were all senior management then 20 wouldn't happen IMO.

Was wondering the same thing!

Ugh, I was hoping for updates on the new (?) debris found.

I was talking to my dad about this today, he's a retired Navy Chief Air Traffic Controller. He doesn't see terrorism in this, thinks it was catastrophic failure and pretty much reiterated that the area is very large. He actually was on a ship there long ago. He also said that the stolen passport thing is very common. I don't know, now that they have released the name of one of the pp holders, explaining that he was trying to migrate, I'm kinda leaning to dad's side of things.

Such a mystery, though. Something needs to break soon, because those poor families are in such misery, wondering what happened and if they will be able to bring their loved ones back :(

PC :
Showing photos of passengers

PC:
Seem to be ruling out any terrorist links ( re.two passports )

UPDATE [3.42pm]: From the press conference by Malaysian Inspector General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar:

The identity of the passenger traveling with a stolen Austrian passport:
He is Pouria Nour Mohammad Mehrdead, 19 from Iran. He was traveling to Germany, where his mother had been waiting for him, with plans to migrate.

His mother got in touch with Malaysian police when he failed to arrive and confirmed that she had known that he was traveling with a stolen passport. Check on him found that he was 'not likely to be a member of any terrorist group'. He entered Malaysia on Feb 20.
