Somebody (I wish I could remember who) brought up the Ibrahim sodomy trials and it's significance on the flight a while ago and posted this wiki link about it, and now it seems there may be a connection between the pilot and the trials?

ETA: It was John51 and Belimom

I love how the guy CNN there are not the "average terrorists".

I did not even know there was an "average" terrorist.

Sorry, I am burnt out because of all of this and things are making me :giggle:

Not sure if it's waves or what my eyes see ..could be floating debris or a school of fish?????
And there seems to be a larger blob behind whatever I am seeing

These are the co ordinates from tomnod from this tweet that was posted above

Not sure myself, but I think this same pic(s)/tile(s) were brought to the attention of the people running this search. The person who found it was sure it was floating seat cushions.
Again, not sure myself, it looks like SOMETHING that is not natural to the ocean. The blue seems too bright.

ETA- OK I just realized you are saying it's in the same panel as the one with the "plane".
I looked at those blue blobs before, but not in connection with the "plane". Very interesting.

You :rocker:

:blushing:
My co workers nag me on ocd work habits...LOL

I am hoping to hear news from the US Navy..I don't know why I have this strong feeling the Poseidon aircraft will locate something..

:please:

Yeah, I've never taken medication or anything, because I've never actually panicked about it - I don't like it, but I guess it doesn't seem real. And once take off is over, I pretty much relax. I freak out over things I have control of - I don't feel like it will accomplish anything on an aircraft. I know if I ever lived through an incident, it would seem real, and then I'd probably never fly again. My dad used to fly for business and was in the air during the 9/11 events and a bunch of other incidents, and he could not be calmer. I don't know how he deals. And I have never flown to a different country, nor do I plan to at this point. I feel very provincial, but I hate traveling and am not up for places without U.S. safety regulations.

I've started to get super jealous of people who do get these meds though - I see them pass out on planes and just sleep. I'd love that. I'm a chronic insomniac, and I when I take meds I'm still wide awake and not calm - my mind is too active for them to work. I'd have to get a ridiculously high dose pill, but it would be amazing to have the flight pass by while I sleep.

BBM  Were they aware of what was going on while they were in the air?

I hear you, I could be tranq darted elephant style and I'd still never be able to sleep on a plane. I just put on my headphones and get lost in my "flying" music and a few wine-a-roos.

I don't know a lot about Malaysia's political situation, but I feel like the tendency is for the media to focus on the radicals of any group. The pilot could have been a supporter of one of the opposition parties without being a fanatic - it wouldn't surprise me if this was some sort of political statement, but I do feel like we need much more info on that. He was still working, so he probably wasn't going out protesting violently, because in Malaysia, I'd imagine they lock up dissenters up reasonably quickly. I'm just saying we should be cautious, because wanting political change and committing murder-suicide or hijacking are two very different things.

Dead on, lawstudent.

Can't help but feel if he wanted to "make a statement" then by now the world should know or be aware of what he was trying to say!
(If suicide, some form of communication left beforehand, if hijacking and kidnapping, contact with demands.)
Maybe he planned something and it just got screwed up on him and the plane crashed.
My gut says this pilot was a good guy. So, I dunno :dunno:

Like I have said before, maybe this pilot was ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for his cause?

"My scenario of the hijack: Plane already landed somewhere. Demands are made to the M' sian government but one that may ultimately result in collapse of the M'sia government. Not monetary demand but something that may result in people revolt n chaos. So they are probably buying time now hence all the delay n ambiguity.

If you follow M'sia politic closely you would know what happens to the opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim in court A DAY before the hijack. Clue Anwar Ibrahim Sodomy II Trial"

It's been said in MSM that the co-pilot was religious tho I don't know what religion. I've read on other boards that the pilot was atheist but I don't know if that's true. So it's JMO
The pilot was said to be active politically. I did read both their FB but they've disappeared now-- the co- pilot's disappeared fast and the pilot's was there this morning but gone later. We can't post that here anyway, so this is all MOO

Jmo, moo and IMO. :)

Both the pilot and co-pilot are Muslim which is nothing strange as Malaysia is a Muslim majority country where about 55% of the population is Muslim.

I do think the Malaysian government know more than us but needed more time to negotiate themselves ouf of trouble. The lifes of 239 people is in their hands, you would not want to reveal every single thing that you know to the media which interest is only in making money from the sensational news. The ultimate responsibility is upon those calling the shot. Its good that all of us keyboard warriors wont likely be facing this kind of situation, god knows what could happen

I agree..
the field and the blob behind it don't look right
I thought floating debris, oil slick (but wouldn't satellite pick up an oil slick in that area by now?) school of fish since it's the ocean..I don't know but this picture sure has me curious

Do you notice the pattern? it looks like straight Lines with whatever it is in the water?

Does anyone know what colour the seats are in the cabin of MH370?

Am I reading the picture correctly..the imagery was taken on March 12, 2014..

All along I really wanted to believe that pilots would not selfishly take the lives of the passengers that they are entrusted to protect, but this latest article from the Mirror really is quite disturbing. Let's say there was a mental break. I know I've driven the car around aimlessly when I am upset but always end up driving back home. Could it be he did the same thing only in a plane. At some point couldn't he have just turned the transponder back on and find his way to an airport? What good is it to do something like that to show your disdain if no one knows you did it on purpose? Could he have left a note that they have now found?

I had to turn off CNN after someone gave the anchor a model plane.... Watching him "play" with it, as a demo... Was too much...I was so annoyed....

The arc passes close to northern Iran, through Afghanistan and northern Pakistan, and through northern India and the Himalayas and Myanmar. An aircraft flying on that arc would have to pass through air defense networks in India and Pakistan, whose mutual border is heavily militarized, as well as through Afghanistan, where the United States and other NATO countries have operated air bases for more than a decade.

Air bases near that arc include Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, where the United States Air Force’s 455th Air Expeditionary Wing is based, and an Indian air base, Hindon Air Force Station.

The southern arc, from Indonesia to the southern Indian Ocean, travels over open water with few islands. If the aircraft took that path, it might have passed near the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. These remote Australian islands, with a population of fewer than 1,000 people, have a small airport.

Got it!:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Possibility, but if he was making a political statement...where is it?

That's the $64,000.00 question! I've never been one to veer off into the conspiracy type theories myself, but this mystifying disappearance has me questioning everything about anything.

So if he were making a political statement (playing devil's advocate with myself), why wouldn't he announce it? What's the point of making a political statement if we don't KNOW it's a political statement?
