re; the tatoo, it looks like maybe she had something else on there first and tried to cover it up with a crude heart. If you look at the bottom of the heart where it should be pointed, you will see a horizontal line. Could be an ititial or name?

I have been off the thread for about a week. My 8 year old niece was climbing a tree and a limb broke, was operated on for a broken arm, and later passed away from a bleed in her brain unrelated to the fall. Long story but please keep us in your prayers. She had a breathing tube and now I can understand how MJD's mouth was swollen after her hospital stay. The tubes and tape around my precious niece's mouth and nose made her not look like the same person to me.

I am SO very sorry to hear about your niece. My daughter is the same age. God bless her and your family during this time.

Wow, 1 and 6. 6 kind of freaks me out as the pic is the spitting image of someone I worked with in the Chi town area in the mid 90's. though, she was 18 or 19 at least 4 years prior to our MJD being found.

Dee, do you think if we uploaded the pending not ruled out matches Shaine would be interested in looking at them?

If we can compile a single list, I would be happy to upload them to photobucket for you. If anyone thinks this is a good idea, let's put a list together on the possible match thread.

I think that's a great idea! I will definitely run it past Shaine. If you want to do a compilation of the pending, not ruled out matches and upload it to Photobucket and send me the link, I'll forward it to Shaine.

On a side note, she looks so familiar to me as well. I think that's why I feel the need to give her her name back.

As far as the composites go, #1 kind of looks crudely done (NO offense to whomever did it, I'm just being honest). He first said the last two, which was the "official" forensic artist's sketch and Angie's composite, so I wouldn't rule out the forensic artist's sketch either, since apparently it's close enough for him to say right off the bat, "the last two."

I had a dream last night about MJD. In my dream, MJD gets in the car on the promise that they'd give her a lift to Tucson. When she finds out they're not going to Tucson, but to Miami instead, she freaks out in the car and starts crying, demanding to get out. This pisses off Alonzo because he was trying to recruit MJD. He tells her, yeah I'll let you out at the next exit, but passes it. She freaks out even further, thinking that her life's in jeopardy. She tells Lindsay that she has to puke, so Lindsay rolls the window down and MJD gets on her lap. Instead of puking, MJD leaps out the window and rolls into the ditch.

Alonzo freaks out in my dream along with Lindsay and says to her, "Did you just f*cking see that?!?! Holy !" Lindsay's crying and says "Oh my God, what do we do?" Alonzo doesn't want to get in trouble for kidnapping or possible child prostitution so he keeps going. They work out their story in the car, agreeing that they'll tell the cops that they had no idea who the girl was and that she just hopped into the car at the liquor store and wanted a lift to Miami, Florida. Then the cops pull them over and I woke up.

I really shouldn't work on cases before bed. LOL

I didn't see shaines semi factual Blog regarding the events he witnessed that day.

Re: the TATT from everything I have seen so far, most of the times the pimps tattoo brand their girls its with a name/nickname. So unless maybe she belonged to someone else at one point and they had tattooed their initials on her, and then later the heart was a cover up as someone else said. Because I just cant see someone getting that one them ON PURPOSE......

so maybe these intials are an exboyfriend/pimp could they be KC slims initals???

I understand this completely-we are so close in a way that it is that pins and needles feeling...like please God, can we just get this one taken care of??? I was speaking to Christine2448 yesterday about some of the updates on this one, and we agreed that we all need to go an put flowers on her grave if the happy day comes that we can finally get a name on it....plus I want to hug all of you guys for working so diligently!

I think the ring is her pimp's as well. He probably wore it as a pinky ring and gave it to her to be his "girlfriend." If I recall correctly, wasn't there also a cross on her chain as well?

Has anyone ever seen "Pimps Up, Hoes Down?" It used to come on HBO and was a documentary about pimps and prostitutes. It included interviews with Chicago's Bishop Don Magic Juan who was an infamous pimp turned "pastor." The thing that stood out about him was even when he was a pimp, he still "preached" to his hoes. The documentary showed other pimps in action and they appeared to "preach" to their prostitutes too...

The coincidence here is that IF MJD was really wearing a cross on a chain with the man's ring, then maybe there's a biblical connection. Maybe the pimp lured her in by "preaching" to her like Don Magic Juan did to his hoes.

After asking around, someone told me there IS a biblical story of Jacob giving his SIGNET RING to a prostitute. I don't know the full story, so if someone can fill in the blanks, it would greatly help. Maybe there is a connection here?

(And I can't help but get a mental image of Snoop Dogg saying "chuuuch" at the moment.... :slap

OK-for those of you that got the hospital picture..

Can anyone photo-shop a close up of the earrings?

Her hair is yellower and roots much darker as FMW mentioned...I think it is clear that they did not expect her to live from the amount of blood on the sheet, et all.

Her face is thinner than in the ME photos and her ears from the angle of the LE photo are so tiny!! Really delicate. Dark black smeared eye liner and pretty, pretty skin.

I just want to cradle her...

Looks to me like Alonzo really wasn't telling the truth about knowing who she was. In the police report, a neighborhood man claims to have seen her with a man who had a car that matches Alonzo's several times...:furious:
I just didn't know until I saw the pic of his car.

Have the teen homeless centers been contacted for info about her? She may have been a hooker when she died, but she was not born that way and she probably wasn't in that line of work when she arrived in the area. So she had to eat, sleep and get medical treatment somewhere for those first few days or weeks before she was snatched up by a pimp. So who has been contacted and who hasn't? I have stamps, envelopes, unlimited calling and a lot of spare time. Just point me in a direction.

It can't hurt to call, but I think that she is ruled out based on the ME report-she does NOT have a scar on her neck. She didn't even require a trach so there would really have been nothing obstructing a clear view of the scar. JMO.
