regarding the cell phone vs. wallet debate - it could be both ... there are wristlets that have a cell phone slot down one side & the phone faces out so that could account for the reflection that some people are seeing

I see a strap protruding from it as well

On Nancy Grace tonight ---My transcript Part 2

Per Nancy, hope is dwindling

Cops don't know if kids would tell anybody who they are

Cops have searched park---found nothing

10 parks searched-----nothing found

Her Father had requested that his daughter not be left alone with the kids previously.

I.D. was found in contents of purse, thus they know it belonged to mom.

Park searches were sporadic, based on prior habits.

Kids HAVE NOT been seen with mother.

Nancy wonders what is going on in moms mind.

Is it true the mommy spent the night in an office building on Monday night ? Yes

Mommy caught on camera entering and leaving building she spent the night in.

Why did nobody notice her in office building ? Cops don't know (of course).

Why spend the night in that building ? Cops won't answer question.

Video cuts to other mothers that have had kids missing...................

End of report.

This is just so sad, those poor babies !!

There are two things that I just can't really wrap my brain around ...

(1) I read today that her father stated that one week ago they didn't know anything was wrong... I wonder if he was referring to her general state of mind or if her diagnosis is something new and they had not been informed yet? That would explain why he allowed her to take his car. http://www.capitalbay.com/index.php?news=557858

(2) I understand that they are common law married. But why do the children have her last name and not the fathers?

Something is not right about all of this.

Thanks for the synopsis Steelman!! I enjoyed it! I think by now most of the general public in that area have heard CH and the 2 kids are missing. I hope by tomorrow morning CH's chances of hiding in plain site are over!
I thought so too but I was talking to my boyfriend about it and he had no idea :/

if the parents arent married the mom has the option to put either last name on the birth certificate

OK now i'm really confused this article says he sells timeshares.... i thought he worked overnight...this article makes me think its more like a 3 to 11 kind of thing maybe? soo why didnt he realize the kids were gone that night?

from that article----They drove around for hours, looking for it, before Turner said they had to go the police and before Hoggle walked out of the Chick-fil-A. ---that makes more sense about why it took so long to look for the kids and why they stopped for food. She must have said she couldnt remember how to get to the daycare and he didnt want to go to the cops right away.

The kids would have been in bed when he got home. Im assuming he doesnt look in their room etc.
That is a good assumption but i'm thinking any dad that cares about his kids the way this guy is claiming to in his videos would peek in their room or kiss them goodnight before going to bed himself... especially when their mom has a history of mental illness..

True! I was just thinking that *I* always look at our kids but my husband doesnt. Neither have mental illnesses though.
I really cant believe they cant find her. Especially since shes staying in the area.

Sarah and the older child returned from the grandparents with Catherine that night. Catherine told Troy the same thing she told the grandparents, that Jacob was at a sleepover. Before Troy wakes up Catherine has taken Sarah from the home and told Troy that both kids were at daycare - inferring that she picked up Jacob from sleepover and took him to daycare.

A couple things this morning:

I missed this before about the other son - the one that is not missing:

Snipped...
...Police determined Monday night that Jacob had never been at a friend's home. Detectives are still working to determine where Catherine's other son was at this time.

And someone upthread mentioned the # of cops with their peepers peeled:

Snipped...
..."We are about 1,300 strong on the police department, of men and women on the street," said Montgomery County Asst. Police Chief Russ Hamill. "We need the eyes and ears of the community to help us find these little children and bring them safely home."

This partial quote (snipped below) caught my attention - it is on the screen of the 3rd video down at the same link but I can't get it to play for more details...

"...not an institution Catherine Hoggle Has authority to enter and no justifiable reason for being there."

I also don't see the complete quote in the report, maybe the video will play for y'all. Are they referring to the office building as the institution???...

Snipping one more blurb...
...Last year, Hoggle filed a complaint against a relative that included page after page of minute detail about the alleged theft of used clothing, News4's Jackie Bensen reported. Called "excessive writing," it is considered a symptom of schizophrenia.

In partial response to your qoutes:

Yes, they keep referring to the Office building where she was seen on Monday night as "an institution that she wasn't authorized to be at".

They won't identify the exact building, although someone here on WS knows which one it is. My guess would be that they don't want to identify it in order to keep the media and everybody else from disrupting the normal daily routine there at the office building. You know, reporters sticking microphones in peoples faces as they are trying to enter or leave the "institution".

In regards to the police department, he is stating that they have 1300 cops on duty, at least that is my take on it. On the Nancy Grace show the other night, the comment was made that they had "designated over 100 officers" to find this woman. I take that to mean that those 100 people are to do nothing but get out there and find this Mother. No traffic tickets, no parking tickets, no extended breakfast at the Dunkin Doughnuts....just get out there and find this woman, and don't come back here until you do !!

Oops, here I go with my excessive writing again.....sorry :banghead:

Not sure why they're calling it an institution, it is an office building that you need the proper
Identification to get into and she happened to sneak in as someone was leaving.

On Nancy Grace tonight ---My transcript

She likes to eat at McDonalds.

Police found contents of pocketbook----not pocketbook itself.

Possibly startled, possibly dumped contents to avoid I.D.

72 hours since kids have been seen--not with mother.

pocketbook emptied out in womans bathroom in office building.

Nancy's eyelashes look especially long tonight. (Fake ?)

Nancy demands to know where the children are. Nobody responds to her demand (crickets chirping)

Unleashing the lawyers now.

Susan Moss on now, screeching and yelling...........scary as ever.

The defense lawyers are stating the obvious ...."we need to find the children"

Nancy is turning on Peter Odom now for stating his opinion.

Slamming the defense attorneys again........

Susan Moss back on-----------basically repeating details of the case. Nancy agrees with everything she says (because they are friends).

commercial break.
