Montgomery County Police say that the remains of who they believe is the 11-year-old, who has been missing since Sept. 30, were found in the area of the 23000 block of Clarksburg Road in Clarksburg.

Montgomery County chief of police Thomas Manger announced a body was found on Tuesday morning, believed to be 11-year-old boy William McQuain.
On Wednesday morning, investigators concentrated their search in the wooded area near a Liberty gas station on Clarksburg Road in Clarksburg.
Police said at 9 a.m. this morning, a canine unit discovered human remains at the location.

Police and citizen volunteers have been searching intensively around Montgomery County for the missing boy. On Monday, investigators focused their efforts around the Comsat corporate campus in Clarksburg. Canines and mounted units have been part of the search.
There is an increased amount of activity in the search for 11-year old William McQuain, now missing for more than two weeks. A scheduled 10am briefing by police was called off and all attention in the search is located near the 23300 block of Clarksburg Road. A police helicopter is over the scene.

The remains were found by a dog handler. It's believed the body has been at the location since Oct. 1.
