Consider getting yourself certified as a verified insider to WS. This way your information would carry more weight and make the jobs of the WS Moderators a lot easier. They could be forced to edit your posts if the information is not verifiable. Just some helpful advice.

I submitted an email recently and am awaiting a confirmation call, I believe..

Though I may not have sufficient time to elaborate this morning, I have a confirmed contact and location for Anneliese at approximately 130am on Tuesday, the 26th. I can also report that a credible source suggests that there were no "suspicious" calls or texts made prior to her disappearance.
I can confirm this as well, as I have the same info from the person she spoke to/saw at 130am late Monday night/Tuesday morning.

I agree with all of this, save the information of Anneliese actually being observed by anyone. Also, the tow truck driver, as described in an earlier post by PunkCake [page 9], would not necessarily pull over to help as liability and obstruction to other calls may prevent them from doing so legally...

I concede that Maine may have different rules concerning tow trucks. In this neck of the woods, tow truck drivers jump each others tows all the time. On occasion it even devolves into armed confrontations. During my many visits, I did note older tow rigs in various states of repair sitting in peoples yards, notably in rural areas. One would assume that if you have a tow rig, you tow, legally or illegally....unless they are a popular yard decoration.

Very small update from the Town of Falmouth.
Thank god they're changing their search parameters a bit - I have a feeling they might find something now.

I haven't been looking since 10am, but have checked out the traffic on google periodically today and the only place I've seen any slowdown (approximate length of the yellow arrow) has ironically been exactly at mile marker 9...

I just jumped on 295 north and drove the route between exits 9 and 10. Both lanes were open with only two signs on the side of the road that said shoulder work. I didn't see anyone searching nor did I see a sign of any other activity so they may have already called it for the day or changed directions. Or, maybe they did find something.

Awesome you're checking it out!

Good to know they are searching - I’ve updated the media thread

I am not sure it "shoddily" fits a suicide scenario, I would say that it is one a few possible scenarios.

I frequently post this Sherlock Holmes quote:
“It is a capital mistake to theorize in advance of the facts. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories instead of theories to suit facts.”

The loose ends for me are:
  • A tow truck driver that would not instantly turn around when seeing her walking in the hopes of getting a tow job? Really? Towing is a competitive business, in some cases hand to mouth. If he works for a company, he would be wanting to impress management by getting a tow. If independent, he would be looking to feed his family.
  • No body. It's a little difficult to determine suicide, homicide or walk away without a body. Educated guesses perhaps, but not facts.
  • Depression and past suicidal thoughts do not always a suicide act make. I have tracked missing people in an altered state of mind. They do some odd things and sometimes succumb to exposure, not willful suicide.
It is possible she jumped into water from a bridge? Yes, it is possible she did, but lets not out of hand dismiss other potential scenarios until a body is located.
THANK YOU for everything you wrote in this post, Tracker.

Anneliese hasn't been found yet. Until she is, all options need to be kept open.

We have had folks disappear for awhile located elsewhere months later, or come back months later, alive.

O/T and SBM: THIS times a billion for most cases here!!! I frequently post this thought in my own sloppy wording but I think I will add it to my sig line. SO SO important to remember (AND PRACTICE) this here.

Great post and quote!

On the tow truck driver speculation, I would add that he may have been on a call so unable to catch the next exit, turn around, head southbound, and then on to the next exit to to get back on the northbound, again, looking for someone walking southbound. That also would have taken a lot time so, even if he was not on a call and did all of that, she could have been gone by the time he drove around. Estimating the amount of time to make the turn around would be my own thought process were I a tow truck driver, never mind if he was on a call.

That aside, bottom line, missing is missing and we are in agreement. Her status and whereabouts remain unknown.

Is this area, between those two exists (heading northbound), north or south of where the freeway, Middle Rd and train tressel go over the water?
