Reynolds said, "Its like a murder scene. literally looked like a murder scene."

She showed us a written recollection of what she saw that day: Blood stains on DiPietro's mattress and sheets and on the family couch, and blood droplets or splatters on the wall and floor of DiPietro's room, his shoes, and Ayla's princess slippers. She said she saw one of Ayla's dolls with blood smears on it as if she used it to wipe her face. A plastic tote in the room had a sheet inside that Trista says police told her was likely used to clean blood up. And, she said, Ayla's blood and dried vomit was in DiPietro's car.

I feel so sick right now. my god. I am so sorry, Ayla.

why hasn't that monster been arrested yet?

That is my question as well. At the very least the girlfriend should be arrested, maybe then she will spill the story about what really happened. JD was given a polygraph and lied about it. The polygraph seat cushion was also used. If I were a juror just hearing about what LE does know and what evidence they do have, I could find him guilty.

I have the feeling that this case will never progress without a confession. I wish they had the nerve to charge all the adults with murder and see what happens.

I agree...

I feel this is such a distortion of the law...

LE can't/won't arrest ANY of these 's because it is not known exactly who did what?

Well... They ALL have been at least complicit by lying/covering up/etc.!

so... Following this line of reasoning by LE or the DA or whoever... Even if poor little Ayla's body IS found... Then there will still, most likely, NOT be enough evidence to find who did what specifically... therefore, the correct "category" or "label" or legal term will not be ascertained... And these icky persons will go scot free!

It is such a shame that our legal system considers "categories" or "labels" or legal terms so much more important than the ultimate justice!

I hope this post makes sense...

:stormingmad: OMG ... no doubt, it was horrific what little Ayla went through ... :stormingmad:

:stormingmad: It is outrageous that JD and his accomplice(s) have NOT been arrested and charged with little Ayla's demise ...

And my :twocents: here : whoever is holding out on taking action against the perp(s) needs to take action NOW -- or be removed ... JMO ...

:please: for Ayla !...

Dog.Gone,
I've followed cases for years and I've noticed how the LE's hands are tied at times by seemly very Lazy DA's...waiting for cases that require little to no work on the DA's part.
or DA's that want an air tight case lain in their hands to add a WIN to their record/ego....sadly arrest are delayed....imo

:seeya: I agree, Mysterylover !

:twocents: In this case, it has to be the DA who is holding back on charging JD and his accomplice ...

I think Mr. McCausland and his team have done everything they can to find Ayla and evidence, and they know WHO is responsible for Ayla's demise ...

I remember when this case first broke, Mr. McCausland and his team were out there in the freezing cold and snow working hard to find Ayla !

The DA needs to get some you know whats and take action, IMO ..

From the Bangor Daily News :

Reynolds also said that she will hold a press conference in Lincoln Park, located across from Cumberland County Superior Court, on Sept. 25.

The press conference will be held after the scheduled court appearance of DiPietro on an assault charge unrelated to his daughter, according to information on the website.

From CNN :

Reynolds told CNN she was shown photographs of what appeared to be her daughter's blood discovered on the child's slippers and on a doll in her bedroom, and a silver-dollar-sized stain on a living room sofa.

From the New York Daily News :

Trista Reynolds said investigators showed her pictures of blood evidence collected inside the Waterville home where her 20-month-old daughter, Ayla Reynolds, was reported missing Dec. 17, 2011.

“What I thought right off my head was it was a murder scene,” she told CNN. “There was just like Ayla’s blood ... everywhere.”

It is good to see that Ayla's case is getting some attention and :please: that there will be some :jail:

I am not sure if Phoebe DiPietro's statement in response to Trista's statement was posted here ... but posting it just in case :

"Dear Members of the Media and Public --

For 21 months my family has been heartbroken waiting for word on Ayla. Praying daily and hoping every time the phone rings that the authorities have found Ayla. Blog world, the newspapers and even the evening news have a way of distorting the truth.

The remainder of PD's statement can be found at the link below.

How heart-breaking to think that Ayla was severely beaten while clinging to her doll. :tears: Her only source of comfort as her life was being taken from her.

The fact that the doll and slippers were (presumably) the only items with blood in Ayla's bedroom, while larger amounts of blood were found in her dad's bedroom (e.g., on his mattress), indicates that items were later moved. That is tampering with evidence!

JD claimed that Ayla was abducted from her bedroom, but blood evidence suggests she wasn't there right before she went missing.

Yeah. I noticed this statement by PD from the CNN link:
"Trista can say and do what she wants," Phoebe DiPietro wrote in a statement provided to CNN.
"We choose to hold on to hope that Ayla will be found, " she added.
Also (from the same link):
DiPietro's mother and Ayla's grandmother, Phoebe DiPietro, stands by her son.
"Everyone's standards for what is or isn't believable is different," DiPietro said.
She wouldn't comment on the alleged blood evidence.
So, she's implying she doesn't believe the blood evidence? This is undermining police work - I guess it doesn't agree with her standards. Obviously, she's putting up a facade for her son. I think she's just incriminating herself in this more and more by ignoring the facts and insisting Ayla will be found alive. We all know what her reaction will be when Ayla (her body) is found. She will suddenly clam up.

:seeya: WOW -- THANK YOU for the update !

Relatives clash at hearing for Ayla Reynolds' father

DiPietro’s mother, Phoebe DiPietro, called Trista Reynold’s father, Ron Reynolds, an obscenity in the courtroom, prompting him to follow her into the courthouse hallway, where their confrontation escalated, according to witnesses.

Both Phoebe DiPietro and Ron Reynolds were escorted from the building by judicial marshals, followed shortly afterward by Trista Reynolds and other members of her family who were also asked to leave.

Is it just a coincidence that the charges were dropped right after Trista released the information? IDK if there is some sort of connection...

From the Bangor Daily News :

Justin DiPietro, the father of Ayla Reynolds, appeared in Superior Court for charges of assault and violating conditions of release. The charges were unrelated to Ayla’s disappearance. He pleaded guilty to the violating conditions of release charge and the assault charge was dismissed. He was ordered to pay a $150 fine and serve four days in jail, but was credited with time served.
