I wonder if she was restless, got up at 3:30am and decided to go for a run? Somehow she was injured or maybe it was a hit and run?

I wouldn't rule anything out at this point. Like someone said above, crime scene has to come out to rule out foul play, so this could still very well be a suicide. I was just answering as far as why, if the husband DID hurt her, would he leave her so close.

I remember the terrain being described as “dense” difficultnto see objects right in front of you
I'm also wondering how soon it was searched after she went missing. Is it possible that they searched there, she wasn't there.

I HATE TO SAY THIS - animal activity? Maybe she actually wasn't there when they first searched, and then animal activity occurred, bringing her there?

The NP has been in the back of my mind through all this, she will never want to take a depressed person’s assurances ever again. I truly believe KW ate a full meal and went jogging, seemed upbeat, Bc she knew what she was going to do.
