Justice would be to charge him and give him the right to have a defense. By not charging him but using the threat as a factor in his sentencing recommendations strikes me as an abuse of power. But that doesn't surprise me about McDonald.

Lehman already put his defense to the judge, it came from her alternate universe, the same one Smith exists in, Jimmy was venting.
That should score points with Matthews for sure.lol
 
Talking about a"conflict of interest" I see Smith's offer to Judge Matthews of having JC reside in her guest house with a tether instead of being incarcerated is just that, a "conflict of interest".

PONTIAC, Mich. — The first parents to ever be charged, then convicted, in their child's mass shooting at a U.S. school are expected to face the victims Tuesday morning during a sentencing hearing in a Michigan courtroom.

James and Jennifer Crumbley are set to appear together, according to two sources close to the case — the first time they would have seen each other since they attended joint hearings before their trials were separated last fall. Their teenage son, Ethan, pleaded guilty as an adult to the 2021 shooting at Oxford High School in suburban Detroit and was sentenced to life in prison.

Now, his parents — found guilty on four counts of involuntary manslaughter, one for each of the students their son killed — could face significant prison time...
 
Will they have victims impact statements before sentencing?
 
I wonder if they will be in the court room together?
I have appoints this morning going to miss most of the sentencing.
 
Why are both Crumbley's back in their prison garb?
Is it standard procedure for sentencing?

They are both seated at the defense table with James' attorney between them. It seems like Jennifer keeps glancing at James but they aren't really making much eye contact so far. It's crazy how he looks relatively the same as he did 2.5 years ago and she has changed so drastically.
 
Crumbley attorneys are asking for corrections to the PSI report.
