Just came upon this photo that I hadn't seen before. I don''t know if the shoes are still there:

Murder on the mind: The hunt for Ally Brueger's killer
The running shoes of Ally Brueger hang in the front yard of the Rose Township home she shared with her parents until she was killed two miles away July 30 while running on Fish Lake Road. (Photo: Susan Bromley)

Apparently she did have an interest in poetry. She had one oublished in a contest when she was 17. I can't read it, but there is a photo of the poem

Murder on the mind: The hunt for Ally Brueger's killer
Ally grew up to be a fan of authors, including Stephen King, Ray Bradbury and David Sedaris, who she went to see with her mother when he appeared at Michigan State University. She also loved poetry; Nikki retrieves a thick tome titled “The Poetry of Pablo Neruda.” She has another book of poetry as well, one in which a poem titled “Pacifier,” written by a 17-year-old Ally, then a Holly High School student, was published in a contest, as well as her thoughts on the piece.

Ally explained her poem “came from a general hope for keeping the next generation of children open-minded. In writing it I was reminded of my own childhood, and the kind of life I might like to provide for my future family. In writing I also became aware of how impressionable children are, and how quickly life as a youngster flies by. I tried to capture the most precious moments of a young person’s life in the poem, and the effect they have on the witnessing parent.”

A few bits from the Heather Catallo story in March 2018, before the CWD story aired:

New clues emerge in case of Metro Detroit nurse murdered while jogging

--Michigan State Police say they found four shotgun casings at the scene. Only one of those shots hit Ally.

--She loved animals and planned to get her PhD in poetry. To fund her dream of becoming a writer, the 31-year-old worked long hours as a nurse at Providence Park Hospital in Novi. That’s where she met her ex-boyfriend Wes Sutherland, who also works there.

--Nikki Brueger says she and her husband only met Sutherland one time during Ally’s 2-year relationship with him.

--
“I am her mother - whether she’s here in the flesh or in the spirit. That never goes away and I have a huge hole that will never be filled without her. And he doesn’t know this, his loss is not the same,” said Nikki.

They also question why Sutherland is so quick to blame them.

--(Franz): Franz. "I honestly, I'm hoping not, that he's involved. But you never know."

--"Do some soul searching, and [ask] did I miss something? Did I hear something,"said Franz. "Just say something that you noticed. That's the only thing, the only hope we have."

I imagine this press conference video has been posted somewhere in these threads, but it is worth reposting, you can hear/see both parents speaking, along with LE. April 2017
Nikki is the strong one, her father has a very difficult time speaking toward the end. I cannot believe this is just an act.

"Only a coward would shoot someone who looked like a child in the back"

WS said on here he went out with AB for 3 years, not 2 as NB says in the interview (one year initially then two years living together). NB may only be aware of when AB went to live with him. Did AB live at home before she moved in with WS?

Who knows? Wes is the only one getting any audience here.

They have tyre tracks (WS says they took molds of his car tyres) and pictures? footprints? of sandals. Also shotgun shells, gunshot evidence, white or light sedan evidence, time of attack, number of shots fired and neighbour reports of gunshots. That's all I can think of unless A said anything before she died or she had touched/fought the perp before running away.
I can't imagine what that could be.

But he knew she was not a child. Biting my tongue.

By that same logic, we don't know if what we are being told is the truth or an exaggerarion, either. By anyone. Boyfriend, parents, LE.

I'm just stating where i see differences . Nothing to do with logic AFAICS.

It's easy to possess a gun, whether by buying or inheriting, trade, borrow. Or stealing. This could be a recently sold shotgun or one that has been "in the family" for many years. we just don't know

That article seems to indicate otherwise, imo.
Eg..denial due to MH issues.

Good grief .... I'm in Michigan and know how easy it is to get guns of all kinds. I can even have guns without buying them and no papertrail. Relatives have died and we "inheritrd" without paperwork, Reltives have traded between themselves. Some of us have had our "own" guns since we were kids hunting with dad. Some just use their dad's or a relatives and keep them for longer than they should.

The article says:
--In Michigan, most people can walk into a gun shop and walk out with a shotgun or rifle within an hour
.
--To buy and carry a handgun, the process is more extensive
--specialty weapons, such as full automatic weapons or silencers and explosives = much more extensive application and background check

sounds pretty easy to legally buy a shotgun here

That’s because I’m the only one who can provide any insight into this investigation.

As far as LE claiming I’ve lied to them... I’ve discussed this in a previous post... but just to refresh:
I’ve heard this accusation from LE multiple times during all of my questioning... Anytime they’ve accused my of lying I ask the same question: “Name a single thing I’ve lied about!”
I never get an answer. NEVER! I’ve realized over time this is something they were just going to keep repeating without giving any examples... just like they did in the interview.

They’ve admitted to me privately that they have no evidence to suggest I had anything to do with Ally’s murder. The ONLY reason Im considered a suspect is because I don’t have an alibi. I was home alone sleeping for my shift later that night.

I’ve personally told multiple investigators (to their face and over the phone) that it is irresponsible for them to suggest they have evidence to suggest otherwise! And that I believe they should be forced to admit what they’ve admitted to me privately. They’ve refused.
