A tipster has come forward and provided info that has led to this latest search, and the discovery of some clothing (?) of Chelsea's. So we can extrapolate and believe there are at least two people who have knowledge of this crime.

But my question is, how many more? Was this a gang of people from the party carrying out some sick sacrifice? We know according to LE that most at the party were in an altered state. If you listen to the lyrics of Pick Axe Preacher, it is promoting the underworld, death, violence.
Was this a group attack?
God, I pray it wasn't [emoji22]

Helicopter, K9 search for Chelsea Bruck in Flat Rock

22-year-old woman missing since October 2014

FLAT ROCK, Mich. -
On Monday morning the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, with help from the Michigan State Police, continued looking for clues to where Chelsea Bruck may be.

Bruck, 22, disappeared after a Halloween party in October 2014. She was wearing a Poison Ivy costume; a costume just like it was found near an abandoned building in Flat Rock on Sunday.

A state police helicopter and K9 team spent hours searching the area on Monday. Police did not say if anything else was found, but did say that search was just one part of their investigation. So far, they have followed up on 650 tips, some of which led to them utilize dive teams to search...

Question for anyone who lives near the Monroe area or has been near Flat Rock in the area of the search: What bodies of water are nearby? My instinct tells me that Chelsea is in water.

The area LE searched is/was owned by Petroleum Specialties, Inc., 26361 Peters Rd, Flat Rock. It's around 60 acres. The largest bodies of water nearby are the Huron to the east and the Detroit river to west. A little closer are Smith Creek to the east and Brownstown Creek to the west but I don't know how big/deep either are.

Petroleum Specialties has a nasty history in terms of the environment:

Located on Peters Road south of Van Horn, PSI was a small petroleum processing and storage facility, one of three located Downriver back then (Marathon in Melvindale and Socony in Woodhaven the other major producers). Given the type of damages eventually found on site, the facility was not in production for that long; having opened in the 1930s and closed by sometime in 1964. With a storage capacity of 17 million gallons, the property lay abandoned for nearly twenty-five years, all its contaminating fluids still in place, seeping into the groundwater and making for a hazardous situation.

ETA: It appears most of the outbuildings are gone which probably includes the storage containers. Still, not a good place to be.

the leaf looks like a different material, and a different shape. The single leaf is more rounded; Chelsea's are softer and somewhat three-points. JMO

Wonder how long that lone leaf has been out in the elements? If it was from Chelsea's costume, it's been through a long, cold, snowy winter and rain in recent weeks. I can't imagine a fabric leaf not belonging to Chelsea's costume being found in the area that is being searched. :moo:

I wish they would have checked it for a fingerprint just in case.

I was thinking the same thing. What are the odds of having a false fake leaf in the same area as her costume with fake leaves. I cannot imagine they are not related, even if it did not actually come from her costume. Maybe someone was trying to lead them there without saying something? I dont know, but I know I have never randomly found a fake leaf, especially near a costume of fake leaves.

It would be spectacular if the cell phone found, offers some clue as to person or persons involved.

It's a complicated case GigTu, LE has found evidence. Tests results, when the evidence may have been placed there, the tip, all may lead to some resolution for the Brucks, who've pushed so hard to find Chelsea. They're a very strong family in control of the facts and in working with LE.
I know, I've been following the case and news, FB, etc. I knew we wouldn't get a happy ending, but she has such a sweet smile and is so loved that I just wanted a miracle. They need closure. I just need a hug. :(

Thanks for all the information and links, all. Any idea what that building with the blue front, right next to the RR may be?

She made her costume over the course of a couple of week, IIRC, so Chelsea may have used a variety of leaves, IIRC.

margarita25, not exactly that, but close.

I can't find a really good map of all the water areas around here. Nowhere would one have to go far to find rivers, streams, or marshes, though. Here is an example of the Huron River -- it goes from Belleville, Michigan through Flat a Rock, to Lake Erie.

Thank you, Spellie. Do you think they use those big wooden spool looking things, same as used for bar tables set up and down at BM's bash, to wind the steel coils on. It's the kind of thing that company may have thrown out and somebody knew to scavenge, it seems possible?

http://www.hrwc.org/the-watershed/maps/ there are some maps here that may help.

Can anyone makes head or tails of this? Found it looking up maps of "Flat Rock mich geological survey" google image search. The link the site seems down.

A new search area needs to be set up from where the evidence was found going out gradually to 13 miles,

I hope this leads to a break in the case. this family sure needs one.

I don't know much about steel or the spools, but I would think they are extremely heavy even when empty. It would probably be hard to just pick one up, I would think. Maybe someone else know the answer to that question. The Steel company most likely has security cameras/protection that would avert nefarious activity. Maybe they recycle them somehow. JMO

I couldn't tell much from those maps. I had seen them, but they were too confusing for my brain tonight. Sorry.

Thanks, Spellie, good to know. Will keep looking for a good version.

It honestly never occurred to me that a band member might be involved. But these kinds of questions (and the graffiti similarities) make you scratch your head and go hmmmmm... That would be such a betrayal. In every picture she just looks so happy, and sweet and trusting.

Thank you, this link has updates too, for quotes, if needed.

“We were afraid they would stop looking months ago,” Kassie said. “So actually the fact that we’re at 5 ½ months and still having these searches and (they’re) going on leads, it’s not a concern that they’ll stop."

“Easter was very hard,” said Kassie. “I was frustrated. You get angry, but today I’m a little more positive and I’m feeling a little better about the situation. It changes every day."
