i see now. But i still wouldnt refer to redford as a small town where everyone knows everybody... thats what i would refer to a small town out in the country, but i digress

Agreed. I grew up in Detroit but went to high school in Redford. It's not a rural small town at all and has many more than three lights. Right on the border of Detroit, so I agree. I don't know Danielle but have friends who do. Hoping for the best.

Hoping Danielle is found safe. The friend who contacted Danielle's parents so promptly after she didn't arrive for a get together speaks volumes to me as Danielle appears to be someone who doesn't miss a date.

When did the friend alert her parents? The same night or the next day?

It was the next day around 6 p.m. After having not shown up for their get together and then not showing up for work on Saturday, the friend was very worried.

Going back to what thesaint listed about Redford, the city has absolutely changed demographically over the years compared to what I grew up with. When I was there it was diverse but definitely still predominantly white. It has since grown far more diverse and the black community is far more prominent now. This is certainly due to the repeal of those work laws (though there are many other contributing factors as well), and it's a good thing. The city officials in Detroit have a very long history of corruption (Kwame Kilpatrick and beyond) and the children suffered for it. There are many rehabilitation programs taking place in certain Detroit schools currently, but the system itself is still broken. A visit to one of those schools is heartbreaking. The kids are not given a fair chance and I'm glad Redford Union was one of the places that welcomed black students from Detroit. Diversity is the progressive way forward. It's who we should fight to be as a people. If you are unfamiliar with the area and are ever visiting Metro Detroit, turn on the local news one evening and just take it all in for a few hours. You'll get a startling view of the day to day reality of Detroit citizens. Detroit is fighting to come back and the artistic community is doing some really exciting things in the city right now, but it's going to be a very long road.

Anyway, yes, back to Danielle. Candlelight vigil is today and there will also be family and friends handing out fliers to attendants of the Ward Church Christmas program this evening. There will be at least a couple thousand people there so hopefully that helps boost attention locally even if it's only a little bit. Every bit helps.

Info the police are asking for:

Farmington Hills Police are also asking help from the public for:

Anyone who may have observed Stislicki and/or her vehicle leaving the Met Life office building/parking lot on Dec. 2.

Anyone who may have observed Stislicki and/or her vehicle arriving at her residence between 5 p.m. Dec. 2 and 6 p.m. Dec. 3.

Anyone who may have observed her any time between 5 p.m. Dec. 2 and 6 p.m. Dec. 3, when her car was located.

Anyone who may have seen or found a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime cell phone in a rose-colored case and key chain with a charm and two keys.
********************************

So they are trying to confirm the time she left work. If she left alone. If she went straight home and arrived home betwwen 5 and 6. So probably trying to find out if she was driving
or.someone else.

Her car was found where it was expected to be. This points to something happening after or as she got home. If not and someone else parked the car where it was found, they know her habits.

I wonder if she socialised with any neighbors? Is there anyone that other residents have noticed acting funny. Where were her neighbors between 6 on Friday and 6 on Saturday? I think this is important. Is it possible she parked, grabbed her keys and phone and stopped by someone else's apartment before going into hers?

I think I read there is no evidence she was in her apt after work? Does anyone know if she had a habit of leaving her wallet in the car? My daughter doesnt carry a purse and will lock her wallet in the glovebox if she is out and about. She does that in case she needs her ID or money but doesnt carry it around with her. So I can see how her keys and phone would be with her, but no other belongings. I hope LE is interviewing her neighbors extensively.

Praying someone saw something and Danielle is found safe soon!

Newbie here. I am originally from MI but now live out of state and have been seeing this pop up on my FB feed through relatives that still live in MI. I always find it interesting to read web sleuths over the past few years when cases get my attention. I think I started when Jennifer Hutson went missing in Oregon (where I currently live).

I had a thought about her leaving her purse in her car. I do it occasionally, even though I live in a neighborhood with a bit of petty crime. I know some people were searching for answers of why she would do that. One thing I thought of was because it sounds like she was going to carry stuff out to the car from her apartment. Maybe food for the dinner she was making or her packed bag. If I know I have to carry things extra things with me and don't need my wallet, I leave my purse in the car most of the time because I'm just sort of lazy that way. So I'm just throwing that out there. I hope Danielle is found soon!

:welcome: tm! and her leaving purse in car puzzles me, if it was left in plain sight. Why not hide it under a seat, or put it in trunk - unless she knew she was only going to leave it for a few minutes.... or was someone outside whom she knew by her car and figured it was okay?

I don't think we know exactly where in the jeep her purse was. Just that it was there.

Since you know Danielle personally, Holocene, perhaps you can enlighten us about her current hair color. In the two photos that have been published in local media, Danielle's hair is dark brown in one photo (teal sweater) but much lighter in the other (maroon dress). Which is closer to her hair color at the time she disappeared? Thanks.

I won't be able to attend the vigil, but I will light a candle in support of the family and friends of Danielle.

Yes, it was lighter on the Sunday before she went missing. Not the dark, dark color CBS broadcast. She did change it on occasion. We're telling ourselves it's okay they're sharing the varying color photos because of it, but I do hope it doesn't cause any unnecessary confusion.

Also, Danielle often throws her hair into a messy bun on top of her head when she doesn't have time for it

Praying for Danielle and all who love her. I will be there in spirit :praying:

Family and friends of missing Farmington Hills woman Danielle Stislicki will be hosting a candlelight vigil for the 28-year-old Saturday as the reward for information leading police to her has grown to more than $120,000.

Stislicki was last seen leaving work at MetLife in Southfield — located on Telegraph Road, north of 10 Mile Road — on Friday, Dec. 2. She was driving a 2015 black Jeep Renegade with road dirt on it. She had made plans to go to a good friend’s home, cook dinner and hang out, but never showed...

Yes, I've seen at least one picture of Danielle with a bun. In that photo, she's wearing large black glasses (see photo in above Oakland Press article). Does she wear glasses sometimes? Contacts?

Didn't a coworker or coworkers observe her leaving or was she the only one still at the office when she left?
Assuming the office is staffed by more than one.
