Jury hears medical experts in day two of Brandon Hayes trial

Medical experts testified that 4-year-old Dominick Calhoun was battered from his head to the soles of his feet when they attempted to treat him after he was beaten over the course of four days.

Tyler ended up not testifying yesterday but will do so today. Brandon will be in the courtroom when he does.


After Tyler testified for the grand jury additional charges of child abuse were added to the charges Brandon already faced for the atrocities he committed against Dominick. Tyler you're a strong little man and I'll have you in my thoughts tomorrow.

Brandon Joshua-Frederick Hayes, 26, is expected to be sentenced to life in prison without parole for after a jury convicted him of murder, torture and child abuse in the death of 4-year-old Dominick Calhoun, who died April 12, 2010, after life supported was stopped.

Dominick's mother, Corrine Baker, reached a plea deal with prosecutors in which she pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in exchange for prosecutors recommending a 13-year to 30-year prison sentence.

The Michigan House unanimously approved legislation known as "Dominick's Law" on Thursday.

The legislation would "strengthen penalties for child abuse in Michigan and create penalties for abuse in front of other people."

A book! I urge everyone to please do NOT buy this book! This is outrageous.

Baker has appealed her conviction and a Hearing is scheduled for 3/12/13.
