I have little dead leaves showing up in my yard already. As soon as the nights are consistently in the 50s, they are sure to really start turning.

The more time that goes on, the less convinced I am that sketchy witness accounts equal outright lies. I feel like those scenerios would have likely been found out by now.

I just have an eerie sense of something or someone lurking. It's getting under my skin.

<respectfully snipped> A few falling leaves here, too, but mostly DH and I have noticed that the squirrels seem to be scurrying around looking for and hiding acorns. We also see the little critters eating berries from our Adam's Crab and Dogwood.

The "witness" accounts of the silver minivan and the POI were bogus from the get-go. :moo:

Someone who believes that they have gotten away with (whatever crime has been committed) is bold and brazen enough to do it again. :scared:

The abductor must have disposed of the minivan. He could have driven it into deep water off a bridge or if he is a professional criminal he took it to a chop shop and the vehicle doesn't exist anymore.

Or the abductor may already took the van to an auto wrecking yard and had the van crushed by a crusher machine.

I forgot that possibility. I wonder if the yards keep records. Today was a rainy day in Norton Shores. The leaves are slowly falling off the trees. It was not a good day for searching. I hope some local sluthes will continue to look for Jessica and the van.:party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::

LE has to have more than one witness that helped to develop the picture of the suspect. I am not aware of who these witnesses are. They may not have disclosed the names of all the witnesses that saw him. He may have been seen at other stations as well.

This is bull excrement. I just can't believe there is noooooooooothing here.

Marilyn, I just saw that article too. Another article (I think it was on WOOD) said that the cause of death wasn't suspicious.

Missing in Michigan

Welcome

Who Should Attend

Michigan's Missing Person's Day Families and Friends affected by the mysterious disappearance of a loved on and the communities and organizations that assist to bring them home...

Sarah Krebs who runs the rally; invited Jessica's family via a FB group that the family is on. Glad Jessica's family was able to go.

If you watch the video; you will see a poster for Aundria Bowman that WS member Little Lulu made.

Families With Missing Loved Ones Gather From Across The State

Homrich has heard of this event before but things changed for her four months ago when her grand daughter, Jessica Heeringa, went missing from Norton Shores. Police said Heeringa was likely abducted from a gas station.

“You see the posters and you think, oh that is too bad, but you go on with your life. But when it happens to you then you start thinking, I’ve got to start looking at these posters and I want to help these families too,” she said.

While Homrich was attending the event for the first time, others have been to the ‘Missing in Michigan’ event before. Kellie Greene is the cousin of Richard Hitchcock a person missing from Allegan since 1990.

You gave me another idea here.

If the abductor did dispose of the van, then the abductor likely cancelled or let the insurance laspe on the van.

Are the insurance companies in Michigan required to notify the Michigan Department of Motor Vehicles if a driver cancels or lets their vehicle insurance policy laspe?

I presume that Michigan has a vehicle insurance law requiring all drivers to maintain insurance on vehicles they own.

Another thought here. If the abductor did dispose the van into the water, the van could be hidden on private property in a rural area, either in a pond or quarry.

The thing is, what is the reality that a van was Not used in Jessica's abduction case? Yes, a van was seen on the video, but could that be a red herring? Just because someone says it is so, doesn't make it so, if it isn't so.
So, without 100 percent proof, who is to say a van was used?
When JA talked to the reporter, he mentioned that he went past the station and saw the cop cars and thought they got robbed. He was also at the station before Jessica was abducted. Could it have been his vehicle seen on video, if he has a van....?? And he might not have anything to do with her disappearance.... and seeing as two co-workers were also at the store and in the area, maybe the witness described JA's vehicle.........but there is no proof that Jessica got in a van, and the sketch, nobody has been able to place the face.....In My Opinion, that sketch is a composite of several people, (which could look like JA AND Jessica's boss put together as one person, AND they both have been cleared to my understanding) and I think it is a red Herring as well. And the wild goose chase...it is not lost on the Norton Shores Police, because if LE doesn't believe the witness's accounts now, you can be sure they are watching people; Several people and you can bet they will wonder why stories were made up if that is the case.
IMOO.

Great discussion about the van. There were 5 sightings of it. I think it was real. To change topic. the human remains found sunday have not been updated. I have not seen anything on age or sex or probable ID. There are about 145 different sets of remains not identified in Michigan.

This is probably not Jessica, but just in case:

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MI — A hunter stumbled upon human remains here Sunday afternoon, in a heavily wooded area near a subdivision, police said.

I plead ignorance to the geography. Where is this in relation to the gas station and her home?

According to Google Maps, it is 189 miles (3 hours, 7 minutes) on US-131 S and 223 miles (3 hours, 12 minutes) using I-75 S and I-96 W from Standish to Norton Shores.

Thank you.
For some reason, I have no confidence in the van "sighting". Just a gut feeling and I may be completely wrong.
